I play valor HBG, LBG, LS so i just cheese it. Also you can cheese it with valor style for any weapons including valor greatsword. Only hellgalive 1 hit kill on the rank X mission is hard. All the other is a snoozefest. Narga and mitzusune are another good monsters.

I would love if Tigrex had a mechanic that punished you for healing during certain times. Like he does a super roar. This would actually encourage use of rarely used sets, like Nergigante or Vaal.

Seregios and Gore have decent chances just because they are fan-favorite monsters and it looks like the entirety of Iceborne's roster panders to that. I don't, really. I like having a nice standard, reliable roll more than anything aerial style offers.

Aggro control is extremely optional and 99% accidental on non-premade parties. This does not make the fight "not play anything" like the rest. In fact there's an aggro mantle in the game which is the same mechanic which you can apply to any monster and no one uses it for a reason: Pretty irrelevant.
Not to mention the fight gets arguably harder if he aggros someone. If anything it's just a different trigger for his rage mode.

AoE attacks have existed for a long ass time, so have different mechanics (like Gore's debuff which forces you to be aggressive or cure it). I don't see why you'd bitch about his comets, you'd rather not have any new interesting mechanics I guess. It's an attack which you must dodge, then protect (otherwise he'll eventually destroy the comets) and then you must hide behind or have good timing with your jump. Why is this a bad thing again? Should Kirin not use weird thunder attacks either? Should elder dragon Auras not exist either? Should Qurupeco not call in a Deviljho either? Should Chameleos not turn invisible either? You just want 100% vanilla fights forever and ever I see. And no introduction of new attacks whatsoever.

The last thing is the DPS check, which I can argue already exists with Gore's status, except taken to a higher level. This is the only thing that actually makes the fight different from others. But I forgot you just want vanilla "monsters turn twice then charge at you, followed by a 180º tail swipe" attacks.

Lunastra's difficult because of one annoying attack, Jho's a jhoke compared to older versions, and Behemoth/Leshen are only difficult because people are allergic to teamwork for some reason
Leshen would probably be one of my favorite monsters if they dropped the annoying bird damage and sped him up a little bit

Apparently the bug skeletons are amongst the most complicated to code, so from the beginning of development they weren’t intending on having bugs because of how long it would take to get the skeletons working correctly. There’s a good chance we’ll get them for MH6 or whatever the next game is.

What does this final fantasy monster do?

GE3 should probably go back to taking cues from monster hunter though.. It's good that they decided to up the pace and mobility to give the series more of its own identity, but the combat is still shallow because burst arts are both spammy and way better than your regular movest, and the game is overall too easy because the monsters have so little health and are so quick to get downed from either breaking parts or hitting weak points. Just balancing those two things would make for a significantly better game.

And yet I still had more fun with it than World.

He’s actually incredibly underdesigned for a Frontier monster surprisingly. And he hunts Dromes to suck their blood with his tongue, and the element of his attacks change depending on what Drome he succed most recently.

I like how New World raptor bird wyverns don’t have packs but are solitary while the local fanged wyverns are the pack hunters. Sets them apart from the Dromes and Ggis who can feel pretty samey at times.

The final boss in each game is almost always kept secret all the way until release. I doubt we’ll get returning final bosses like Nakarkos, Ahtal-Ka, Gogmazios or Dire Miralis back since monsters like those are super gimmicky and rely heavily on their custom maps to function. The only final bosses off the top of my head that have been recurring monsters in later games are the Fatty trio and Alatreon, since they aren’t fuckhuge and their gimmicks aren’t environment based.

Technically a lot of monsters could easily return if confined to boss arenas same way MHGU did it.

He might come back, you never know. He’s not exactly hard to implement. I doubt we’ll be seeing him again until the next full new game, but he’s not off the cards permanently.

Not known yet. They tease a returning monster at the end of each trailer and reveal it in the next. The reveal trailer teased Nargacuga who was shown of in the second trailer, the second trailer teased Tigrex who was shown off in the third trailer and the third trailer teased Glavenus. So we can assume that E3 will show us Glavenus properly as well as a bunch of new shit, and then tease another popular old monster at the end.

Well, I can see an icy species of Mohran swimming in the deep snow, like the old ones were in the desert sand. Although it's a really, really boring, old school, "giant monster" fight, that plays by a fixed script every time. It's no fun to go back to after much, much better giant monster fights like Gog, mantis thing and Xeno. But then again, they did include Zorah in World, so everything is possible.

Frontier already has an AoT crossover, so it’s not unprecedented.

If Iceborne starts like the previous expansions we will fight some new monsters in high rank in the old areas then go to the G rank, which might explain why the hunter in the pic is wearing the high rank narga armor and a shitty iron weapon with narga feather.
