Here's a real criticism: The building mechanic is antithetical to good, skillfull shooter gameplay. The ability to conjure up cover to hide behind is the ultimate way to make a shooter that ANY retard can get good at.

Fair enough, I can understand hating the game especially going into Fortnite with mindset of it being a regular shooter. It isn't really a shooter game at all, more of a strategy game featuring guns. But yeah I can see how if you are used to games that rely on teamwork, tactics, good aim and movement it can be a bit jarring.

It's not that new, and I'm not sure how many of them are genuine.

Gunplay (while V's is not spectacular it was much better than the clunk fest that was IV's gunplay), replay value, soundtrack, graphics (obviously), customization (this is night and day), mission structure, atmosphere and driving (if you seriously think IV's pathetic excuse of "realistic" driving is better than V's, kill yourself, V's driving is the most fun in an open world game that I've played, period)

Here's a real criticism. The balance is fucking trash. It took MONTHS to address how broken shotguns were. A blue pump could easily one shot someone from 15 yards. This is before they added the Epic & Legendary shotguns. Even after shotguns were toned down, they were still too good. Epic cares more about adding costumes to squeeze money out of little kids than actually balancing the game.

There's very little to the games other than combat and the combat offers no real strategy beyond hitting enemies weaknesses and killing guys until you're strong enough to kill the big guys.
