Game makes fun of you for being bad
Damn, I wish I enjoyed Shoot 'em ups. I bought all of these for 100% OJ characters, and can barely get to the second level of Suguri.
You can try Acceleration first to get the hang of things, since it's way easier. Mainly because the screen scrolls to give you more space to fly around in, and the AI is pants on head retarded.
I'm still trying to do Mira on hard mode. It's hard, and that smug tranny isn't making it any easier.
Wait, isn't AoS the pseudo-fighting game? Will that help me with the original?
You'll get used to basic dashing and attacking mechanics while fighting only a single opponent in a less hectic battlefield where you don't have to play a stage before getting to the boss. Some elements don't crossover though, like manual shielding and Special as an attack modifier rather than a third weapon button. Overall I just like AoS because it's fun it's own right.
Is AoS2 still dead
Sort of. I guess people still play it in the discord, and they hold regular tournaments. There's no presence of it in the Yea Forums groups anymore, unfortunately. I think the main issue is just that the skill gap is too high for new players to jump into it.
Dang, I might be too dumb for that even. Between this and Touhou, why do all the fine babes have to be trapped in this genre?
That's why 100% exists. You can enjoy the OJs without having to actually get gud at any of their games. Alternatively you could suicide rush the levels until you unlock Accelerator and Zapper.
Are Suguri and Sora bad characters in that game? I like them but they seem so basic compared to other characters, not mentioning that they are almost clones of each other
There's probably a reason I have 100 hours in 100%, and 2 in any given OJ game.
Suguri and Sora are both really great. Suguri is deadly at mid-range thanks to her sword arrows, and if she ever gets level 3 hyper it's gg.
Sora is probably the best character in the game. She can fire a free fully charged beam shot after connecting with a melee lunge, which she can then dash cancel out of and do it again as long as she still has ammo. This takes off almost two whole life bars on an enemy with high heat in only a single combo. Don't underestimate those laser rifles either.
Yeah, that's my problem. Hard to learn anything as a new player when the only people playing have been playing it since it came out originally.
It's too bad, since it's a really fun game if you can find anyone at the same skill level as you to play with. I wish there was some way to drag new players into the game, like some sort of newbie night event.
Why is SUGURI lore so interesting despite there not being so much? I wish we knew more about the war and the ship colony that escaped Earth only to not realize they went back thousands of years later.
Goddamn that character looks so fuckable. I want to mind break him and make him mine.
>him
Good luck, we're behind 4 beyblades
What's weirder is that they supposedly had a perfect record of Earth's history on board as well. Even down to complete brain scans of various people, judging by how Sumika was able to create clones of the ancient soldiers. Yet they still don't understand why there was a war.
This year lads. I can feel it!
Level editor will come out after Saki.swf
But Saki.swf has been out for like almost a year now
I said after, but I didn't say soon after.
2019... I am forgotten...
Don't worry, they'll need to start reaching for 100% DLC characters soon.
>more 100% DLC
I just want a new Orange_Juice game
All you gotta do is make a modded level in Suguri which has no enemies and a space background. Bam, Suguri 3.
Nintendo probably will in the end. I've accepted that.
Nintendo is going to make Suguri 3?
