Just be honest and call it a visual novel Paradox, we both know there won't be a text parser

>Coteries of New York presents the struggle for power between two vampiric factions: Camarilla and Anarchs

What V5 did to the Sabbat is shameful

>New york
Whats some seedy underbelly places you'd find vampires hanging out in?

>You’ll be able to choose your character from three different vampires
>VN

dropped

>v5
lol fucking dropped. Why not make a 4e d&d game while we're wasting money on systems no one likes?

The cheap milking has begun. Mobile gacha game when?

> Paradox
> begun

White Wolf has been releasing these visual novels for years at this point. It's this sad attempt at trying to make some extra money after their deal with CCP shit the bed with the World of Darkness MMO. It's nothing new.

As you might imagine, they're not terribly good. They're also not offensively bad but you could do a lot better.

New York as it was envisioned in the early 90s is very, very different from modern day New York. It's not an exaggeration to say that it still looked like something out of the Warriors film at the time.

this. wasn't NY always sabbat turf?

>no character creation
fucking garbage why bother

It's good now that the franchise has been revived they will immediately kill it by releasing shovelware.

Yes. The Sabbat had some pretty interesting lore updates in V5 involving a crusade/civil war in the middle east. But anything interesting there is undercut by the fact that they no longer have a presence anywhere else which fucking sucks Sabbat was a great way to make your character feel vulnerable and in over their head like a human again. Sabbat were like double-vampires.

>Jews don't exist.

I can't wait for Aisling Sturbridge to show up as a Anarch because she's a "nice" vampire and no good vampire would be a part of the fascist Camarilla.

>all these haters
Sad.

*dabs*

>V5

Sure that's also why such morally stalwart characters like Agata Starek are Anarch
Or why the Setites went Anarch while the Assamites became accepted in the Cam.

>interactive fiction
what's up with these companies re-labeling genres?
are they trying to be more artsy fartsy or something?

I don't think it's even Paradox, VTM is just suddenly used by everyone

Interactive Fiction is an ancient genre though

>Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition
Into the trash it goes

It’s not as interesting when you realize it was just an excuse to get a lot of shit away from the game to build the framework they wanted.

>Single player narrative experience.
So its a walking simulator about tranny Brujah Mary Sues.

>Favorite game gets a sequel after god knows how long
>Uses the shit system
>Uses the shit version for the setting
>Gameplay is adapted to "modern" standards rather than improved
I will never ask for a sequel.

yeah, I don't understand the need to redesing the game every 5 years or so, it's not like some new hardware came up, it's just a book

Can only sell the same book so many times

The reason is simple: you can't sell book everyone already have.
It's a niche market, if you don't make new one after every few years you're out of business.

Still, you don't need to change what made the early versions interesting.

Getting the Sabbat out of the first world was absolutely necessary if you want to have even the smallest of the Masquerade still standing

V5 was literally the first redesign of the WoD system if you don't count nWoD.
And by god it needed it, character creation actively punished you for not being a minmaxer and 4roll combat was an absolute chore.
But they didn't. The only way that you'd think that if your sole experience with the setting is wiki diving.

Nice try Paradox.

Agreed. But they made them leave Mexico, their original stronghold, too. If anything all the cartel carnage is perfect for the sabbat.

I'd say making them leave Mexico and especially mexico city is mostly showing how commited they are to the Crusade

Enlighten me whats wrong with 5th edition?

for someone who knows nothing about the tabletop what does v20 and v5 have to do within the context of the video games

It is boring though and makes the setting feel less dangerous.

Starting with the art, v20 uses actual drawings, v5 uses some low quality drawings and some weird low quality photos, clans got their balls ripped off, lasombra is a good example, and the plot progress, from end of the world nightmarish events, to, nothing happened lol, I can't describe the technical parts, because I never player with another person.
