Maybe its just me...

Maybe its just me, but does anyone else find it weird that there`s going to be two versions of the same game running in parallel with each other. Classic in retail. A player will have to level their classic toons, then logout and level their retail toons. Seems double the work. When a new expansion comes out will people may neglect classic to play the latest expansion content. Realm populations will constantly fluctuate in a given period of time.

It all seems weird to me. You may have to choose sides permanently. Classic or retail. Due to time constraints.

>retailfags
>playing classic
all tourists who will quit after a few weeks because it's an actual mmorpg instead of diablo lite

Yeah super wierd how retail will literally be left only with whales with too much gold invested and underage faggots. Super wierd!

While classic will be filled with every white national socialistic redpill man to ever exist.
WIEIRD?!

The Horde is where LeftyLads like myself play. Leave the shitty nazi's to their Alliance and we can have em on farm all day.

>implying anyone will play retail once classic is out
those that do should stay there because they will just bitch about the leveling/mob/dungeons/abilities in classic

Just look at runscape, all the good people flok to OSRS, same happens with wow, all the good people will flok to classic.

classic is only becoming a thing in the first place because so many people are turned off of retail. there may be some overlap between player bases, but most people interested in classic have little to no interest in retail, and i doubt that will change given nublizzard's design philosophy unless they pull a massive 180 in how they approach the next expansion.

> diablo lite
If only that were true I would be actually playing retail

>Seems double the work.
leveling from 1-120 or whatever the max level is takes less than a quarter of time needed for 1-60 in classic

In the time it takes to level one toon to max in classic you can level an entire server's worth of alts and still not be there. You can't compare the two experiences these days.

Cringe.

Yeah man it's never been done before!

Classic will last a couple of months at best sweetie :)

>Seems double the work
Time to reach level cap increased in TBC, although after 2.3 reduced 20-60 experience requirements, only slightly. Wrath 1-80 on the other hand is faster than TBC 1-70, Cataclysm 1-85 is faster than Wrath 1-80 and I'd imagine this trend has continued further (it certainly has if you take pay2win level boost into account).

Gaming is dead, and I’ve wasted my life thinking I could always waste it some more. I don’t like these feelings of inadequacy.

>Toons
Jannies delete this thread, thanks.

Is orc shaman the master class?

I'm really itching to play WoW but I know all that's waiting for me is rep grinds and LFR.

August can't come soon enough.

I was never good at WoW, i won't pretend i was but i wish they would make just the regular dungeons hard for groups to beat again. Not just something you can run through like you're getting boosted by a max-level character

Just a reminder that raiding in classic will be a lot more casual than it was in vanilla, so don't worry about what class and spec you play, just try to play it to its fullest potential.

Only retailfags play Classic or Retail WoW. Vanillafags quit WoW long ago and have no interest in Classic WoW.

Honestly at this point I'd prefer if they just pull an OSRS with Classic where they at least try to keep adding shit with the older design philosophy in mind
Leave "Pure Vanilla" servers up for people who just want the 1.12 experience.

it's not weird at all
the gaming is industry is incredibly young and highly unprofessional, even big companies regularly fuck up the most basic things

to professional companies, having multiple, similar products with slight changes to them is completely normal in order to accommodate the consumers needs

again, gaming companies in general are highly unprofessional, since the core development teams tend to be highly egoistical, only developing things they would want for themselves, while perceiving customer surveys and true customer orientation as an attack on their creativity

MONOTONOUS NOT MY MOUNT COLLECTION NOOOO

>double the work
There's nothing to do on live. pvp is cancer and dead and m+ is boring as fuck.
