Can it be saved?

Haha, no

So, they'd be actually admitting defeat? Quite depressing desu

>Goes free to play
>Gets compared EVEN MORE to Warframe
>Gets shit on even more

It was already in terminal condition when it arrived.

If it went free it could get the boost it needs but they still need to put out a ton of armors/cosmetics to keep the game going.

Are they going to make it a full game?

I still don't get it why did they decided to create such an abomination. They only have to follow their succesful Mass effect/Dragon Age formula
>create new universe and lore
>interesting characters
>good dialogues, with a paragon/rebel similar system
>romances
>replayability based on picking different choices, choosing between male or female MC
Why did they decided to do a destiny/warframe rip off? even if they wanted multiplayer, the ME3 MP was good enough.

>They only have to follow their successful Mass effect/Dragon Age formula
But anthem was a gamble on getting the looter shooter zoomer's money

I don't think it will go f2p but if it does i'll have a field day with a friend of mine that tried everything to make me buy this game and failed. He's still salty he got scammed but this would be icing on top.

You can't apply trashy f2p lootbox mechanics to a single player story-focused game. They tried in Inquisition and it was so awful people modded it out as soon as they could.

Going free to play didn't save Evolve, Battleborn, or Lawbreakers and it won't save Anthem either

What a joke

>in Inquisition
What lootboxes? I have completed 4 times DA:I
Are you talking about War table? because that is not a lootbox.

>no romances
>beta male virgin cuck protagonist Freelancer
Shoulda had romances BioWare your game sold like shit cause no romances BioWare what now "anthchads"

>create new universe and lore
They probably fail at this step

It's not loot boxes but it is a terrible mobile game mechanic that only exists to push this weird idea of " long-term player engagement" EA is so obsessed with. Why does a fluff quest in a single player game need a real-time timer?

>Here Is What Real Money Buys You in Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer
Published 4 years ago by Jane Douglas
Staffs! Potions! Swords.

What does spending real money get you in Dragon Age: Inquisition's multiplayer store? We open loot chests so you don't have to in this Dragon Age: Inquisition gameplay on Xbox One. Microtransactions ahoy!

In Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer, consumables such as health potions and treasure chests of randomised loot can be purchased with platinum bought with real money or with in-game currency earned by playing the game's co-op multiplayer mode.
>The loot in a chest bought in the store contains a few potions and a few pieces of equipment of varying quality, including ten-a-penny Fereldan longswords and occasional rare items, such as the flaming scythe-style staff in the video above.
>On your initial visit to the multiplayer store you receive a starter chest of randomised potions and items to give you a taste. After that, a medium chest (for instance) contains three potions and three items and costs 725 coins or 150 platinum; bundles of platinum are sold in the store, ranging from a couple of pounds for 300 platinum to 40GBP for 5600 platinum.
>Duplicate or rubbish items can be 'salvaged' for crafting materials, which can be used to create new gear and upgrades for your multiplayer characters with schematics in the multiplayer suite.

I wouldn't even play it for free

I wouldn't play this game even if I could pirate it. Nothing about it looks interesting at all.

the porn was the only good thing that came out of this game

Say it with me now

Electronic-

Like I said BioWare shoulda had romances BioWare Freelancer worst protagonist beta male virgin

You never know. It's not like there are a ton of looter shooters on the market.

i literally predicted this seems to be a thing with all online games now

>Can it be saved?
no chance
I challenge someone to find one thing that Anthem did well, because it's all fucked from what I saw
>shit story
>shit performance
>bugs, glitches, crashes, matchmaking didn't even work right on release and probably still doesn't
>loot system is fucked
>all the guns are the same shit and combat is boring as hell
>trash enemy variety
>no endgame

Borderlands 3 is coming out this year

This would be the ultimate fuck you to those who actually bought it, holy shit.

the ultimate fuck you to those who actually bought it was the game

EA wanted those live-service dollars.

Yeah but its not free and that would just make it 4 looters. Two free and two paid.

Has any failed game even recovered from going f2p? Battleborn, evolve...?

Borderlands 3 is going to be at the low end of AAA releases like every other borderlands game

Seems to work better for games that are still doing okay like TF2 and CSGO

I don't think so. EA despises free-to-play pay models - they'll probably shut down the game entirely rather than let it run without a price tag for long.

Still seems weird that Battleborn decided to keep the co-op mode locked behind a paywall - with their numbers dwindled down so much, you'd think they'd want to limit how much they partitioned new players off from the rest of them.

lol there were so many retards defending this piece of shit over at /vg/ and now their general has been dead for a month.

>"Anthchads"
Shoulda had romances Anthchads

From suffering?

Oh so Flop Legends didn't turn out as big as they planed and now they are banking back on Anthem?
Kek, jewtronic arts is pathetic.

It's not worth my time.
I'd rather post here than play Anthem

They can be compensated with special gear and in-game currency.
It wouldn't be that hard to make it up to the buyers.

Going f2p won't fix anything
it will increase the playerbase for like 1 month or less and then they will leave cause there's still nothing to do, the itemization is shit and the game is full of bugs

>It wouldn't be that hard to make it up to the buyers.

It's not like they have to make it up for many people in the first place

They've accidentally boosted drop rates twice now and dropped them back down to nothing both times, haven't they?

Apex Legends.
Also they just gave NHL 19 away for free on Xbox.

Look, fuck EA. They do enough damage yo themselves you don't need to lie about them.

Exactly
