Say I have a suukantsu, where literally all tiles happen to be dora.
Is that still just a suukantsu yakuman, or do you get to count the kazoe yakuman too?

I intentionally included two relatively common yaku in the screenshot, because watching other players (streamers, friends, live games spectating) I see that for some reason people often scrap the option of chiitoitsu or simply don't even see it in the first place, even though it's a very good yaku, even if it is incredibly situational.

They just dont see the potential of that yaku yet.They will though, after get hit by a chitoi dora 2 damaten a couple of time.

You can set the timers to 60 seconds for big thinks, but generally speaking mahjong is a competitively fast-paced game

You can change the timer to 60 seconds which should be enough. For starters just pick a few easy yaku and only build hands towards those. Maybe if your hand has a particular shape, you can look through a cheat sheet if a yaku for that exists. (flushes, straight through or same thing in all suits.)

Did you read the whole chapter yourself? Daina clearly describes how many exactly is 'many', and if you get some kanchan wait like 57p, the chance of drawing 8 or 4p is not 'many', and drawing 5, 7, 9 or 3 would not be 'improving' at all. The examples like the linked picture are rare as fuck, even though this is an example of a hand that should've been kept dama, but it's really that way only because it has yaku tanyao and it's 5th turn. If it was, say, 9th and 456789s instead of 345678, that riichi would've been justifiable.

Yes exactly. Call 2 dragons early and make others fold. Even if they don't fold, if they draw the 3rd dragon, they have to decide between pushing against a yakuman or folding.

Effectively you have all the triplets or sequences you need to consider your hand a hand, but doesn't fulfill requirements to be a yaku, therefore you can't end the round. It'll qualify you for winning or tying by exhaustion, but that's it.

If you end up in No Yaku early, you can try and reshape your hand. Could go for a half outside, or all simples, or hope to get a dragon triplet or something.

Reminder that a single triplet of winds aren't a yaku if they aren't your seat wind or the prevalent wind. Thats what tripped me up in the beginning. Poning a wind I had nothing to do with. Valid for all triplet, all honors, all winds, etc, but not for a basic hand.

You either choose to or fold. If you draw the 3rd dragon, then those are your two options. You can try to keep it and still work towards tenpai, but good luck with that. This single tile will disrupt your hand so much, it probably won't be finished anymore. In other words, the one who called the two dragons just took you out of the game. One less opponent to worry about.

I'm not missing the point of anything. Anyone who is stupid enough to fight against an obvious Yakuman deserves to lose entirely. Calling dragons is fine and all, but don't pretend a no-ten victory is the same as getting your Yakuman.

Honestly, the odds of him having the third pair are slim and majsoul doesn't even have sekinin penalty afaik. I wouldn't throw out a live dragon after the point where that becomes generally dangerous, because even if he doesn't have them, some other nyagger probably does, but if some lucky faggot pons two dragons in the first two discards, I see no reason not to yeet the third.
