It's very unpolished, but fun.

Better than Nioh, admittedly not as polished but at least it doesn't have the shit equipment system. Music is pretty great too.

Def play Sekiro, it is not the same but still a great game.

If you like that kind of loot system, completely separated levels, no story, and somewhat broken mechanics (either you are OP or UP) Nioh is alright. Nioh2 does feel better though.

Of course, nothing quite reaches FromSoft quality for me yet, but Code Vein is fun at least.

I played with the Lost Halberd and beat the depths at LV45. The only thing I wasn't able to beat was that endless horde invasion that seemingly never ended.

I tried to like it but couldn't. The entire game felt like I was swimming in muddy waters. Maybe it's cause the framerate was godawful though. Seriously, after having just finished like 70 hours of God Eater 3 at a silky smooth 60fps on PC, playing Code Vein on PS4 with its variable framerate that dips as low as like 10-15fps was just awful. I'll try playing this game again when it comes to PC before I come to any kind of conclusion about it though.

The only positive I can get so far is that the character creation is S-tier, with a lot of surprisingly good presets. Makes me wish they'd update God Eater 3 so that it has as good a character creator as Code Vein.

Yeah, GE3's got its own flaws, but it runs buttery smooth and the controls are as tight as you could want. Going from that to a barely stable 30 fps and controls that get finnicky whenever you want to prepare a spell or ability after doing literally anything is rough.

Your stats seem to be determined by your code and veil. Leveling makes them higher, but it's still completely dependent on those two things. So it seems you can build however you want without repercussion in terms of mixing and matching codes, veils, weapons and gifts, and your stats will be appropriate to what you are doing.
