A step in the right direction would be the games only coming out every 4 years, no longer requiring Uplay spyware, and Ubisoft losing control of the license.

>witcher 3 with stealth, boats and shitty writing
No thank you
I wish they'd go back to making the climbing manual too. The only reason I got into AssCreed in the first place was because nobody was making any more Tomb Raider or Prince of Persia games

>there's no assassin
>in assassins creed

umm. . op time to got to bed

The only plausible step is open game for heavy modding.

I played Odyssey up to a point and just refunded because the level of bugs was fucking embarrassing from an AAA game
ive seen more stable eurojank
enemies glitching through walls and spazzing around ladders, attacks without animations, ruined saves, stupid AI, bugged quests

it's a prequel
Not sure why they decided to make a prequel to the game called Origins, though

>step in the right direction for Assassin's Creed?
The only step in the right direction is into the bin. Maybe if the series fucks off for 10 or 20 years they can then make more, but as with ubisofts standard they oversaturate, release the same reskinned pish year on year. AC shoulda stopped at 2, it was enough.

No it was a step in the wrong direction by every possible metric BUT my fetish is old men coercing healthy young women into sex, and since that happens at least a half dozen times in the game, I bought it. The more fool me though, as after my fourth consecutive 12-hour edging session watching my darling Kassandra run through the woods picking viagra herbs so a hairy old fat blacksmith can fuck her brains out to get a sword so she can fuck some other guy that my dick had been permanently weakened by the experience, some piece of my immortal essence was blasted away by the titanic force of my orgasm as Kassandra steals an ancient greek dildo for the express purpose of Pericles' fop son using it on her until she's immobilized. To this day I do not know if I will ever recover, but I consider mine a small but necessary sacrifice on the road to something greater. Something truly incandescent.

I think the series is too far gone at this point, I thought Revelations kind of sucked but I was pretty into it up until 4 which I thought was great, tried playing rogue cause I heard it was a lot like 4 but just couldn't be fucked, though I've heard Syndicate was pretty good, better than Unity at least so I kind of want to give it a go. The different gameplay in Origins and Odyssey looks okay/kind of fun but I just can't be bothered getting into it. They shouldn't have went crazy with the yearly releases, I think that's what ruined the series for me.

God fucking damn the PoP trilogy on ps2 was my favourite shit I would kill for a new game like those ones
I go back and play through them again every year or 2, I have all 3 discs on ps2 in a big case, the collection on ps3 and all of them downloaded on PC as well
the 2008 game and the Forgotten Sands were both okay in different ways but nowhere near as good as the PS2 trilogy, and WW is by far the best one.

No.
They have shit fucking stealth and just need to give up.

>Its a prequel
To what? The story is so fragmented and all over the place.

With the removal of shields, it was a step backwards

Origins was perfect gameplay-wise and they fucked that up by taking away the shield (in a fucking Ancient Greece setting!!!) and adding all sorts of arcadey powers. The game is also noticeably more janky. Like euro-jank janky.

They did go in the right direction with all the RPG mechanics and the way they present quests is great.

I still don’t know why they decided to make a prequel to *Origins* since it cannot possibly have anything to do with the assassins

It wasn't a step in any direction. It was a reskin of the previous year's game.

japanese game:
>take a girl
>call it a boy
ubishit game:
>take a man
>rub it up with sandpaper
>call it a woman

Literally every article on the wiki has "THE MERCENARY KASSANDRY DID THIS BTW." Someone's insecure.

Are her toes painted pink, or is it just the lighting?

>watch dogs 2 has nude npcs
>odyssey doesn't

Dial 8

While I enjoy the freeform roaming, I didn't like how open-ended the story was, or the lack of real drive to accomplish anything. The conspiracy element is lacking, and not having the targets berate you upon their deaths makes the game feel like it's missing the part that makes it Assassin's Creed.
