$10,000 USD in exchange for forgetting about every single game you ever played

Yay or nay?

not a chance

Yes then I can experience them all over again also probably be less of a hermit

I'd do it just to see how my personality changes.

As enjoyable as it would be to experience vidya again, without knowledge of vidya I won't appreciate them for their intricacies

Only $10,000?

It'd be cool to just experience stuff like Manhunt or Jet Set Radio again for the first time though.

I'm not paying that much. No way.

I'm not going to finish my current backlog in this lifetime. Wouldn't pay one dollar.

$10,000 isn't enough to live off while i replay all those games, so no.

Time is money. All that time you spent on video games isnt even close to that much in value.

Everyone would pay the 10,000 dollars and then never play the games they forgot, instead your backlog would increase a hundred-fold.

You know this to be true.

I'd take it, but man I'd be amnesiac as fuck since half of my life just disappeared from my memories.

>$10K to break the curse
I wouldn't have to come here anymore.

Hey if I want forget stuff there are plenty of hillbillies selling moonshine in my area for cheap.

Wait am I paying 10K to forget or am I being given 10K to forget?

yes, and it's spelled yea, not yay. mongo.

You wouldnt even have a love for games if you did that

I've never owned even half that much money, and doubt I ever will.

>get to experience every game you love for the first time all over again
>also get 10k
Shit man, I'll do it in a moment, just let me write down my list of what to try once I restart.

This. I think most of Yea Forums would love to forgot their games so they can experience them anew all over again so I assume it's a price paid, not a reward.

In any case honestly no. Decades of Vidya knowledge and history that I'd have to rebuild but without the added feeling of nostalgia and comfort that some series bring because they've been with me so long.

Like, I know objectively that Castlevania would still be an amazing experience but I can't imagine my childhood without periodic releases or discovering SotN with my PlayStation, etc. I don't think they'd mean as much now as they did then, even if the experience would be fresh and exciting.

user
you ok?

No.

Fuck no

Not worth it.

Video games shaped my life. They were some of my earliest memories that didn't involve trauma (dog bite and drowning in a pool when 2 and 4 respectively). They helped me fight depression by giving me something to take my mind off of my shitty school. I've even gotten a career out of them!
$10,000 for memories spanning across 30 years and almost every system and countless freeware titles is fucking bullshit.

Depends if I could make a list prior of "Shit you should play" before forgetting the games, or if I'd have to rediscover them.
