time to get comfy

Its somehow very monotonous, yet still fun, and even addicting when you really get in the mood for it.
Pretty good game, dunno when I'll ever beat it though. I usually get an urge to play a lot of it every couple years.

>building a village
>occasionaly find chests
>that music that plays when going inside a house

I wished more games had city building like it.

After I beat this game, I had an intense urge to buy a gourd, to store water in.

>"it's a pretty solid Zelda clone"
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I'm going to make the spiritual successor for my next game.

ive started this like 4 times but always lose interest during the underwater ship. next try will be the one

Building villages in both 1 and 2 is so fucking comfy. Enough room to both fulfill all the requests and yet still make it semi-unique.

I only ever played the demo when I was small and I was terrified of the genie thing

Lots of interesting ideas in it and the sequel, but the game loop becomes unfun and repetitive. Rogue Galaxy is basically Dark Cloud 3 and shows they never really learned their lesson.

The underwater ship was my favorite area. It's spooky and has good music.

A pretty repetitive and barebones dungeon crawler. The games two biggest strengths were the weapon crafting and town building, everything else was meh.

It was more fun than dot hack.

I loved it. What were the particulars of the game, I have already forgotten; All that I remember is that I was certainly a little touched when playing it.

tried to get into this but couldnt. might try again at some point. seems super comfy if youre a fan of it.

Is that really saying much?

They honestly don't make games like this at all anymore. Persona 5 was the closest thing.

I really liked it when I was younger but the mimics scared me too much I never finished it.

This is really really sweet. I recently bought Zelda OOT and MM. I have a feeling I'd like Dark Cloud

What would you want in a spiritual successor? What would make combat more fun, specifically.

That's where I lost interest but in '03 or '04 on PS2. Also spent hours trying to catch fish with various fruits. I have it on PS4 maybe I'll try it again.
