This boss is literally impossible

Tell me why the fuck my posture gets broken so fuckibg easily? Even if I deflect most attacks my fucking posture goes down because Fromsoftware had the brilliant ideas to implement a system that goes totally against you, why the fuck do I still lose posture when I deflect an attack? It should it be the opposite, and tell me why the fuck do I still have to pass through the genichiro fight??? With fucking 10 healings? Why only 10 to kill a 4 boss phase fight? It should be at least 15.
FUCK THIS UNFAIR GAME PIECE OF SHIT

Dude it's June, no one plays this shit anymore, move on

You are a ninja trying to fight a mystical sword master.

Hesitation is defeat. But in all seriousness user stay on his ass. If you got a decent number of prayer bead upgrades your posture should be ok, remember that your posture bar fills faster if you are at low health so try to stay topped off as much as you can. His combos are fairly easy to deflect and get a couple of slashes in if possible. Double Ichimonji is a very useful technique.

*psst* hey nigger

I swear, if the game had literally any reason to explore and a chalice dungeon 2.0 it could've lasted more than a week.

and to think people actually defended the lack of content in this game

Be more aggressive. Dont deflect shit you can just side step .

Did you know even if your posture bar is maxed out, you can never be posture broken if you perfect parry? The only time it's possible for your posture to be broken is if you fail to get a perfect parry.

>10 healings
I did it with 9. I dont know how you're struggling with genchiro, I can breeze through him and Ishin's 1st phase with no damage. Isshin 2nd phase is the most dangerous. 3rd is same but with lightening which means more free hits. Learn to deflect, you can pretty much deflect anything in the fight, even the unblockables.

SEETHING

Just hold the deflect button so your posture recovers faster, nerd

You can let your posture get broken and not get punished if you reach the end of an attack string and can ID that it's over.

Or just run away like a bitch, and he'll jump at you, dodge&punish.

Seething? Over what, the fact that this game's only worth a single playthrough?

>Use candy/spiritfalls to boost your posture or defense
>Only focus on damaging his life bar at first
>As his life gets down a little bit, focus on his posture
>Take regular breaks to regain your posture. He's slow and will never catch up to you if you run away to rest every once in a while
>When his lifebar is about halfway gone, become extremely aggressive
>Only give him opportunities to regain posture if you need to heal or rest
>Memorize his moves
>Figure out a way to counter every move so that you always have the upper hand
>Deflect his lightning attacks

I suppose you could also grind for prayer beads and attack power. He's not impossible, but his fight is pretty frustrating. Especially the first time. Don't give up after coming this far.

Seething soulsbaby

Once you get the timing down on his combos the fight is ezpz. His 3rd phase is the easiest due to lightning reversal damaging him/stunning him and allowing you a couple extra hits. His 2nd phase is probably the hardest because he pulls out the spear which has range on you and the pistol which he loves to use to interrupt your healing. Stay aggressive.

git gud scrub, cry moar

>literally impossible
>but I beat it
not literally impossible
this as well

It's worth at least two, as both the regular last boss and the asura last boss are worth experiencing.

DSP beat him in 3 tries, Afrosenju beat him in 2 tries. The key to this fight is to be really bad at the game, Isshin's AI wouldn't know how to react.

you weren't playing aggressive so you lose faggot. the posture system is suppose to punish you for blocking and parrying too much

it's to balance the game out
if you weren't a shitter, you'd realize that every phase can be beaten in less than a minute

people defended the lack of content? damn thats sad. i loved the game, beat it twice in a week, no reason to touch it again

Sounds like someone hesitated.
Seriously though this fight is fun as fuck you dumb little crybaby. You shouldn't be losing any healing to Genichiro because at this point you should be doing that fight nearly perfectly. 10 gourds is more than enough, I'd imagine most people didn't have max gourds going onto the fight. I only had eight.

They absolutely did. I vividly remember people on this very same board telling me the lack of multiplayer and character customization allowed for a better single player experience, and that the game wouldn't suffer because of those decisions in the long run.

how do i get past Owl? I don't want to cheese but his moves are unpredictable

deflect, stay aggressive, sidestep the anti-healing balloon, double ichimonji, when he does his leaping overhead attack sidestep and whack him.

never cared for multiplayer personally, but even without it, felt like DS3 and BB had more content. Played those games for a lot longer than sekiro.

bait out his overslam attack, dodge and hit 2-3 times. dodge and hit him when he throws some green shit. dodge towards him when he jumps and throws shuriken for 2-3 hits. felt like this fight discouraged deflecting and encouraging dodging

>Stop smashing the deflect button
>Be as aggressive as possible
>Pretend his healthbar doesn't exist and focus on breaking posture
I think both Owl's are the only human enemies that didn't work on in my experience. They disengage quick and often so I usually stuck to parrying their shit and baiting out attacks where I can actually damage them.

I usually use double ichimonji for genichiro and isshins first phase. you can kill isshin pretty quickly in his first phase just on posture.

then i switch to whirlwind and use it to punish him after the overhead slam and some other moves. Get his health down some then build posture damage. The umbrella can be handy, you can use it for a deflect and directed force when he does his overhead attacks and you can use it for his wide-area sweeping attack. firecrackers work too to stun him on that. fire + the perk that sets your blade alight is also pretty good if you wait for a good window and can do a lot of damage to his posture and vitality.

for his first phase, just get in the flow of baiting, attacking and deflecting. you can put a fair amount of pressure on him as long as you anticipate the counter attacks and deflect them.

>always run out of gourds before I even fight this guy
>he has three healthbars
There is no hope

You mean you let Genichiro push your shit in?

thats pathetic user, the entire game has taught you to absolutely trample genichiro at this fight. you should be beating him while taking absolutely no damage.

Op doesnt know how to play the game

Is this a fucking meme?
Nothing about this fight was very hard.
At this point you will kill Genichiro without taking any damage.
I only healed 6 times during the whole fight and it involved being hit by avoidable shit here and there
