Going ninja on everyone is how I played as malk... until the end game at least, then you'll need to use firearms.
So, if you want "fun" play as malk just go with melee and stealth and have firearms at least on 3 so you don't suck completely in the end.
Therefore, Obfuscate is the only useful Malkavian only discipline you'll get as a Malkavian. Auspex is a meme and Dementation is useless at the end game.

Max dementation and put points into stealth. Obfuscate isn't really necessary because of how broken stealth is but you can use it if you want. I did guns with a couple points in melee as well just for Hollywood. Max dementation is a fucking blast, in stealth you can just instakill sentries with vision of death and then use hysteria on someone and feed on them to refill all of your blood. Bedlam is great for fighting groups with guns or melee.

each clan has about 4 disciplines because you carry on your thin blood powers for a total of 6 after you diablerize into your clan. most clans like toreador had less than 4 in the last game so this is a huge upgrade. not only that you can play the same clan with different thin blood powers each time giving more replay ability. whats also nice is that each clan has a unique power now as well and many previously useless of boring powers have been made better.

as for clans we know we are getting more as free dlc so it makes sense having all of the boring clans out of the way. i hope gangrel, noss, and lasombra get added in.

Clans like Nos and Gangrel almost necessitate unique gameplay and dialog. It's going to be shit however they include them into the game.

And Protean literally just deprecates previous levels of the discipline after 2 while Dominate and Dementation have incredibly little in terms of difference

They're not in it for the money, they're in game development because they want to push an agenda.
