WoL is as strong as the story needs him to be at a given moment. We punt Shinryu so hard we knock Zenos out of him but we also get overpowered by 3 people to take "measurements", it's also difficult to measure WoLs strength because game is inconsistent on whenever we are doing all the primal slaying on our own or with a conveniently sized party available in any part of the world at any time.
Since wipes are simply echo visions of the future in which you die, you could argue WoL prog his way into beating anything

WoL is street level when not fighting primals, but scales in power directly to how apocalyptic the threat he's fighting thanks to the Blessing of Light

I've gotten bitched out way more than what makes sense about LB usage. Specifically during steamrolls where we have good enough synergy and equipment that not even the boss will be a problem. Make sure to do your Class/Job quests, they unlock new skills. Main Story will give a lot of exp and unlock new stuff.
PGL/MNK requires you to position yourself to deal more damage, requiring flank/rear positions but you'll deal with that more during dungeons when someone is tanking the enemy for you, not so much in FATEs if you are solo.
MNK ramps up in speed once you get GL3 and in SHB you will gain GL4, getting even faster.
Easy to tunnel-vision or get overly greedy with and then you eat a hit just because you don't really want to disengage and then die. Right now you might end up starving for TP if you have too much skillspeed but 5.0 will fix it, removing TP entirely.

The WoL has three powers.

1. The echo, which protects their soul from corruption by Primals and other forces and also grants them special aether reading powers that in their case manifest as the ability to see into the past of people and places in their proximity.
2. The blessing of light, which allows them precognitive and aetheric manipulation powers beyond the echo's normal scope, essentially making them unable to be defeated by normal means due to foreseeing outcomes where they perish, and also gives them a wellspring of aetheric power limited only by how much power the planet has left to give them. Only the true body of Midgardsormr and Zodiark possess power that can compare in certain situations thus far due to the former being able to passively absorb aether from the cosmos and the latter being the waning counterpart to the planet itself.
3. A connection to all others with the blessing of light that basically allows them to summon other Warriors of Light and normal people pretty much have no idea it's even happening, from their perspective you are soloing every trial and raid or and only the most attuned of NPCs can even realize you have other people present and usually think you are somehow calling your adventurer buddies who somehow avoided being controlled by the Primals or have the Echo but somehow won't be recruited by the Scions.

Battle theme could use better transition but it's still good.

ShB MNK is fucking brainless. You press your GCDs and keep your five (5!) total oGCD abilities on cooldown. That's it. That's an orange MNK parse in ShB. There are tanks with more depth than ShB MNK.

And no, SSS won't be used in the rotation. It'll be used when you disconnect from the boss, and that's it. It's not even an oGCD like its tooltip says, it's just a GCD.

It'd be like if DRG lost Life of the Dragon, Spineshatter, Dragonfire, and Mirage Dive, and then Life Surge as well just for spite, and in exchange got two abilities to use during downtime and harder hitting, slightly faster GCDs. That's what happened to MNK in ShB.

Actually there was one other good part of Stormblood, for healers. It was the first time anyone in a cutscene acknowledges the fact that you are a healer when somebody is wounded, even though it's only slightly altered dialogue it is SOMETHING. I mean I'm only the most powerful healer in the known universe as the WoL, if I could somehow stop standing around slack-jawed in every cutscene a lot of people would be saved.

No, you don't use Anatman in rotation. Even with Anatman working at GL0 it's STILL a DPS loss. Always. The only exception is if you can snapshot every single relevant raid buff with your TK. Then it becomes slightly positive.

And GL0 Anatman won't work.

The opportunity cost of TK went up exponentially. Giving up GL4 means you have further to go to get back up to max speed. Losing Wind Tackle and the Perfect Balance nerf means you can't regain stacks as fast. And the huge GCD potency buffs means not having GL4 on your GCDs during the rebuild period is a much, much larger loss. These three things combine to make TK never worth using outside of the opener and technically the 6m reopener.

To be fair a lot of the deaths were justified in having chunks blown out of them.

But they still call them Scions when they are adventurers. They still call YOU a Scion despite explicitly telling you that you can remain an adventurer and keep your independence.

You'll have a whole 20% chance of catching a server tick, since it takes the animation of your GCD (0.7s) and then the Anatman animation (0.7s) before it starts watching, leaving you with 0.6s left before your next GCD. Server ticks happen once every 3s, so that's 0.6/3 = 20% of a server tick you just covered.

I mean I guess it depends on what your play style is, but I'm leveling Sam now and it's pretty fun, the rotation takes a little bit of practice not to get lost in the sauce but it's pretty easy to manage. A pretty quick level all things considered. So honestly you could speed level Sam and then do SMN.

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept punching his hand in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my leve quest, and I heard him /laugh as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen lalafells in his hands without paying.
Momodi was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the Lalafells and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and started handing them in one at a time and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s possible. After she scanned each Lalafell and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by nodding really loudly.

Oh and usually when it was time to do the TK part of the rotation, there was heavy movement mechanics since by that point your opener should have ended.
