I gotta say, I didn't expect this thread to make me start questioning things like symbolism and philosophy and shit. I just, uh... honestly I just wanted to put Beedle in the random encounter list for a maritime-themed D&D game I'm running for my friends as a sort of gag cameo, and I was afraid I wouldn't have an answer if they asked, "How's his ship move?"

The barrels on the sides of the ship are full of beetles and Beedle can control the movement of a bowl of food inside each barrel to make the beetles move around and steer the ship.
