Is there anyway to automate mining > selling the ore to a merchant? I understand the first step to issuing constant commands but anything after that the game doesn't hold your hand with.

Katana is the one of the weakest weapons in the game.
Crossbows > HUGE powergap > end game martial arts > mid and end game heavy weapons > katana/short katana/long katana
Katanas are only good for training dex, and they're completely worthless compared to polearms and crossbows as weapons in the early game, and in the late game, they're outclassed and become worthless since they can't do shit against armor and bots.

I played for 300+ hours straight before Ifinally got bored put this game down, unsure if I'll ever pick it up again. This game is absolute magic when you're discovering everything you can do in it but then sadly loses the magic once you've discovered everything.

Iv'e heard bleed is ridiculous though, i'm only 10 hours in and struggling so i can't beat shit but iv'e bled out a lot and have had to save scum.

I ain't spending the 15 minutes it takes to open the game and load my save on my toaster to get you that.
I had my two strongest characters, who were probably on average in their low 30's attack and defense scouting Skinner's Roam for possible base locations. I saw a pretty large pack of starving bandits, and figured why not? Then almost as soon as I engaged, another equally large pack of starving bandits jumped in. Then once the fight was over and they were finishing off the crawling survivors, a small pack of dust bandits jumped in.
I'm at about 350 hours total, but I have a bad habit of starting a new game all the time, so I've never gotten to any of the later game stuff.

Not really dude. Katanas are better against unarmoured enemies and there are LOTS of late game unarmoured enemies. Kenshi also has lots of hidden stats like how weight affects attack and block speed and such, and Katanas are by far the best weapon for 1v1 duels. In the end though variety is best and you should have at least 1 character speced for different situations ie. A heavy armored heavy weapon guy for crowds and a Katanas samurai for duels.

Bleed is ridiculous on (you). It's worthless on enemies. It's true that cutting damage is superior to blunt, but katana just doesn't do enough damage nor does it do anything at all against armour. For the early game, you want polearms for melee, as they're very low skill friendly, and have bonus against unarmored and beasts, which are the majority of your early game woes. Late game crossbows are mandatory, and you want heavily armored melee dudes with good anti armour weapons like Falling Suns.
The real fucking bullshit in the game is martial arts at high levels, but it's a given, seeing how it's insanely hard to level martial arts, and it's absolutely worthless early game and WILL get you killed if you don't know what you're doing. Most weapons are servicable though, don't let this discourage you. Just stay clear of pure blunt weapons, now those are truly worthless.

I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen any. There is topless female mod on the workshop, but that's pretty much the only 18+ mod I've seen. Also surprised it's on the workshop.

That's one thing I love about this game. Pretty much everything that happens to you, except for death itself, will improve you.

Here is another similar slaughter scene from another previous save. This one was in Venge, and those drone swarms that I can't remember what they were called just wouldn't stop coming.
I do have the mod that allows for recruiting up to 256 party members, but honestly, I have the most fun with 10 or less party members.
