That poll is a bit misleading since a lot of people love to play portable mode in their home. Playing while lounging on the couch &/or bed is maximum comfy.

It depends on your lifestyle.
If you're on trains or planes for 10+ hours a week, having a portable game system is very nice.
Also playing in bed or while on vacation is great.

Polls are the complete opposite in Japan. Over there most people like to play games while they're sitting on the subway. Switch was Nintendo's answer to how fucked the global market is
