The beast wars was barely even a "war" it was more an incursion with the same couple of Transformers.

I understand they did it to make the characters better/CGI restrictions at the time but both sides really needed more people

Beast Wars was fun, but it was a really small series of battles, constantly being limited to non-desicive encounters due to the planetary energon field.

As much as I love these games and the fact I know its a new countunity I just never really liked the inclusion of both the Dinobots and Aerialbots

Dinobots being changed to shockwaves experiments due to the fact he beat them in the past was kinda meh I always loved them being wheeljacks fuck ups and the Aerialboys existing in the great war is odd the Autobots biggest disadvantage was because they had no fliers till they got to earth on top of that the Aerialbots themselves were combiners.

Fun fact: the autobot transport was supposed to be Broadside. There is concept art of alot of characters who didn’t make the cut

There were quite a few Beast Wars toys that never made it into the show due to the show's budget forcing them to keep a core cast. There's still plenty of characters to work with but then you'll have cases of "literally who?" everywhere.

Wasn't Prime set in the same universe as War and Fall of Cybertron ... or at least that's what their wiki says. I remember being disheartened that Prime got a legit sequel series only for it to be targeted at toddlers and the crew go from fighting Unicron and having a reformed Megs to Bumblebee leading a battle against Cybertronian furries.

I actually missed Energon while it was being aired in the US, holy shit the animation is even bigger garbage than I remember.

Nah they considered it a success. Especially for a movie on Bumblebee and a TF movie not called Transformers.

Supposedly the next movie is a "buddy-cop" style movie about Optimus and Bumblebee.

I feel like the first Transformers Movie game was the peak of all transformers vidya for me. Nothing else hits the spot that this game did, and it's a shame that we don't have more open world transformers games.
