Limited to sending only one item/stack in the mail per letter. Not being able to auto-dismount. Not seeing available quests " ! " on the mini-map. Not being able to mark things on the mini-map. Only having one mail box per city. No guild banks. A chance to fail at gathering. Terrible itemization. Druids incapable of rezzing players other then with a 20 minute cooldown. Paladin buffs being individual and lasting 5 minutes. Lay on Hands taking 100% of your current mana and having a 1 hour cooldown. Not being able to see what you healed for. Not being able to see enemy buffs. Not being able to see a targets HP or HP% (Regardless of enemy or friendly) Raid-wide buffs being limited only to one group. Massive PvP imbalances (Do you think a frost Mage or holy Paladin is bad now? Try a Vanilla Shaman or Rogue). Warlocks needing to resummon their minion (Using a Soul Shard) every time they rezzed in a BG. Warlocks using one shard for each player they summoned. Warlocks only being able to create Health Stones individually. Water dismounted you. Buffing low level players required you to choose a rank they could use, rather then picking it automatically. Had to manually type in item names on the AH to search. Could only put one item/stack on the auction house at a time. Completely worthless specs and talents (Protection Paladin, Balance Druid, Etc.) Can't see how much something vendors for until that point. Can't inspect other players talents. The Stranglethorn Vale bridges dismounting you, as well as the Booty Bay docks. The map being within the quests/UI/social/etc. rather then being next to the mini-map. Hunter feign death showing the hunter as a corpse to group players. Stupid group quests in places very few people level.''
Just imagine for a moment the ever increasing pure terror retailbabies feel as we get closer and closer

I, for one, am ready to ho home bros

If Classic is successfull enough that they pull the plug on retail and further BfAing the game, I'm all for it, yet the biggest concern I have is that they'll be using this influx of sub money to further fucking things up.
Vanilla was pure kino, but it definitely is an acquired taste
Juan Perez
yes. dabble around in lights hope (popular private server) to get a feel for what classic will be like. then just imagine that experience with sub 99ms ping and less chinese spammers.

None of that is necessary for a good MMO. Don't you get it?
Ryan Morales
I'm someone who only played WoW during Legion. I just never really got around to it. I like the game just fine now, but I mostly just do leveling for the sake of time killing so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I honestly find the relationship most people have this game to be very bizarre. There seems to be a constant need to justify that the game was absolutely garbage prior to it's current state - but also the game sucks now.
I honestly don't get /why/ people like this even play MMOs. You all honestly only seem like you still play this game because it's the only thing you've ever played and actually thinking about why the fuck you're still here causes so much dissonance in your mind that you need to shut down anyone who might enjoy the game in a different state.
Do you guys just play MMOs to brutally and efficiently consume new content that you don't even really like? Why the hell are you still playing?
>Limited to sending only one item/stack in the mail per letter. >Not being able to auto-dismount. >Not seeing available quests " ! " on the mini-map. >Not being able to mark things on the mini-map. There's addons for that and likely for other things you mentioned also.
Carter Miller
I don't see why people play fighting games or like scat play but here we are
Aaron Brooks
People play MMORPG games to have social experiences that aren't found in other genres. Current MMORPG are hardly multiplayer games anymore. That is why everyone is hyped for Classic because it's design philosophy is from Everquest and other old school MMORPGs that were designed around making friends and enemies.

I JUST WANT TO FOLLOW THE ARROW ON THE MINIMAP AND CLICK ON STUFF! I HATE THINKING!

>Limited to sending only one item/stack in the mail per letter. Even in classic it was 12 per letter though. >Not being able to auto-dismount. Dispel it. Hell, make a macro for using your mount that dispels your mount if you press it while mounted. >Not seeing available quests " ! " on the mini-map. Explore >Not being able to mark things on the mini-map. Tomtom existed in classic. Get an addon. >Only having one mail box per city. False, Stormwind and Ironforge each had three. Can't say for the other cities. >No guild banks. That's a problem. I'll give you that much. >A chance to fail at gathering. And no penalty to retry. >Terrible itemization. It's good enough. >Druids incapable of rezzing players other then with a 20 minute cooldown. Release spirit and run back >Paladin buffs being individual and lasting 5 minutes Addons to show who needs buffing makes this a lot easier. >Lay on Hands taking 100% of your current mana and having a 1 hour cooldown. So? >Not being able to see what you healed for. Bullshit, the combat log clearly shows this. >Not being able to see enemy buffs. That was intentional. It's also what Detect magic was for. >Not being able to see a targets HP or HP% I was SURE you could see enemy health ... this wasn't in game? Huh. I'm interested in the challenge! >Raid-wide buffs being limited only to one group. And yet you call them "Raid-wide" for some reason. They are group buffs. >Massive PvP imbalances So? >Warlocks needing to resummon their minion (Using a Soul Shard) every time they rezzed in a BG. Yeah, that's a pain in the ass. At least the imp is good. >Warlocks using one shard for each player they summoned. Use a flight path and run over >Warlocks only being able to create Health Stones individually. True, that's a pain in the ass. People hardly ever use them anyway though so no big loss. >Water dismounted you. So? >Buffing low level players required you to choose a rank they could use Then choose it.

Henry Williams
>I hate thinking!
MMOs are perfect for you losers
Brayden Brown
No, I get that. I don't understand why people WOULDNT like playing Classic because of that. I'm actually really excited to play an MMO that actually seems to require regular interaction between it's players.
Daniel Hill
YEAH BUT ITS ONLY 60 LEVELS. I WON'T BE TRULY SATISFIED UNLESS I CAN FOLLOW THAT ARROW AND CLICK ON STUFF FOR AT LEAST 120 LEVELS. PLUS THE ENEMIES CAN KILL YOU SO ITS DUMB.
Aaron Hughes
>Had to manually type in item names on the AH to search. Since when was this ever NOT a thing? Does WoW have ESP now or something and let you pick an item without typing? >Could only put one item/stack on the auction house at a time. Addons would shove them on the AH for you in batches, even in classic. >Completely worthless specs and talents Then don't pick them. >Can't see how much something vendors for until that point. ADDONS. >Can't inspect other players talents. The ones that aren't obvious are also not as valuable. >The Stranglethorn Vale bridges dismounting you, as well as the Booty Bay docks. You forgot to mention Blackrock Mountain. And yes, it added travel time. But what do you want, a teleport to the dungeon? L o l >The map being within the quests/UI/social/etc. rather then being next to the mini-map. Press M >Hunter feign death showing the hunter as a corpse to group players Also a non issue. >Stupid group quests in places very few people level. Counteracted by group places in places where lots of people level, encouraging grouping.
Okay, let's see which ones were more of an issue than scratching your nose:
>No Guild banks >Healthstones individual >Warlocks resummoning pets in a BG Guild banks I agree are a problem. As for the rest, I guess you'll just have to learn to BG with imps and buy health potions.
Ayden Ross
>I'm actually really excited to play an MMO that actually seems to require regular interaction between it's players But you can get to max level without ever having to interact with anyone at all if you're familiar enough with the game.
> Addons So you DON'T want Classic? > Game has limitations > A-addons will fix it! You claim you want classic but you want to take away the limitations with addons. Heh. Go play BfA.
Blake Jones

>So you DON'T want Classic? Are you implying that add-ons were not used in Classic? Because it sounds like you're implying that add-ons were not used in Classic.
Julian Price
Addons were in classic ya mongoloid. Gatherer was even set up to share information to other people via Thottbot. You remember Thottbot? Of course you don't remember thottbot.
