As I said, sadly I don't remember. I think it was the bottom left face, the one with the roundest eyes. Big simple pupils with slight cat eyes (to get the big oval look).
I'll remember the settings when I get back to the creator, the main issue will be recreating the fringe. It's a lot of faff to make it match the rest of the hair, not look like a hair tumor, and not clip through the character's face. And the accessories don't have coordinates or sliders so there's no reference. I hope they let you access created characters from the beta in the full game.

I thought it was fine. Lacked enemy variation, but it was also a very small portion of the game and still didn't suffer from that as much as Nioh. Also, the gameplay felt pretty smooth. Never felt like it was either playing itself or I just didn't have a chance. The character creator is actually really fucking good. Basically just stole it straight from soulcalibur 6 then made it better. Blood Codes are a super cool idea, but I worry that as you play the game, some are obviously top tier or some are obviously trash. For example, I saw no reason not to use the one that buffed the already very strong parries and dodges. Bayonets are busted with that shit. 3 hit combo backsteps, then a backdash and you're 10 miles away. I enjoyed that quite a bit, since it generally fit my play style. Blood Codes are still conceptually cool either way. The environments looked pretty great, and the hair/cloth physics wdre satisfying to see. The performance was ass though. Clearly capped at 60 fps, it seemed to vary usually between 20-40, which got very jarring, especially when it jumped to 60. I'll be playing on PC so I don't really give a fuck, but still worth noting. Overall, for what it was, I really enjoyed myself and it's a day one buy easily.

I think that had to do where you were standing, my character clipped into half the ground before when that was happening, also had a follower clip into the ground by going down a ladder.

like a janky bloodbore god eater cross, its honestly fine but could use a bit of polish on like hitboxes and the sound of weapons. back stabs are weird to activate and the gifts (magic system) is like blood borne where it uses ichor (bullets like bloodbore) that you get back by just attacking regular. So your gameplan is to use your magic and then go hit and dodge for a bit then repeat

Well, you aren't going to like Bloodborne.
Bloodborne is way faster (there are no "fat" or "medium" rolls; instead your character dodges or dashes to the sides a la Metal Gear Rising) but the combat is largely the same. You have a light attack, a strong attack, can transform the weapon into another one with a different moveset but still based on light and strong attacks, the gun is pretty much a parry tool that can be used from a distance and so on. No combos or postures.

Well that's unfortunate, and I assume Code Vein is more of the same. Actually I should just watch some gameplay.

Code Vein is as slow as Dark Souls 1.
In my opinion they go in order of fluidity from most to least:
Nioh - Sekiro - Bloodborne - Dark Souls 3 - Dark Souls 1 - Code Vein - Dark Souls 2

And even then Nioh is slow and cumbersome compared to something like Devil May Cry or God Hand. I don't recommend Soulslikes to action game fans.

I think it is. It had some framerate drops but those will be easily solved by the PC release.

In one corner of the map there was a chest that if you got near you would be "invaded" by what appeared to be infinite spawning enemies (you killed them and more spawned right away) was that actually infinite or what was going on there?

I wouldn't even say I'm an action game fan necessarily, and I understand Souls is not in the same Vein as DMC and such. I thought I'd like Souls and ended up disliking it.

On the title screen it was ver 0.9.8something they are pretty much done with it and I can assume the only thing they were interested in feedback with the beta was bugs.

You sound like someone who, while doesn't expect certain games in the same vein as others, likes to have responsive movement and options while fighting.
The Soulsborne games and their imitators are based on a Japanese developer's desire to make their own version of Morrowind with some Zelda sprinkled on it. That's why they're so limited when it comes to combat, being in a way comparable to games like Final Fight where you just have punch, a jump, maybe a kick and a "press both buttons to do a devastating special attack that drains some of your health".

Did anyone else have a hell of a time trying to open the emote menu when joining others?
It was fine when hosting or by myself, the only explanation I can think for it is they had some sort of check to the host for opening the fucking emote menu but I refuse to believe they could be that dumb, but at the same time a lot of shit seemed to run off the host's end.

The input for the gesture menu has to be double tapped REALLY fast. I changed it in the control options from L3 to the touchpad since it didn't seem to have any important purpose and it was still a bit unreliable.

Why'd they go for a double input anyway? Were they worried people might accidentally open the gesture menu while mashing? Who the hell mashes the sticks hard enough to hit L3/R3?

I liked how the melee system utilized Dodge and Sprint on different keys so you can hold the sprint button to activate a different moveset in your weapons and even during a combo.
The magic system is great but fairly strong imo, the veils are stylish and well implemented, but if they want to keep Ivy veils ranged drain they need to either nerf the range or damage or cause it to pull more enemies at once.
Bayonets need a buff, but I still loved them.
I also enjoyed using quicksteps again, man I missed those from bloodborne.
Using these quicksteps I noticed they're better than BB quicksteps which I enjoyed because your weapon pool while on quicksteps is pretty bad.
