What does it need in order to be amazing?
What does it need in order to be amazing?
To release in 2019 and not have paid DLC
please don't go full Pocket Camp on us, AC Switch... please...
I'm level 182 and still play every day I have a problem but I've only spent ZERO DOLLARS on it so it's ok.
bring back virtual consoles in there
but nintendo is too greedy to allow us to have fun
just give us well written dialogue with substance and ill be happy
All I need is New Leaf + Happy Home Designer in the same game + all the gacha furniture from Pocket Camp and I'm satisfied.
SOUL
let us live with a villager, like you can do tasks for them and they become your friend, if you become good enough friends they can expand your house so both of you live in it.
Dating
Free 3D camera
Thats literally all it needs
Everything good about all past games with none of the bad.
I want more daily things to do. Like eventually, it becomes a play 15 minutes a day type game for fossil and bug donations. And catalog filling. I just want more. City Folk brought in a bunch of new stores and that was the last actual console release. So this should be a relatively substantial upgrade from New Leaf.
I want more character dialogue for villagers, like a lot more. I know there is already a lot of villagers in the game, but when you have a small group of villagers that stick around your town you get repeat dialogue just after a few days. I also want more multiplayer features, like the ability to freely visit friends villages and interact with their stuff (obviously no griefing) I also want Isabelle to be more than a glorified menu.
be more like AC:PG and less like AC:NL
Let me fuck every villager and NPC, including the dog.
underwater escort missions
Dinosaur villagers
dating
I WANT VILLAGERS TO BE DICKS TO ME AGAIN!!!
Don't just dump all the stores into one single location, that shit is soulless and lame
Story mode
New Leaf but bigger and with farming and minigames to add more things to do
No fingerless glove meter no buy.
I just don't want to have to load a fucking island just to get the bugs I want
THIS
I never really cared about Phyllis until they took all the sass out of her. She's a nothing character in New Leaf.
Based AC:PG bro
Did anybody else want to hop over the counter and just bend her over and hatefuck her until she was begging for your cum?
This
friends with benefits gameplay mechanics
I want to be able to smash Isabelle.
>villager personalities beyond "always happy to see you"
>yard customization from HHD
>predetermined housing locations when a town is seeded to prevent moving villagers from disrupting your paths/trees/public works
>more furniture interactions, and public works that actually do shit
>online content sharing hub for uploading patterns and custom furniture
>for the love of god don't forget online multiplayer
>ability to create tourism videos to send to friends and share to the creation hub
Dating
Relationships
Marriage
this
make isabelle a side character, and give tom nook the mascot position he had for all of these years
Turn it into Magicians Quest, give it Gardening and some simple top-down Zelda like combat with mini dungeons and monsters. Add mining and such to craft armors and weapons, with a full online multiplayer
I think they'll sneak around that by doing what said, they'll say you guys are "super good friends" and "good friends live together!"
then they would need to give it to a western dev
To not take any ideas from New Leaf
end game I better be able to design my own town. I don't care how many bells I have to pay
Wasn't this actually the original goal of the series?
Comfy SimCity SNES mode.
>they do this but you have to move into their house instead
>can only redecorate your room
No?
bring back earlier mechanics, texts and content, keep new ones and add completely new things.
able to decide if you want rolling log or flat land.
return of Resetti.
more character story arcs aside from Able Sisters.
keep what ACNL created.
add new shit like jobs and houses that are shared with villagers.
if you spend a fucking lot of time with a certain villager you become best buddies.
new events that make you or other villagers into a VIP of said event or villagers decide to create a business giving them VIP status for example.
every other VIP like Nook, Redd, Sable, can become regular villagers if they think they want to stop doing the shit they always do.
these are some good examples.
also, muh biomes please.
FUCKLOADS of well written dialog, charm out the ass like the GC one. Make some rare or hard to obtain items have function(Maybe a minigame, a small buff to something like fishing luck, movespeed increase, little shit)
Let us have the option to turn on an internet features(off by default because muh nintendo kids) and go to any town randomly and actually AFFECT it to the desired amount the owner wants. Ive wanted this more than anything and the dream suite was only a pseudo version.
to be honest, I always liked Phyllis.
shit was kino when you met her in the Roost and got to know her better.
oh yeah and the ability to pay to change your towns form around and a daily dump again. The town changing can cost fuckload of bells.
Somebody gimme some cute Bob pictures
Please
Lots of polish
A lot more new activities and things to chill out to
Everyone was great at the Roost
Nintendo literally sets those games up to shit our their premium currency like the regular game
what a fag
Remove rolling log style and make us not be the mayor.
Also DO NOT add any form of romance or dating.
>predetermined housing locations when a town is seeded to prevent moving villagers from disrupting your paths/trees/public works
I haven't played an animal crossing since the DS and this annoyed me to no end.
This we need the sass back
We need villagers to tell you to fuck off
Call you an bumbling annoying idiot just getting in their way
Make the environment look more like a deep forest and less like a flat piece of land with some short trees
Better dialogue/writing is all I ask for.
I actually started working on a hack for New Leaf that rewrites dialogue on the fly with the intention of having a database online that houses unique dialogue for each villager rather than personality. It's pretty early on, but I have some proof of concept work that seems promising. Of course if the new game delivers on better writing I might just drop this.
only furries want dating shit.
I never once thought with my dick when talking to villagers.
seeing these different villagers felt cool and I'd rather want to see what they are like. so, Nintendo could at least make a best buddy system that adds a lot of character to the villagers is what I think desu.
breeding
Seriously we need some sour with our sweet or else everything tastes the same
Yes but due to techical issues they focused more on making a comfy town
Is there any excuse if the game doesn't look at least as good as the Mario Kart AC track?
When creating a new town does anyone else restart for a specific grass pattern or is it just me? I really like the triangle grass because it's like the 1990s carpet pattern.
No way fag
well hey now that it's on the Switch, maybe they could achieve something like this
It needs to look like Mario Kart 8's Animal Crossing level do it can be maximum comfy. I don't want it to look like every other game even though I loved new leafs graphics.
More dialogue. More ambience. Just put a lot of soul and charm into it. I dont really know how to put it into words.
Which Nintendo franchise changed the least amount over the years? Pokemon or Animal Crossing?
Doubt it, it's too far from what people expect of the series now, and honestly if the series ever came out like that people would only call it furry Harvest Moon or something.
I hope it's not shit. I usually play switch in bed and I want comfy.
they just can program some minigames there, not actual nes games; for example collect an action game, puzzle game, terror game, music game, etc.
neither. both are the same.
both series had more soul then and both have almost no soul now. nothing changed between the two.
i just want bigger towns and to have greater control on how they're laid out so towns actually feel more unique
also more online stuff
The problem is they will never recapture the spirit of the game as it was to middle school me. If only I could experience the magic of wild world for a first time all over again
Based. It's disappointing when there are villagers with really great, interesting designs that lend a backstory but have the exact same dialogue as another villager.
yes
please go back
agreed. having more interactions like that would make this game so fucking great
>more viable ways to make money aside from catching bugs/fishing/farming perfect fruit
>Tie a minigame into fishing to make it more interesting instead of just being a reflex test
>Skills
>more furniture sets
>an online auction house
>One or several house layouts that aren't just a gigantic square room connected to three smaller square rooms. give us hallways. Have furniture sets specifically for a bathroom or a kitchen. Give us daily buffs for bathing or eating a cooked meal
>Worthwhile money sinks aside from your house
>Bigger towns
>Get rid of the cities, bring all the businesses and offices into town
>Let us stack items of the same type (Fish, bugs, etc.) In animal crossing the inventory has always felt like a gigantic hindrance that other similar games had workarounds for
>Everyone attaches their tools to letters in their inventory to free up space while they aren't using them, just add equipment slots and cut out the middle man
>Better dialogue
>Implement a system to make it worth maintaining a high relationship with villagers, like in Stardew Valley
>Make the maps feel more interesting, it's sad that an Animal Crossing track in Mario Kart was so much more interesting than maps in the actual game
This please, but I know there will be bitching that the game is turning into Stardew.
all i want is more dialogue and the ability to send mail to friends even when theyre offline
GIVE ME ALL THE SUMMER FESTIVALS BACK FROM THE GAMECUBE.
WHERE IS MY SPORTS FAIR DAMMIT
How about a storage system overhaul. Why limit me? Why not just have nook open up a storage unit business and let me collect every item in the game like a psychopath?
looks like nook is the center of AV switch.
you might be in luck user.
>implying nintendo will let anything get in between isabelle and the spotlight
I was actually more focused on diversifying the cast (as in unique dialogue for everyone that fit their personality), but I hadn't even thought about villagers with unique designs like Kid, Ribbot, and the like. Noting that.
I'm mainly working on implementation first over dialogue so don't worry about me not knowing shit.
I refuse to want any more Isabelle pandering but you are absolutely right.
All i want is the GC version mixed with home design, from this thread you fuckers dont seem to understand how good AC for GC was
an actually game and not just a collectathon.
it could literally just be New Leaf HD and I would be happy.
Control over where Houses get built.
Also, no more Rolling pin. Go flat or go home.
>ability to create tourism videos to send to friends and share to the creation hub
I honestly fucking love this idea. Maybe even a lesser feature, being able to create post cards to send to people with screen shots you have taken.
You do realize grass patern is determined by season?
no. It's determined when you first make your town. It's either triangle, square, or circle. Each with its corresponding snow pattern.
The island grass pattern is also randomly determined between the 3
>Also, no more Rolling pin. Go flat or go home.
Why is this important to people? It doesn't really impact the game a tall. Also, i doubt theyll change it at this point, considering its been that way for 15 years.
I focus more on the layout but yeah I do take notice of the grass pattern.
triangles > circles > squares
>People wanting combat or real jobs.
How to instantly spot the fagot. What makes AC fun ISN'T the money making part, it's the simplicity of the game and the interactions of the world.
What the game has been getting worse at is villager personality and village customization. Villagers need more interesting and unique dialog and cusomizing your house and town needs a bit more depth and freedom.
I spent hours just getting a decent town layout with triangle grass, no pears, and a red or blue train stations since the steel beams stay after renovation
>People hating the rolling pin world.
I actually like it more than top down. I like being able to see the sky with the sun and moon and clouds. I like the ballon presents and how you can wish on stars on clear nights. Actually I wish they would bring back the observatory where you can make your own constilations again. That was fun and I feel like Celeste needs her own room instead of being a shop keep.
>What the game has been getting worse at is villager personality and village customization.
Not really, City Folk is still the worst on both regards. And village customization was the best it had ever been in New Leaf.
It's going to have tons of lgbt positivity and trump jokes isn't it
Big anime titties
I want villagers to dick me.
a public hanging of isabelle
dudes things would be better if you could determine between rolling log and linear map layout before starting the game. or dunno, have two files, one rolling pin, the other flat land.
nobody would ever complain.
basically just be the first game and add a fuck ton more content to it that makes coming back to it worth while. like more than just a neighbor and trash raiding simulator. be able to invite neighbors to activities like playing actual sports mini games that don't suck or go fishing with mechanics that aren't absolute shit. add wii sports to animal crossing and that's it. you're fucking done. it's not hard shit.
I thought I was the only one.
ALSO BRING BACK THE GRID
GRID WAS BETTER
I think that could be solved by giving a button for changing camera angles between old top-down style and looking skyward.
I don't want dating shit but I'd like the ability to become 'super best friends' with a villager or something. Basically walk around with him/her and participate in small minigames throughout the world together. Hell, make it a small entourage with 2-3 villagers.
I'd also like it if there were more landscaping options that let me change the layout of the ground itself, like adding more verticality to areas.
More dialogue and personalities.
I get sick of talking to the animals a week in because I've already read it all.
I miss when people would have to warm up to you and offer different things to say.
Also fuck having to wait for a villager to recommend a public works, it takes too long and is too RNG reliant.
Suggestions like these are stupid. Nobody wants fishing to be anymore complicated than it is. The appeal of animal crossing is that its simple and you can turn off your brain to play it. ITs what seperates these games form something like Harvest moon or Stardew valley.
I agree with all of this, aside the city comment. I am OK with a main street. Honestly can take it or leave it, but I appreciate that it exists.
I would also add more events, not just holidays either, but daily events, and long running events a la aerobics and sports fair from AC PG. Allow us to compete in that, too, I want to be able to prepare for events ahead of time, leading into the Skills point.
I also think that EVERYTHING from the previous games will be coming to AC 2019, the pocket camp furniture, the HHA qol changes. I wouldn't mind actually having a plot of land, rather than just a house, too.
The towns to look like the Mario Kart track minus the track.
>transitional forest between gate and other towns
>contains different areas with places to catch bugs/fish
>find villagers lost in the woods to invite to town
>caves with dig spots and cave bugs/fish
>sea exploration ala Wind Waker
It's too much to ask for but some adventure elements would keep the game from getting stale. Nintendo bls
