It'd be nice if multiplayer games still allowed for community servers on top of official ones though, so every type of person has their own tailored community they can visit instead of cramming a whole bunch of random people who probably won't get along together in one server, but normalfags are also too retarded to figure out they can just leave and join a better server if there's too many obscenities for them.
The developer of a game can dictate what behavior they consider acceptable on their servers, which is fucking gay but that's the way it be when you rely entirely on fucking matchmaking. Here's the thing though, these studios will NEVER show you the banned word list because it would involve defining the useless term "toxic". Remember when ubisoft added insta-kicks to rainbow six siege for words like fag and nigger but when people said "okay fine, what else is on the kick list so we don't cross the line on accident" it was never made public and eventually they had to change the word filter system from auto kicks to certain flagged words. To my understanding they still haven't shown a concrete list of words they consider unsavory
I'm losing track though, this all goes back to this idea of a "toxic community" which is a term studios like to throw around a lot and incidentally by trying to remove players they consider toxic from their servers they have only created absolute breeding grounds for "muh toxicity" by making the servers and matchmaking all studio controlled and most matches become a temporary experience, you'll never encounter these players again. Sure you can't say "nigger" but you also don't have any reason to be polite to them either. It's also an ideal stomping ground for kids trying to grief and harass players for youtube videos because by the time a report makes it to the studio in charge and gets reviewed, the kid fucking around has already done this to 15 other matches when a community controlled server would have banned him already

Adding onto this, it's the reason most (if not all) games don't offer community server options anymore. They want you to play on their server with their rules.
On the bright side, if you haven't played any games with this type of matchmaking "one server/ruleset for all" shit it doesn't look like you're missing out on much. There haven't been too many recent multiplayer games that seem too interesting unless your a normalfag/e-sportfag.
