Just learn Japanese if you're not satisfied with the work of others.

Imagine
reminder that now that it has a complete translation patch FE5 sucks and Berwick Saga is our favorite
It's these problems that only fire can fix.
Fates was aimed to its audience all along. Who knew?
now we have to wait until someone fixes them
The Ciro translation is better.
We will never have a proper, competent translation team for Thracia will we
>he doesn't know japanese

Don't like it, don't play it.
This game is not for you, this game was made by sjw redditors for sjw redditors. Even so they will not play it. You don't have to care about this. Work time well spent.
no
Can someone give me a quick rundown on what I'm seeing?
FE5 was the only FE game without a complete translation. Then the guy in charge of this now completed project basically went full "Treehouse please hire me!" mode on his fan translation project making some of the absolute most retarded changes for no real reason and then making fun of people who just want a straight literal translation.
The first translation is bland as fuck sounds like generic, forgettable jrpg tripe. The 2nd has a feeling like it's out of an epic movie. I can even imagine myself saying quotes from it to my friends.
Which is funny because Treehouse lost their
>HAHAH WE'RE GONNA BE CHANGING THIS YOU GONNA CRY ABOUT IT FUCKING WEEB?
powers years ago.
left is the literal translation of the japanese tex, right is his localized version with "epic" and deep dialogue
Hi Ciro. Your writing is terrible and this garbage you've put out is embarassing.
Personally I would like:
- story in japanese
- english menus
- no bugs/crashes
- ability to rename the characters whatever I want
Is this possible, and if so how much work does it take to rename characters?
Yikes, now I regret downloading the patch
What are the nicknames?
Fucker, if I wanted a localization, I'd be egging treehouse. I want the fucking game as the japanese original intended, FUCK, why is that such a rough concept to understand.
>FE5 patch came out
>oh maybe I should grab that
>didn't because lazy
>see this
For the love of fucking god, do people not understand what the differences are between translating and adding in your own fanfic shit?
The original english patch is very complete. Ironically only a few menus are broken, but it's completely playable.
Exactly this. Its a fan translation, not an official localization
The ending slides aren't translated and some other in game text also isn't translated. The patch also has some left over memes in it, most likely for making sure the testers were reading, it's playable but not exactly the proper way to play FE5.
And even then it's still much better than this.
And it also has a bunch of memes in it.
>It's still much better than this.
Hah, no. The original translation is full of memes, mistranslations, and flat out untranslated/bugged dialogue.
IN AMERICA
I'd take that over some retards ego trip "localization".
I watched mekkah playing the new patch when it came out and had a bad feeling when he invited the translator on to talk while playing, dude sounded like a sperg so this doesn't surprise me.
Can't say for Nanna but she calls Leif "Little Leif" in the early chapters.
I can't learn Japanese.
So does this one. This one has a lot more rewriting going on.
This is juicy. Any more of this Ciro guy? He’s full-on huffing his own farts level.

There's this.
I can't read Japanese nor know how to create a translation patch. I am almost starting to think that getting a script of the entire game and organizing it to reference while playing the original game would be best.
Well, you clearly have an idea how this game is supposed to be translated. So let's see you all do better. Translate it yourselves if you're so great.
If i had more time i would. It doesnt take much to do better than this Ciro guy
Knowing how it should go isn't difficult, it's the other shit involved in getting to that point that's the issue.
