While both have thier issues, God Eater and Toukiden both blow Dauntless out of the water. There's no mechanical depth to anything and all the monsters are boring reskins of half a dozen skeletons.

Dauntless was only ever going to be a cheap knockoff of MonHun but for PC, but then Capcom announced and released World - which completely deflated Dauntless' reason for existing as it provided a high def console experience and had a PC port as well.

Played it for an hour and a half, hunted half a dozen monsters. It's not very good, the combat and the monsters. It being ugly doesn't help either because that means that I don't really feel any drive to PIMP MY TOON out in SICK GEAR like in other games.
