What went right? What went wrong?
WHERE
IS THE UPDATE
>What went right?
Everything.
>What went wrong?
Nothing.
I loved playing it with my wife.
We spend tons of time on it, good memories.
If I want a terraria “creative mode” what would be the best mod to use?
>nothing
>blood moon
"Stay tuned because 2019 is going to be a huge year for Terraria with massive updates"
>make a fantastic game
>sell it for cheap
>eight years later, still updates it, with no DLC, as free content
>doesn't bend the knee to the chinks
God tier devs.
>What went right?
Everything.
>What went wrong?
me getting bored of it eventually
god I fucking hate that, why can I love a game so much at one time and then never wanna play it again after that
terrarias a good game but I wont play it again or atleast Ill take year or two long break
Terraria needs more italians
You are not playing Terraria correctly, sir.
that probably too, theres too many npcs so 90% of them get shitty commieblocks and I dont build any real cool things because I enjoy the fightan more
I built this house, but I'm worried the NPC's will die. Should I build more like this or just build underground to protect my NPC's? I'm playing on an expert world.
>what went right
Nothing
>what went wrong
No apache helicopters
Cute, but how can he go to the attic?
I dunno, but I thought it looked better with one.
It’s a legit good game but the updates take fucking forever. I also can’t wait for it to be ported to Switch, and hopefully that’s up to date too unlike the mobile version.
corruption/crimson spread ruins it
Mods
Have you ever considered forming an objective opinion? You might actually appreciate the game more.
I dont know anons opinion seems pretty objective to me, you could agree the game could be better but you couldsay the same for any other game that exists and as the game is right now there is absolutely no reason to call it a finished game it barelly has bugs, has huge fucking load of diferent game mechanics, has a huge bunch of game content and is very fun. So yeah if you ask me those questions i would say
>What went right?
Everything.
>What went wrong?
Nothing.
>what went wrong
Unironically too much post-wall content. Pre-hardmode plays exactly the same every single playthrough and hard mode bombard you with piles of stuff that is essentially interchangeable, like the different ores.
I suppose the music is too chirpy to enjoy after several hundred hours
>what went right
Everything else.
Agreed, and trying to prevent it is complete cancer.
I think the lovecraft references were a bad idea.
i don't like the reddit humor and references
NPCs dying is rarely a problem outside of bosses, and they respawn anyway so it's really not an issue. Build whatever you want. I'm pretty sure most people who don't care about aesthetics just make one tower that can fit every NPC
Inventory clutter
>right
the Yea Forums leak
>wrong
everything after how to touch a lady dev
>steam's moy kween
lol perché
the corruption/crimson spread isn't that bad before the wall, it becomes cancer when you start breaking demon altars since you have a pretty high chance of converting one random block in the world to corruption/crimson or hallow, making it impossible to find and clean
All progression has to have an endpoint, I'm sad I can't keep fighting more and more bosses and getting more and more armors and weapons and accessories in Terraria forever
>What went right
Apache helicopters
>What went wrong?
No tanks
nothing really went wrongthis game is pretty great and they have been selling it cheap for a long time and still updating it. i don't know what you could complain about.
>What went right?
Most of it.
>What went wrong?
MY 1.36 UPDATE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
You called, paisano?
Soon.
>paisano
rottinculo parla italiano
Quanto ti brucia is culo stasera?
>Right
Actual expansion on many classes, content scales well
>Wrong
Summoning is still meh, either needs options for a variety in what you use or the ability to have one big summon similar to the stardust dragon
Magic variety is weird, the pillar weapons are way more cool than the moonlord ones
Oh, also in wrong
Dual classing isn't really possible or all that feasible outside of having a summon to tickle the enemy passively.
>Summoning is still meh
Summoning is fine, but they really should have buffed things like sentries and most mid game summons.
>the pillar weapons are way more cool than the moonlord ones
Naw man, the prism of rape is just amazing and nothing can even remotely compare.
>Right
Most of stuff, the best being the great feel of progression where you turn from a puny, stick-poking dirt digger to a flying god of death that drills tunnels faster than an industrial boring drill.
>Bad
Defending Jungle from spreading biomes is cancer, I like the idea of spreading corruption in theory but it is just annoying and tedious in practice. Some of the harder bosses feel like they’re impossible to beat fairly in expert mode, making it necessary to use cheese-ish strategies with silly arenas.
Overall, the bad things are mostly nitpicking, the entire experience is certainly worth playing and replaying more than once. It’s also probably the best value game I’ve ever played, the price-to-quality-content ratio is insane.
viecce diocan
just download TEdit. Its surprisingly good for what it is.
>What went right?
Massive amount of content(with updates obviously), really nice pacing and progression.
>What went wrong?
Shitty menus, ugly as all fuck, early game combat is fucking shit.
>Summoning is fine
Oh it is, wanting to be able to use a variety of summons or the option for a single souped big boy is just a wish.
>Naw man, the prism of rape is just amazing
It's boring, same with the book. The fist shot is fun.
How do you guys deal with crimson/corruption without butchering your world just to contain it?
Either kill plantera ASAP to make the growth slow down, or just not give a fuck I guess
>The fist shot is fun.
But it's just a glorified gun with homing.
Don't get me wrong, I do use it and never leaves my hotbar, but the Prism is just much more satisfying to use, especially with that startup.
Don't destroy altars, speedrun to Plantera and make sure you have plenty of green solution.
Otherwise just edit your map, it's a pain in the ass either way and your map will never not look like swiss cheese.
Make a trap door for attic access until you get wires and actuators, then just actuate two blocks of a different wood type.
It's a great game, I just wish pre hardmode progression and early hardmode progression was a bit more meaningful.
wrong: yoyos, stormbow
In lategame, a lot of progression is rather meaningless since you can mostly just skip milestones and get better weapons easily. The same with the useless cactus and wood stuff that was added.
I also kinda dislike that most lategame progression is only through farming and exploration loses it's meaning. There is no real solution for that though, other than maybe adding another world later, like in Minecraft or SOTN.
>what went right
Updates even years after release
Modding community with multiple 'big' mods to further enhance experience and make up for delays in releases.
>What went wrong
Still no creative mode
No easy way to 'Corruption" proof a Jungle. Especially bad since IIRC the fucking world gen is coded to make it likely you have a Corruption chasm inside your jungle. This is an intentional choice; Crimson doesn't do it nearly as often
It twas the apache
>I also kinda dislike that most lategame progression is only through farming and exploration loses it's meaning. There is no real solution for that though, other than maybe adding another world later, like in Minecraft or SOTN.
This also somewhat combines with the fact that Underworld is so damn underutilized besides from having Wall of Flesh in it. You just dig there once you want to move to hardmode, kill it, and then most likely forget about the entire place after that unless you need some certain materials.
I dunno how I would use it better, considering that you really can’t move Wall of Flesh any deeper, but it still feels like a bit of a shame. Maybe there should be something below the current-day Underworld? Or a new location in some alternate dimension accessed through some portal?
How much of the new content is good? I stopped playing before they added minecarts and had a great time, but none of the new stuff I saw really drew me in.
Also do you think Terraria 2 will be good?
Anybody need Switch Beta codes?
I got a bunch of them we are testing multiplayer performance
wtf is 1.3.6 out yet ? My game still says 3.5.3.
>tried playing this game blind last month
>a shitton of monotonous cave exploring I guess
>eventually summon eye of cthulu and the big worm but I'm already overgeared for them because I didn't know how to do it earlier
>accidentally summon the wall of flesh and kill it anyways because I was also overgeared for it
>apparently that was the final boss
when does it get good
when you stop being retarded
Just summon the bosses earlier? It starts to get hard around the twins I'd say.
>accidentally summon the wall of flesh and kill it anyways because I was also overgeared for it
Bullshit. The hell generation will fuck you hard with the walls reaching up to the ash. No way you did it blind on accident.
What kind of build is that that you survive that?
Also good luck with this shit versus moon lord
Why contain it?
S'cool
it did fuckall damage, it just hugged me and put me on the other side of the walls a few times
This mod was nice, but they keep making new stuff that's kind of ridiculous. I liked it when it was just pets, a few interesting enemies that blended in with the game, and fun little items.
Probably the most amount of content I've gotten from a game for a few dollars.
Tienanmen Square
>everything about expert moon lord
>no update in forever
>hardmode corruption generation can absolutely butcher your world if you have bad luck
>the general on /vg/ is dead as all hell and is primarily posting about the party girl's horsecock
aside from that it's an incredible game
>What kind of build is that that you survive that?
Full Nebula Set
Lucky Destroyer Emblem
Warding Celestial Shell
Warding Worm Scarf
Lucky Eye of the Golem
Lucky Celestial Cuffs
It's a build for a self sustained, optimal Prism damage, Nebula buffs drastically enhance your stats and HP regen while Celestial Cuffs lets you regenerate MP for the damage you take, coupled with the raid bosses dropping a shitton of hearts you're literally an immortal laser spamming machine of death, the more they damage you the more you can spam, and the more you can spam the more you kill, and the more you heal, which creates an infinite loop.
>Also good luck with this shit versus moon lord
Matters little with the Nebula set, even in Hardmode as long as you keep walking in the usual tailor made arena you're still very much immortal as long as you know how to dodge
What mod?
