I wouldn't say it's easy to make a steady income on the content. Outside of Patreon Jim isn't making any money on his content, he doesn't monetize any of his videos. He was the guy that came up with the idea of the "Content ID deadlock", in the past companies would Content ID his channel to get monetization on their end, so Jim responded to this by using copyrighted footage and images from many companies to prevent anybody from making money from his videos. (If more than one company claims a video, then nobody can monetize it.).

Regularly updated games have been happening for almost two decades now. At least, from my experience. Games like RuneScape came out in 2001 and has had biweekly/monthly updates up until now.

Anthem was a bit of a dumpster fire, I would say that only two videos would have been necessary, one for how shit and unfinished the game was on launch, and another on the story that came out on how mismanaged the game was.

The only game I think would be justified in having a fuck ton of videos on it would be Fallout 76, it was constant fuck up after fuck up on Bethesda's part and incompetence on this level from a AAA developer hasn't really been seen before. It had everything, false advertising, shitty unfinished product, misleading promotional products (the rum coming in a flimsy plastic shell), the unintentional doxxing from their own customer support and mass banning of innocent players.
