Look at it this way, people buying ArmA 2 for DayZ was more money going toward Bohemia Interactive so they could have the funds needed to make ArmA 3 as great as it was. Far as I'm concerned, any money gone toward BI is well deserved. Their games are imperfect, but they have more heart in them than vast majority of games on the market.

ghost recon was always futuristic. though the first game was genuine dry tom clancy futurism where instead of hovercars you had riflemen armed with oicw and shit like that. shame about the sequels yeah.

There are always first 2 Wargames. There is even a post-apoc scenario.
Endwar feels like Cold War went forever and then ended.

most of the arma 3 bugs are unironically fun to work around. unless youre shooting for perfect realism, in which you have the wrong game.

I did all the tank missions using HEAT because I am autistic and believe in the power of the hollow charge against vatnik armour, even my battalion used HEAT when I was the leader

The weird popping/bursting noise when a character was shot in the face and the decal of blood that face when they're shot really disturbed me

My main problem with modern and futuristic simulators is flooding soldiers with techno gadgets instead of armies being just man+rifle like in Flashpoint.
It ads some sense of local conflict instead of SUPER BLACK OPERATOR OPS

Yeah, I actually enjoyed ArmA 3's campaign despite all the gadget gimmicks.
