Why aren't you playing a JRPG right now?
Why aren't you playing a JRPG right now?
I am wagecucking right now.
Miss the neet life
I've been playing nier a tomato does that count as a jrpg?
played a bit more of dragon quest 11 earlier. I dont enjoy shovelware published by xseed so its few and far between when a decent title comes out
waiting for DQ Builders 2
Have nothing to play since DQXI
I'm playing Xenoblade 2 right now and I really don't see the appeal. The combat and story are hilariously bad, yet I see threads praising both all the time.
Getting older, so now I want to play as an older male character, but they are all teens or toddlers with swords and a hero-like instinct, instead of a conflicted character in a broken world.
because i'm to busy playing with myself...
its literally waifu shitters, that game is a c tier at best
If anyone knows a good jrpg that has more adult themes, please recommend.
Some people have never played jrpgs aside from that series. Also
time to play Nier Gestalt
I've been playing God Eater 3 for the last couple of days. Thing is it's a straight up improvement gameplay-wise over the others so it feels easier than them and I'm progressing through fights easily.
>making the same fucking thread everyday
>an user called out your autistic shit yesterday
>now you make the same thread BUT with a new picture
The user is right you are pathetic. Why do you make the same thread every day??
Gacha game is jrpg .
If it was titled "JRPG thread" it would be too much game discussion, having a dumb question in the OP filters out some good posters and keeps the post quality low.
Jrpg games have bad dubs and I can't stand listening to Japanese because it sounds like shit.
The only JRPG I've played this is Octopath, and that game was fantastic in comparison.
I liked customizing my party with subclasses and shit, but in XC2 that seems locked behind a gacha system (gacha in a singleplayer game wtf).
XC2 as a whole feels like a singleplayer MMORPG, like Kingdoms of Amalur.
And the waifus seem shit anyway
Pretty sure most of those games offer a mute option for voices.
So you want me to read the game? I might as well read a good book since jrpg games usually play themselves only requiring the player to select an attack
There's usually more to it than that unless the game is incredibly basic (such as the Neptunia games).
Sounds to me like you're making excuses to not play the genre but to each his own.
Still working on JP Star Ocean 2. Think I'm about to hit disc 2.
They gave a slightly better look at some of the other characters in the OP game.
are these games good? what's the battle system like? (is there a battle system?) They're shop simulators at their core, right?
Been playing Next Order and it's great fun, very relaxing
Any thoughts on a vita vs 3DS, both hacked? The only 3DS games I'd play are the SMT games
>that haircut
JUST
Should I play Vesperia, Automata, or Utaware Zan?
I don't know about the last one, but Vesperia and Automata are pretty good games.
This is the first time I see Gust fuck up a guy's face.
Literally how.
All their men always looked super handsome in one way or another but this guy has a full retard face and hair.
this new art guy has a thicc fetish
Whoa when and where was this released? Ryza threads never posted it.
Well, the hair depends on the character design. The modeling of the face looks a little too flat though, I hope they work on it before release unless this is just a bad angle.
Pic related from Lulua fulfills the same role of half-shirtless buff dude better, I'd say.
A couple hours ago on famitsu's website. They're still not the full magazine scans anyway, just a preview.
This artist's faces in general feel quite plain. Shame because Kishida Mei, Hidari, NoCo and Yuugen had great faces.
>it feels easier
>I'm progressing through fights easily.
>improvement
I'm saving my wagie bucks for KH3 DLC and FF7 Remake, whenever that comes out.
Welcome to the world of toridamono, I hope you enjoy it.
Playing through Atelier Rorona. I don't know when I'm going to be fighting something super dangerous, so I feel like it's probably a good idea to stack Rorona with a bunch of healing items and bombs every time I go gathering.
Dunno if that's how I should be playing or not.
What don't you understand exactly? Like I said the gameplay is a straight up improvement, but the thing is it also makes the game feel easier than the others, even against the ash aragami.
>They casualized it and made it more braindead
>But I like that so it's improved.
As long as you don't spend too much time just making those items, it's fine to be careful. However, bosses and other powerful monsters generally only appear once you receive a quest/optional task about them (and the map screen will tell you which area of a dungeon they're in in advance), so it's difficult to be blindsided.
But who are you quoting?
because jrpgs are literally the single worst genre of games
>tfw barely started Rorona and never remember to put items on her
>just plow through with skills
Living on the edge. But damn is this game kind of annoying. Travelling takes forever and you get dinged for every spot you go. There's also a ton of requests, but I don't know if it'll trigger anything. It makes me just want to do the bare minimum and see what happens by year 3. I know if you do the optional you get vouchers and complete the bingo, but that's about it. There's no point doing more than 9 optional requests unless you want more vouchers, but I don't spend my vouchers because I don't know what I'll need and if or when the trading service will change. Also I didn't realize the game let you turn in things late for requests, it made me wonder if there's a hidden mechanic keeping track of your late requests and if it'll ding you later on. Also the shop has zero rep at the moment, but Rorona talks in the story like I should have done something already. Esty also randomly decided to tell me she wanted to flesh out her sword skills, but then she doesn't even have the option of joining my party, so I don't know what's up with that either yet. That was just a recent even though, so maybe I'll see later on. Then there's when I went to craft something and it just straight up failed. That's news to me. I don't know what caused it outside of pure RNG. I also don't understand what causes a rank to go up from D to C or why they sometimes have more points for traits than other times. Then there's how I never have materials for making my own weapons and items because I use them all up for requests. This game is too stressful. Efficient this, efficiency that. Can't make a single wrong move with knowing the potential consequences. I think I'm just going to bum rush it tomorrow then move on to Totori and Meruru then finally Lulua.
Your brain
Same. At least i got my license now and will be saving up for a car which is nice to look forward to
>Travelling takes forever and you get dinged for every spot you go
Midgame you'll be able to make Traveler's Shoes which reduce the traveling time.
>There's also a ton of requests, but I don't know if it'll trigger anything
The requests given by Esty only matter for increasing Rorona's Popularity, which determines the ending you get.
>There's no point doing more than 9 optional requests unless you want more vouchers, but I don't spend my vouchers because I don't know what I'll need and if or when the trading service will change
In the mid to late game, you can drop tons of vouchers into sets of extra outfits if you don't have anything else to spend them on.
>Also I didn't realize the game let you turn in things late for requests, it made me wonder if there's a hidden mechanic keeping track of your late requests and if it'll ding you later on
You lose popularity/gain less than you would have otherwise.
Esty joins the party a little later.
>I don't know what caused it outside of pure RNG
Look at the item's suggested level when trying to craft it and compare it to your alchemist level. On the left there will be a success percentage. It'll be 100% if your alchemist level at least matches the item's level, otherwise you lose 10% for each level you're below. There are traits that increase the success chance.
>I also don't understand what causes a rank to go up from D to C or why they sometimes have more points for traits than other times
Rank depends on the item's quality level and its traits, there are also traits that increase how many points you can spend for traits.
>Then there's how I never have materials for making my own weapons and items because I use them all up for requests
Give quests that ask for ingots and clothes lower priority than weapon and armor crafting.
>This game is too stressful
It's just basic planning.
I reinstalled DQ11, waiting for the urge to boot it up and give it another shot
>slutty/sexy outfit and yer she looks so pure
How can the west even compete
What about the student life?
Will you stop with the Atelier shilling you autistic fuck
people recommended disagea 5 complete, the gameplay was boring, Labrinth refrain also boring gameplay in that boring dungeon. Altier games are just crap, the alchemy is boring and not fun, makes me feel like I'm back in school. There's some others that I dropped too, now I dont trust what people say about games because its just like they're downright shills.
Those fanboys of disagea are saying the real game starts after the post game on disagea 5, looked it up and its just pure grinding that takes most of your time
>makes me feel like I'm back in school
You did alchemy in school?
The last one was dragon dogma. Then I tried tales of berseria and it was fucking shit, the combat, maps, gameplay, all were a fucking joke.
ok
I will play one
Give me one modern average/good JRPG to waste 40/50 hours in. And dont tell me that last FF full of fags please
no the logic of how to do the alchemy and make the items makes me feels like it.
I dont get it, there's so many people in altier thread that keep saying its good but the game the developer makes are all subpar quality... I play the game and it make me sleep because the game is garbage and bores me, do those shils have some sort of emotional attachment to the makers of the game or something?
Different people liking different things from you isn't shilling.
No
I've been thinking about starting an JRPG for a while now, but this summer is so full of game releases for me that I dont think I can squeeze a JRPG in there somewhere. But eventually I would like to start to play a new series, either Atelier or DQ. Atelier Lulua and DQ11 both seemed pretty interesting.
i dont have the attention span required for 60 hour story games
I'm playing Star Ocean 3 right now. It's pretty fun.
because i'm playing a kmmo instead
>If anyone knows a good jrpg that has more adult themes
Xenosaga
>made by the japanese
>is an rpg
hmmmm, i wonder
I guess Shion counts as 'a conflicted character in a broken world', but it's kinda hard to like her.
I'm playing horizon zero dawn, its nigger rpg but hey its something
I've got a bunch of ps2 jrpg iso's but I don't know what to start and I'm in the mood for one. X-2 (replayed X last year), Wild Arms 5 (I liked 3 back in the day and read this one has better mechanics), Persona 3FES, P4, Disgaea 2, Xenosagas(Played the the first one ages ago) and DQ5 and 8.
What should I play bros?
>hard to like her
That's the point, she's a piece of shit and they intentionally wrote her knowing that men would hate her and only woman would likely understand her.
>knowing that men would hate her and only woman would likely understand her.
Understanding her and hating her aren't mutually exclusive
Ryza is cute! CUTE!
Which Atlier game is the best one?
I'm wanting to get into the series but don't have the time to play through all of them so I'd prefer to just stick to the best ones.
I finished replaying FF7 last week. I'm good for now.
its not even a game its a slot machine
>are these games good?
no.
i just finished a fucking 12 hour session of rorona now wrap your thighs around my head so i can bust a nut then fall asleep
>i just finished a fucking 12 hour session of rorona
Jesus, that's enough to finish a whole year or more.
>i just finished a fucking 12 hour session of rorona
Damn she must be pretty sore right now
tantric
After completing the assignment, what's the best thing to spend spare time on? Finishing up quests to boost popularity? Collecting more materials for later? This month's assignment ended up being pretty easy, and now I've got 25 days left to fuck around.
are these the thighs that saved atelier?
I kinda want Omega Labyrinth. Is it worth it?
it's the worst Xeno game, only Switchbabbies and waifufags like it
Just started Dragon Quest V. Pretty alright so far.
We need more main characters like Papa Nier in JRPGs.
Currently playing Lulua and goddamn do I wish I could play Rorona for the first time again.
DQV
FF9 & FFXII on Switch. They're magical. Especially mobile XII. Maybe Ni no Kuni II afterwards?
Complete the last 2 optional requests. Spend time making better bombs/potions and/or the ingot/cloth materials for whoever replicates it in that game, which will also boost your Alchemy level. Go gather shit or explore areas you haven't been yet (and gather shit).
Xenosaga 2 and Xenoblade 1 are much worse than Xenoblade 2.
It's almost astonishing that Xenosaga 3 is so good given how bad the games that came immediately before and immediately after it were.
Not really. I'm the last person to fall for the OLD GOOD NEW BAD meme but the older games on PS2 were miles ahead of the later ones in terms of gameplay. The new ones are literally just playing a singleplayer MMO as a crafter. The combat is just extremely basic turn based where the only twist is the items you use are usually crafted.
filthy nigger
General tip: some gathering areas have materials that you can only start finding by going to them at least once with Iksel in your party. You'll know which ones because on the map screen, Iksel will have a speech bubble on every screen of that map.
Cope
Have sex
make me
*sniff*
I didnt see anything about the story that I would consider hilariously bad. Gameplau takes some time to open up though.
Of course it was my favorite switch game from 2017 so I may be a bit baised.
I need to work on my urges first
I can barely look at womens skin anymore, i need to jack off way too often
my dick hurts
because it would be impossible to not masturbate so much that the actual energy and appeal of playing would not also shoot out the tip of my dick
>Getting older, so now I want to play as an older male character
Play SaGa games then, plenty of older male or female MCs you can choose, or just older party members in general.
Playing labrynth of refrain
I badly want to stick my dick in the hole Lillie came out of
Which jrpg that has world building as good as trails series? Or at least has good random NPC like them.
>world building
Trails actually takes inspiration from these two series for worldbuilding
Suikoden (actual consistent world with multiple countries and reoccuring characters across games like Trails. Not nearly as in depth as Trails but it's the closest thing)
Xeno games (the world changes from subseries but there's tons of hidden lore and plot threads that carry over. Some are far more in-depth with world building than Trails but have less world building because it's contained to a single game or trilogy)
>Or at least has good random NPC
None, Trails is unmatched in that regard.
