What exactly is it about the Sonic games that attracts the autists so bad?
What exactly is it about the Sonic games that attracts the autists so bad?
safe furry character designs
He's a super hero. Autists love super heroes. Also much like flying going fast is an experience most would want.
Knowing that 95% of Sonic fans are literally autistic faggots, there really is no reason to worry about it. They aren't breeding, so, whatever.
It doesn't; Sonic is just a very popular franchise.
The more popular something is among normies, the more autists are gonna be fans of it, because they're more likely to be exposed to it.
Pokemon has pretty much the same ratio of normies to autists in its fanbase.
If you arent on the spectrum you dont belong on Yea Forums

also, sega is pretty chill with fangames. attracts a lot of infomatricians who want to mess around with stuff, and these folks tend to be autists as well
I dunno, even being an sperg I don't like Sonic games
What is it about Nintendo games that attracts loyal fanboys that any game company would love to have that will blindly BUY 95% of their games in the millions?
I don't give a shit about Sonic, never did. I also don't have autism or ass burgers.
This should be how they test for autism, just sit the kid down in a room with a Sega Genesis and Sonic and also a book. If the kid plays Sonic he's an autist.
They're considered "slow", right? Sonic is fast. So by liking Sonic, has fastness rubs off on them, allowing them to catch up with everybody else.
I think I read about how people with autism have trouble recognizing subtle facial expressions and social cues, and have trouble telling people apart in general. One thing Sonic offers them (in addition to My Little Pony and Thomas the Tank Engine) are distinctive character designs, color-wise making them easy to tell apart, and simple straightforward dialog with plenty of exaggerated facial expressions with little in the way of irony, subversion, and whatnot. The good guys are always the good guys. The bad guys are always the bad guys. Everyone has a clear personality and clear role. Autists gravitate towards that. In my experience, they hate irony and cynicism and stuff, because they have difficulty identifying it.
Confirmation bias
Franchise focuses on brightly colored superpowered creatures
The world is very welcoming and non-threatening
Every character has a distinct sihlouette
Easy to create your own fan-character
Running fast reminds them of whom they have closest kinship with.
Does that mean pic related is autistic? (japanese bikini model who likes Sonic and Undertale)
He's blue, austistic people are unironically attracted by the blue color.
start by telling us why you feel so attacted to Sonic games
Are you implying people who post on Yea Forums are not autistic?

Screencapped for truth.
What's her name?
Pokemon has some autistic fans, but it doesn't have the same concentrated autism as Sonic. Plus you don't see that many OC Pokemon, it's mostly just people picking Pokemon they like. Unlike Sonic where OCs are king.
hikaru aoyama
>whataboutism
At least focus on Zelda or something if you're going to join a discussion about autism.
>tfw no autistic big titty asian gf
I would say that Nintendo fans are much more autistic than Sonic fans.
Autists are plenty fast, just not in the ways that matter.
Cartoon animals partaking in dark and grim adventures, that's what. For some reason, people like that shit.
This picture reeks of /pol/-autism
Sonic hasn't been dark and grim since 2006
Everyone is on the spectrum, retard.
as an autist, this is a nice description
Most video games staring Animals aren't grim and dark.
Conker is the most grim video games that has an animal as a MC could ever be. It was dark humor.
Is BiBo an autist?
> ways that matter
Eventually autism will become so common that we'll need a term for people who aren't autistic
>he isn't on the infrared spectrum
Colors are for faggots

What ass-blast caused someone to make this image? Amazaing
In order for there to be sonic fans they themselves just have a blind spot so big it alters their consciousness. The reason there are Sonic fans hides in that very large blind spot.
>bizarre behaviour
from my point of view all of society exhibits bizarre behavior
/pol/ has sadly been raided by /r9k/cels who think their degenerate condition is a superpower, said image was made in response to nu-/pol/ idiocy. I blame the hypocritical left attacking them making it "cool" for the ebin lib pwning MAGAs to defend, kind of like what happened with traps when the SJW tranny wing wouldn't accept them.
I bet you think you're a woman from your point of view, too.
you just know those kids fucked each other off screen
>popular video game franchise
>had a Saturday morning anime show
>kid friendly in general
Autism just comes with that. Same with Pokemon.
Plenty of people exhibit bizarre behavior without necessarily being autistic. To them, their behavior is normal.
On the flip-side, while you might see your own behavior as normal, others might see it as bizarre.
>What ass-blast caused someone to make this image?
Being a /pol/ack, see
we need to learn how to indentify autism in new-borns and kill them upon birth.
>/pol/ has sadly been raided by /r9k/cels
why are autists hanging around on politics, as an autist, I don't give a fuck about politics and since I am self-centered I'll assume every other autist thinks the same way.
But Shadow isn't usually a bad guy. And he's the most popular of the bunch. Sometimes even more than Sonic. His personality is grey. So your argument that they play off of static roles is moot.
Sounds like you have autism.
Pokemon fans can get pretty extreme. The difference is that Pokemon, by virtue of having more consistent quality, is immediately more acceptable among the gaming trenders than Sonic. As such, people will forgive and overlook displays of Pokefan autism while they will actively seek out Sonic autism.
There's a good reason /vp/ exists.
Shadow is the edgy bad boy with a heart of gold. Autists have no trouble understanding that simple character archetype. Nothing personnel, kid.
Why is Yea Forums's favorite Sonic character an obscure side character that only appeared in a couple of 90s spin-offs?
>Inappropriate laughing or giggling
Isn't this just tuning out of boring shit normies talk about and remembering something funny?
If their autism gives us more games like Mania, I don't give a shit
Also the Sonic fanbase has mostly chilled the fuck out since the early 10's, it's not nearly as bad as it was a decade ago
>try to be good but their ineptitude makes them functionally villains instead
I can see how they could relate.
Did you play SA1 and 2 when you were around 13?
No?
Then you will never understand
>the Sonic fanbase has mostly chilled the fuck out
That's what happens when the fandom subject stops selling units.
Classicfags are analytical and particular with what they want out of Sonic because they love the gameplay aspects just as much as the overall style and characters. When they're getting what they want everything is cool.
Modernfags are shit-eaters that only like the characters and the story, they don't care if the gameplay or style is horrible. When they're getting what they want the fanbase is an autistic nightmare.
It's a video game
True that, the games haven't really been good since Generations
Lost World and Boom were Wii U exclusives, the former was thoroughly mediocre and the latter was arguably worse than 06
Forces was a hot mess both story and gameplay-wise
>Character motivations are simple
>Shit tons of characters for people to self insert into or feel like they have friends
>Blue
Bright and color coded characters, the modular designs enables OC characters
Because he's not hypersexualized and he's a cowboy. And you all know what's the popular thing now.
forces is fine
Its just unfinished and should be 3 times bigger
1. He's purple
2. He has a hat
So... it's not fine?
I guess not
Also remove classic sonic and make tails playable or something
But what I meant is that it was a tiny step in the right direction tone wise
Yeah
When bored I'll usually just slide back into remembering this one Robotnik YTP
"THE STUN IS JUST FARTING"
Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.
Sonic is none of these things. He is just great, without having any real explanation as to why or how. Autists would also like to be great without needing to meet any sort of criteria, and Sonic is considered to be a role model in that regard. Sonic encourages people to be great without an actual explanation, and therefore autists will do so because that is much easier than being born great, achieving greatness, or having greatness thrust upon you, so they just cling to the idea SONIC emits that they themselves are great and that is more than enough to excuse themselves from any sort of responsibility.
This is just an average woman body after childbirth.
>He is just great, without having any real explanation as to why or how
There are plenty of characters in and out of video games that the same thing can be said about
We don’t need this thread every day
>He is just great.
Lol what? I mean he quite literally saves the world a bunch of times in his games, destroying tons of robots and shit.
>autists
That shit is old news. The main issue at hand now is that they are all turning into trannies.
True, but Sonic in general is just a very easy concept to understand in general. Sonic is a hedgehog. He does the fast thing he does. He saves the day. That's all you really need to know. Other characters can fall under this quick summary, too, but considering how commonplace Sonic is in society, he's usually autists' first choice and therefore, their only choice.
Why not just sitting the kid down in a room with a Sega Genesis and Sonic and some other popular game?
I think you answered your own question. What company wouldn't love having to shovel literal shit out the door and make bank knowing full well it will sell regardless of how others may think of it?
Based Tripfag. I'm shocked.
TSR could have been good if they had kept what made Transformed good, even if they removed plane and boat modes, morphing tracks was really cool, and the item system was actually rewarding.
He's weak, incompetent, and clumsy, but has a lot of self-confidence and tenacity. He's a natural loser but he works hard to be Sonic's rival anyway. And he clearly has a lot of fun doing what he does.
>Everyone has a clear personality and clear role
this is very false in current day modern sonic. example: Tails in Forces

>distinctive character designs, color-wise making them easy to tell apart
>Everyone has a clear personality and clear role
Isn't that just a basic part of building a setting?
