Nothing inherently, it's just a gimmick that does not enhance the quality or fidelity of audio. And usually people compromise on quality to actually get surround sound. In real life two quality bookshelf/floorstanding speakers will deliver far better audio fidelity than 5-7 cheap as shit speakers

And, if you notice the legs, are at the same position on the Tv stand, so its just bent wood.

They actually have some of the best TVs on the market when you take into account motion handling, contrast, peak brightness, etc. Really only Vizio beats them for non-oled TV's

Surround sound is overrated. It doesn't even make sense in third person games because you're watching the action take place in front of you, and for FPS games, stereo headphones provide a better sound in 3D space than actual surround sound headphones.
