is this the best engine right now? shits tight

No, DMC5 is floaty shit because of it.

Attached: dmcstats.png (546x279, 111K)

yes it owns.

i want remake 3, dino crisis and the next dead rising to all use this engine tbqh

>doesn't show his hours for 5 because it would reveal he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about

Attached: 1428631091443.png (543x657, 31K)

I mean you don't really need to be good at the game to see it's a little bit more "floaty". Jump Cancelling is way easier, and if you Stinger jump Dante has absolutely no sense of velocity. It's like at the start of the "jumping" part a gust of wind is holding him back instead of Dante carrying the momentum of the Stringer, something that has been in the series since the first game.

Its pretty slick. Wish Konami wasnt retarded so we got more games on the Fox Engine, it was tight as fuck.

Nah, Death Stranding looks way better

>mfw Dead Rising 1 remake with double the content on RE Engine

Jump cancelling being easier isn't a bad thing. I got over 100 hours out of DMC5 and got all S ranks. It's a finished game and they did a great job.

Fuck no. It has shit textures and a bunch of audio sync issues. Unreal Engine is unironically better, and so it MT Frameworks.

>next dead rising
please this holy shit

>not source
Ngmi

>360 and ps3 MT framework
>ps4 and xbone RE engine
What's their secret bros?

Décima, unreal, RE, or rage engine probably

Attached: 1559590505502.jpg (474x350, 21K)

DR doesn't need a remake you retard

Kojimbo says decima engine is way better than his own engine.

MT Framework was the shit. Marvel 3 was so beautiful.

Attached: mahvel.jpg (2560x1440, 766K)

When has that ever stopped anyone

yes it does
dead rising 1 looks, plays, and runs like shit

what happened with unreal engine?

Nothing

>stutter up my pc senpai

No thanks.

We don't need a remake or a reboot of Dead Rising.
All we need is a game that straight up says "Everything in 3 and 4 was a bunch of horseshit. Here's what actually happened after 2."
Call it Dead Rising: For The Record.

>nvidia user
Kek.

>I have shit pc why games dont run good on it???

is RE Engine even capable of cel shading?

MT Framework is so fucking good that your analogy doesn't work. They never stopped using MT Framework.
Just last year we had two more games launch with it: Monster Hunter World and Mega Man 11.

All engines are converging to be pretty samey, same PBR rendering. Only so many ways to do certain effects.

I still think MT framework and serious engine 4 is better, but the RE engine is really good too.

I have a nvidia card and the games I've played on REngine doesn't stutter.

actually no it sucks it can not do non realistic graphics meaning it can not do vietiful joe, okami or any other games I enjoy besides DMC

>from MT Engine to the FUCKING STATE of RE Engine
>shitty fucking AA

Congratulations so did I, I still think the game is a bit more "floaty". The stinger jumping shit pisses me off because that was one of my low key favorite things to do with it.

It's shit.

Why are they still use unreal engine 4?

Of course. It's a game engine. They could modify it to make a 2D Mega Man game if they wanted. People need to get this idea out of their head that devs can somehow be limited like that by engines they develop themselves.

Characters look like they're made of dough in re engine.

I still like MT Framework
Panta Rhei seems vaporware sadly

He only says that because of the fancy combat system and the particle effects. Fox Engine was an optimisation God. It ran on fucking everything.

>rage engine
>Isn't the engine that the game RAGE used
This triggers my autism
On that note Id Tech 5 was a bit of a mess but IT6 is so much of a leap forward its incredible

>1200+ hours in dmc4

Attached: 1517924431148.gif (500x281, 221K)

it's really good

Attached: RE Engine model.webm (1920x1080, 3M)

I've never seen a single videogame where the characters don't look like they're made out of some kind of dough or plastic compared to actual people in real life

Urho3D is the only engine worth its salt
Godot is a piece of shit, glorified game maker

Attached: 1515317684191.gif (200x200, 3.89M)

>texture pops in 10 seconds after you start looking at a wall
The games are good, and maybe it's easy to work with, but it's definitely not amazing.

What the fuck is this effect, where the bushes are all glowing? How do I make it go away?

Attached: 20190525155021_1.jpg (1920x1023, 330K)

China owns it now, as in the Chinese government.

I never see that in RE2, the game is a bit inefficient with its loading in fact. Entire rooms up the stairs + behind closed doors will load up seemingly 100%, with the zombies shuffling around inside them and all. Rooms in the doors behind those rooms wont be loaded though

Nah. They've done a lot to improve the depiction of humans and environments, but there's a lot of issues with anti-aliasing, shadows, and hair that can end up taking away those advantages. There's also a common issue with cutscenes getting massively desynced if the game stutters for any reason.

The real question is what's actually the best engine right now. UE4 is bloated as fuck, Unity has shit licenses and rendering problems, FOX Engine flops a lot with lighting and AA, Godot lacks occlusion culling, Frostbite shoots itself in any non-Battlefield/front game, learning Cry Engine and Source is like trying to decipher rotting ancient gaelic tomes, id Tech suffers from glossy models and shitty post-processing, RAGE has been stripped of its unique features, and LithTech has been outdated for years. Feels like any pick is a hobson's choice.

How good is that Fox Engine?

Naughty Dog's TLOU2 engine is the best

It's really bad in RE7. The game is really good, but the texture pop in is hilarious sometimes. You'll be sitting there after an already ridiculous load from the menu to in-game, and the decoration on the wall is like an N64 game for 10 whole seconds.

Nah, their engine has a lot of the same issues as RE Engine.

Marvel 3 didn't fucking look like that on PS3/360, 720p with no AA

A single-platform engine can't be the best engine.

The UI is dogshit and the lighting is atrocious, but its nothing that small update wouldn't fix. Game runs flawlessly and has great textures on PC so I dunno why you'd want a remake for it.

UE4 if you know anything about production pipelines

t. chinkslave

fooled by those scripted animations huh?

T-THEY'RE NOT SCRIPTED!!!

Attached: 1555524623045.png (310x456, 329K)

like what

Nah, it is pretty nice, but it's reliance on TAA makes the textures muddy, and if you remove it, it looks kind of shit.

!!FUN FACT!!
The RE Engine is not named after the Resident Evil game series.
It is, in fact an abbreviation of Reach for the Moon Engine.
I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A SWELL DAY :D

Attached: Cute_Doggo_Is_Helped_By_Friendly_Humans.webm (640x360, 2.81M)

RE Engine isn't their only engine. Mega Man 11 exists and despite the art style itself being just a tad off it pulled off stylized graphics well. MH World also still runs on MT.

There is literally nothing that says RE Engine cannot do non-realistic graphics. Just because they haven't used it for that yet doesn't mean they can't. I mean they write it themselves

:3

>Marvel 3 was so beautiful
No it wasn't, what the fuck

t. The Gaming Brit

>talks about RE engine
>Retards will come in complain about the faces, 3d models and shit
>which aren't actually about the game engine at all

You know it to be true, Yea Forums. We've seen this episode before
