which element does electricity belong to?
Which element does electricity belong to?
Other urls found in this thread:
fire
it's is own element
fire
it isn't
water
Ideally it's own element.
In settings where it doesn't have one, it should be grouped into Light; or Air if there's no light element, or Air + Fire if there's elemental mixing
Electricity is one of the five magics
Wizardry
Alchemy
Sorcery
Thermotology
Electricity
It is sort of its own thing, energy released from ion displacement and whatnot.
purple
yes it is, connecting it with fire makes no sense
wind
It is.
It's not an element. It's the movement of electrons, which are inside elements.
is gravity an element as well then?
Technically it's wind. I would say Wind + Fire.
Holy.
In Dominions it belongs to Air
Air
There is no Lightning element
Plasma is Fire
Ice is Water
Wood/Plants are Earth
files.catbox.moe
Ignore this.
RAITONINGU EREMENTU!!
Based.
Fuck firecucks and fuck windcucks, electromagnetichads are based.
Air I guess
>He uses greek elements for magic
kek
>implying fire isn't also a chinese element
electricity is its own element
There might be something to this
The universe is Electric
This 100%. The sky darkens, a great sound rolls out like a mountain was being crushed, and as the rains begin to fall in a mighty torrent, white streaks of death start striking the earth? You can't tell me that's not Ur of the Sky flexing on us.
i feel your electric
>Earth Magic (Energy and Matter)
>Soul Magic (Life and Death)
>Void Magic (Antithesis of Matter)
boom mix and match you got your magic families.
Electricity is plasma
Fire is plasma
Plasma is electrically charged gas
So technically you could say fire but to categorize some as being one of the four elements is esoteric and fun but scientifically useless.
Air + Water + Earth
wind because lightning storms
Light
thunder
Avatar got it right. It's fire. They are both plasma.
Elements as the ancient Greeks and Chinks came up with, don't exist.
Electricity is a form of lava
Jupiter
This is definitely the Gods duking it out with some Demons
Obviously wind
WIIIIIIIIINDS
OBEY MY COMMAND
LIKE SWA- LIKE SWATING INSECTS
Gravity is literally it's own fundamental force of the universe, so yes.
>implying
Also, in here when the sky rumbles we say the devil is beating his wife so its obviously demonic element
gravity is just a wind element
Electricity it's just slim fire
>the virgin classical elements
>the chad fundamental forces
It is plasma. So fire.
Mixture of air and fire.
According to Avatar it's fire.
Although I think it should belong to Air.
why is it blue then?
earth wind and fire
Avatar was a shit cartoon and you should feel bad for liking it.
TLA was good. LOK was shit.
this
You are a literal retard. Gravity is NOT its own thing. Everything is Dielectric, Magnetism, and Electricity.
Magnetism
Aerothurge
No they're both shit and you're retarded.
Explain how TLA was shit, you pleb.
which makes sense because both fire and lightning are plasma
damn, dis niggrump dumb af
Because I master...five magics.
I only know this from the Megadeth song, never bothered to learn the source.
ELECTRIC UNIVERSE FAGGOT DETECTED
You're a complete fucking nigger. Don't beg for shit from me you utter faggot. I will skullfuck you.
ice because it's created by tiny ice particle rubbing together in the clouds, and they store the charge that makes it happen.
nature
its a bootleg anime
What' s the difference between Wizardry and Sorcery?
Wind, you cockhugger.
fire
wizardry uses INT, sorcery uses CHA
Wizardry is more scholarly magic, disciplined and basically like science and shit. Sorcery is more wild and out there, rituals and pacts with demons and shit.
t.
Everything is electricity
There are no elements, they are just a variation of electrons. It depends on the type of universe and maybe
wizards use cool elemental powers like water, fire, lightning
sorcerers use retarded shit no one likes, like poison, weather powers, animal talking
Prove it
Based icechads working firecucks into a seethe and electric charge into a lightning bolt
>pretending to know what you're talking about
I don't know, you tell me
Fire is blue at its hottest moron. Turn on the fucking stove.
>blizzard
>forest
>explosion
all retarded, shit image
thats not fire, thats plasma
elements are something that the earth is composed of while lightning is the will of the heavens
fire is red
if its blue its not fire
Which is the strongest Elemental State of Matter?
>Solid
>Liquid
>Gas
>Plasma
Based retard
Fire it's just hot plasma
United States
Huh. Now I’m thinking of a world with lightning in its veins.
Fire. Fire is typically a catch all representative category for "power" and "energy" so electricity fits in well.
People associate electricity with wind because lightning happens during storms but I can tell you right now lightning is more a product of the massive voltage (read: potential energy) difference than it is a product of the physically controllable properties of the air itself.
Going to use my 200 IQ here morons.
Lightning is when atmospheric pressure equalizing on the air creating a discharge. This requires mastery of the atmosphere creating turbulence in the area.
By default its element is air.
Solids
This.
thats a good concept
multiple series have made it the difference between east and west
>no installation wizard
ONE
JOB
>Solid - physical damage
>Plasma - magic damage
>Gas - status effects, buffs, debuffs
>Liquid - healing
Now I want to make a game that does this.
doesn't matter
So if lightning is plasma, does that mean every weapon that shocks you with an arc of electricity is a plasma caster?
Learned knowledge vs innate skill.
Wizards study magic and have to learn everything, but CAN learn everything. Sorcerers have innate magical ability and don't have to study shit, but there are some magical heights that they will just never reach.
They have a somewhat similar potential body of spells, but a Wizard has to rigorously study magic for years to be able to master the use of it while a Sorcerer has been accidentally shooting fireballs from his fingertips since he was 5 and doesn't necessarily have to have a clue how any of it works.
Virgin vs Chad but for magic.
Wrong, Sorcery isn't necessarily black magic and demonology you're thinking of Warlocks.
Double wrong. Dumb.
Itself.
Lightning isn't plasma, it's electricity that travels through a plasma channel to the ground. The plasma is a consequence of the immense voltage of the lightning and not actually the lightning itself.
everyone who says fire is dumb as fuck
everyone who says air is literally retarded
So they're not actually different types of magic at all. It's like saying people swimming and fish swimming is different somehow but not specifying how exactly. People do have to learn it and fish are born doing it, but it's still called fucking swimming.
Air
it is superheated air though
Hold on a second, Lightning is all four elements.
>Clouds (Water + Air)
>Plasma (Fire)
>Magnetism (Earth)
We're breaking new ground here.
fire is also heated air, if you think about it like that.
>all four elements are made of atoms
>atoms contain electrons
Electricity confirmed most powerful element
They are different in some ways but not really. Sorcerers are literally just born special, dragon blood ancestry or blessed by the gods or just some 1 in a million random child born with innate magical powers.
Imagine if you were born absolutely ripped, like totally jacked, like a baby with a 6 pack that needed no maintenance and you were always peak performance, but you could never grow BIGGER muscles than what you already have, whereas a Wizard would be somebody who trains for years and years to become swole and has to keep it up but can end up becoming even more buff than you after enough effort.
Not really a super good analogy but it gets the point across.
Primarily ionized Nitrogen and Oxygen forming a channel for electron transport between the clouds and ground.
user, we are all electricity wizards. The circuits are our runes, the batteries our crystals. With it's power we have deduced the nature of our universe and mastered near telepathy. And on top of it all, we shitpost on a chinese electric to photon converter infrastructure about more electric to photon converter with elaborate electric switches like no other.
I've always wondered, how can nature generate massive discharges of energy like thunders?
magnets, aint gotta explain shit
Most of the time through the power of the fucking sun.
Free charges built up in clouds by dust and ice rubbing together creates a voltage large enough to break down a channel of air into plasma through which the electricity can flow all the way to the ground.
Earth = Solid
Water = Liquid
Air = Gas
Fire = ???
They are both plasma, as people keep saying.
So is the glowing blast wave of a nuclear bomb, because all that is is superheated air too. There's no gasoline or anything to make the huge fireball in a nuke, that's all just the atmosphere heated to the point of incandescence.
Couldn't we harness that energy infinitely if we made a "thunder-machine"?
>light magic
>healing magic
>dark magic
>gravity magic
Not really. It'd be like trying to power shit with a static electricity machine
is this american education?
Thunderclouds are like natural massive capacitors
Add too much electrical charge and BOOM thunder. And the closer to the cloud, the less charge you need to 'break' the dielectric, that's why thunders usually fall on tall stuff like trees, or people if they are unfortunate enough
Go ahead and design a machine that can reliable capture lightning strikes and predict thunderstorms while also not having its electronics fried.
There's usually three elements Lightning shows up in for games:
Lightning Element
Light/Holy Element
Wind Element
I've never seen Lightning fall under Fire anywhere but Avatar: The Last Airbender and its use was born from a Firebender learning from watching Waterbenders.
quasi- elemental - air and positive material
Would be perfect if explosion is changed to magma.
There's not a lot of conveniently accessible energy in it, by no means infinite anything. Electrons have to be moving to create electrical energy and that movement is, in this scenario, the lightning that happens.
You can put a lightning rod out with some batteries and something to handle the voltage but it's not gonna be a sustainable power source or even a backup.
Also thunder is just the sound of lightning your ESL fuck
Yeah, now that I think about it, it's a pretty stupid idea. Because it needs to be reliable in terms of cost x the amount of energy you'll get from each thunder, and with our technology I don't think that's possible.
>undead paladin uses uses healing magic to harm your party
strong nuclear force says hi, faggor
Plasma, Fire is like the face of plasma.
Is ice water? I know ice is water that is frozen but does it cease to be water or is it both?
With any level of technology it's not really possible. A lot of the energy goes into creating the plasma channel or is dissipated as the sound you hear and the light show you see from each strike.
ice is literally water
It's solid water.
Water is water regardless of temperature, pressure, or state. Ice is just a convenient name for solid water so people like you don't get confused too much.
It's possible, just not efficient.
this user knows what he is talking about
It's still ice you donut.
theres actually just 3 elements, electricity, matter and energy
There are over 100 elements
correct if you're only considering the way magic works in dnd
ITT: autismo comp sci majors, neetcels, and wagecucks who think Naruto elements are interesting
electricity is energy
there is only matter and energy
man, i want a post apocalytic game/scenario where the atmosphere DID catch on fire at the first test, however brief it would be.
imagine being a long range radar operator, or some nig high up, on the other side of the planetand you saw whats coming and just...
what would you even do (before melting or suffocading. i dont even know what would actually kill you)?
those are chemicals not elements
fire is elemental
carbon is chemical
Whatever you think is interesting is no better, so you're in good company here.
What about void?
>gravity
e=mc^2
that's dumb, i'm pretty sure fire has no relation with lightning, beyond the fact that lightning can set things on fire if it's dry enough
General Iroh was such a badass holy shit
Electricity is MOVING CHARGE
Fire is COMBUSTION REACTIONS
Plasma is IONISED (purely pedantry) electrically charged gas
Unlocked by speccing into both Fire and Wind (70/30 split). Holy (race) high level perk allows access without said speccing.
those are all matter
matter with a lot of energy is hot, without it is cold
matter with a lot of electricity expel each other and attract matter with low electricity
>no poison
>no holy
>no darkness
go back to skul kid
It’s E=sqrt((mc^2)^2+(pc)^2)
I guess you can say energy doesn't matter.
It's own or an extension of fire. Anything else is wrong.
>WASTE
Ingenius thread OP.
super fluids
friction is my bitch
Correct in general when considering sorcerers as distinct entities from wizards in fiction where they both appear you human swine
>Electricity
Wouldn't it be called electromancy?
Faith, obviously
If you don't include it in air magic then it's a crosspath magic from air and fire. This is the only correct answer.
It makes the most sense.
To the boogaloo element, Trust me, i am an engineer.
Which is it Yea Forums:
Nature, Grass, Forest, or Wood?
Nature power. Grass is a type, Wood is a meme, and Forest is a place/mana.
