I don't have hobbies, unless you count browsing Yea Forums, watching anime, and masturbation as a hobby.

And video games are my main occupation, not a hobby.

beer

mostly just consuming other media.

movies, guitar, learning different crafts. learned how to ride a motorcycle the other week, that was pretty fun

Bowling and guns

I draw Loomis-free fetish porn

I don't understand the question

>Loomis-free
So tumblr "art"?

There’s plenty of issues, but big red noses and egregiously hairy legs aren’t part of them.

I like reading obsessively, really into running, gradually learning cooking. Games are really secondary to these things.

Attached: 5c5.gif (500x333, 569K)

occultism, board games, outdoors, guns.

Yea Forums, Yea Forums, /pol/ and discovering music I like; also I like to run.

I like to read but I'm rarely relaxed enough to do it. Drawing too but same issue.

Play guitar. Also pool. It’s fun sinking balls into the pockets.

Based, I'm these plus first half of Some real men of culture in this thread.

I like to cook, been baking a lot lately. I can't quite get pie crust right.
I read a lot of manga as well. I like manga a lot.

I like to read, but haven't found a book that's caught my eye in ages.

I LIKE TO EXPLORE I AM ANIMATED I LIKE TO EAT I AM A HUMAN

youtube.com/watch?v=McQ58nhhpHM

Programming, music, bodybuilding.

competitive dancer. cooking and baking.

Airsoft, RP, and Shooting
I sometimes write short stories for friends.

Attached: 1449805315064.jpg (840x840, 240K)

I play flute at a professional level for fun.

Running, working out in general, rock climbing, and trying to get into air shooting and bow shooting.
I do this so I can RP as a bowman in games, I literally cannot RP unless I do it in real life, like the time I fucking taught sunday school to play a faith character in DS1 thru 3 and arcane in BB

i collect doujin music and doujin manga. not necessarily adult manga, mostly old doujin comics i used to read back when i first got into touhou project

obviously i collect hdoujin too

I used to draw

This. It's not healthy but all other hobbies either require going out, routine devotion, or using your brain.

i paint 40k minis

I play piano and enjoy cooking/baking. I just made croissants.

>Loomis-free
Explain.

Play piano, practice music production, critically watch movies, discover new music and movie production with my bros

Thinking about starting a YouTube channel where I criticize other's bad critique, should I do it?
I'd call it The Critic Critic and I'd make all the music and art shit myself

i lift weights 3 days a week but i fucking hate it

Sounds fun, I'd check out your videos.

That's good and cute user, Good work.

larper

collecting/consumerism isnt a hobby.

Did you paint that? Is so, give tips. I have no idea what air brush to buy. I don't want to break the bank. Also, is it ok to use indoors? I don't really have a well ventilated place for spray paint.

>Go on a dating site
>Every woman on the planet is now apparently a world traveler, a wine buff, adores yoga and can't live without using the word adventure at least once

Make beer, play piano, go shooting at the range, table top shit including D&D, cooking.

How expensive was that? I don't want to start a collection, but it'd be neat to have one for my desk.

I larp. Which unsurprisingly just leads to talking about video games with people in person instead of online.

basketball and soccer, drink with friends, produce and listen to music

Any chicks there?

I research and write about tanks and military history in general, currently helping a game dev add some specific tanks to their game

Based trips of truth

I also draw and create drawings but that’s about it

Seconded on both accounts.

Though the only manga I feel like I'm really into at the moment are Dungeon Meshi and Berserk (every nine months that a chapter is actually released).

I want to get a fishtank, but I'm moving soon.

But I have no friends.
I could just a club, but I already know how it'll go;
>first day, nervous so act reserved
>spend next few day analysing people, their behaviour, etc.
>by the time im comfortable around these strangers to approach them, enough time has passed for groups to form

Love to cook. Also want to get into woodworking and knife making. Seems pretty cool.

I hope this is a joke user. The only thing worse than actual members of the military are the ones who LARP as them.

How the fuck do you people have time or money for hobbies? Fuck, even energy? Every day I finish my shift my legs feel like rubber and my back kills me and I just want to drown it all away in alcohol.

Attached: 1540620063922.jpg (631x595, 146K)

I'm trying to get into writing, but the idea of actually trying to get anywhere in the industry with it is pretty discouraging.

It very much is.

>spooky threads earlier discussing horror games get 404'd because of off topic posting sprinkled throughout

The jannies are fucking idiots

I play accordion/keyboard, do civil war reenacting, play D&D and miniature wargames, and hunt

Good taste. Dungeon Meshi updates more often at least. I'd make some recommendations but I'm barely awake. Manga about food and cooking tend to be really enjoyable though so the two hobbies mesh up well. Good night user I love you.

Not to sound like a broken record, but having a job you enjoy helps. You don't have to be excited to go everyday, but as long as you're not working for the weekend.
Or you can just pretend to have autism and collect NEETbux like a lot of people do.

My advice to you is try not to get anywhere in the industry and just see how your ideas perform

Be well user. You're a good egg.

>never played D&D but want to try it
>none of the local groups will let me join them because "you're new"

I don't even have a reaction for this bullshit elitism.

Which version of D&D? And is it expensive to get into hunting? I live in commiefornia so I'm sure I'd have to go out of state for anything good, but I've always wanted to do it.

Well that's not a hobby then, that's a job. Get into writing. Put out some stuff casually online. Distribute it some way because sure it's fun to share but remember it's a hobby. This isn't a professional aspiration. You don't need to be the best. You should just have fun.

Occasionally I write, workout, study for certifications, read manga, collect anime figures, swimming, skateboarding, cooking, and I want to get into rally cars now that I have some money.

Attached: 1550964306041.png (250x382, 154K)

I work in masonry which is tiring but really I just eat healthy and don't bother with alcohol at all, I'm usually pretty excited to play something after work.
Really video games are my only vice, so I have nothing but money for it. Though my house is a real shithole since I never bother cleaning beyond dishes and garbage.

Unless you're with friends or people whose company you enjoy it will be a shitty experience

Unfortunately it's hard to break into unless you can find a group. If your local game stores don't have groups for beginners it can be a pain. Well unless your a women then you can join any group. I play with friends at our places, but I've heard some horror stories and shit shows that happen at the D&D groups at our local game shop.

>Almost said conspiracy theories aren't a hobby

That's very cute. Is it easier to get into than other types of sculpting? I'd love to learn to make something like this but the lack of permanence would hold me back,

I collect coins and bills of all kind
Not recently though, as I'm broke as fuck

Attached: 22196140_1456549167762534_814610006341681733_n.jpg (890x636, 154K)

I don't.
I used to write, but I only ever write about my FEEEEELINGS, and I'm the same neurotic wreck I was at 14, so it's gotten painfully old for me to write about.

Fair enough. I'm just trying to build up the discipline to actually finish something at the moment. I've written short stories in the past and had countless ideas over the years, but it takes me ages to get anywhere with anything longer, and I'm too quick to abandon old ideas for new ones.

So I'll be happy to actually finish a full length project that I'm happy with, even if it's just for myself.

>it's hard to find a group unless you can find a group

Golly fuckin' gee user, how helpful. Maybe it's better I stay away from D&D if the only people that play it are egotistical autism-lords.

5e mostly, but I still end up in 3.5 campaigns from time to time
Hunting is super cheap here in Michigan as tags are about $30, the most expensive part is getting a deer butchered. I usually split the price with my brother-in-law and give him much of the meat since my wife won't touch deer meat.

I'd like to get into drawing or painting. I started with loomis but it quickly became less about fun and more about me having to learn drawing.

I did enjoy it though. Think I might get back into it.

drawing

Anime and languages

I REALLY hope you are in the military instead of larping as one

I have the same problem, not finishing what an idea I started. But even if it turns to shit or you get disinterested at least give closure to your stories and I think you'll grow as you do this.

Yeah, I just can't help but daydream over the idea of making a living off of something I actually enjoy someday, even if I'm not naive enough to believe that I'll make some huge literary classic.

Sorry it's pretty late where I am so I didn't proof read my post. If you can't get friends to play then I wouldn't bother. A lot of people at game stores take shit way too seriously. At least if my friends being a retard while playing I can slap him without being ejected from the building.

Based /ic/ poster not using Loomis.

robot toys, wrestling, movies and books.

Keep drawing and you'll get better. Honestly the best way to learn is to either use a sketchbook or graphics tablet and do a drawing a day. It can be a reference piece, it can be anatomy/practice with proportions, but one a day will get you far. An easy way to get started is just draw a character from whatever game you're currently playing if you can't think of anything else. You can look back through the sketchbook and see your progress/things you'd like to improve.

I've gotten to the point that I have so many coins that the things left are the most rare and expensive stuff like pic related.
That single gold coin from Colombia is worth a console with a few games, is that really worth it?

Cooking, exercise and reading. I really want to start a creative hobby though.

That's honestly really cool user, thanks for sharing. What makes it so expensive, literally just the material or was it a limited run?

Drinking and masturbating to anime girls

Well that's called ambition. Approach it as a hobby at first, enjoy yourself, get good, practice by having fun. Distribute a bit casually, low pressure. Maybe get some fans even. Then use that ambition to see if it's a viable idea or not. The first part is win win, the second you lose nothing.

I like singing and taking photos with my camera wherever

I read ancient literature. Working on learning Greek and Latin, I play a lot of wind instruments and I'm starting to learn how to make beats with some stuff my little bro has taught me. Trying to improve my writing but it is slow going. Technically I do weight lifting but I just do the bare minimum so I don't get completely out of shape between work and school.

I'm also in a volunteer-oriented cosplay group.

I try to keep constantly busy to keep the BLACK PIT OF DESPAIR away.

Ya'll have some cool hobbies,

The grime is part of their charm. Every cell of typhoid is a blessing from Mother Bodho.

$60 for the specific kit, ~$10 for a stand, his is painted but it isn't required. Gunpla kits range from $20~$300 depending on the scale/grade and suit.

You just posted that to bait me, don't you?

>What makes it so expensive, literally just the material or was it a limited run?
Both, gold is always expensive as fuck. Sometimes a coin was minted less during a particular year and that adds the price for that year. It's just supply and demand.

Attached: 34s.jpg (708x708, 41K)

nutthing on ya momam tittis

I've always liked the idea of writing. But media in general has the underlying issue of accepting that even if an unknown person gets lucky and strikes gold with an idea, that the chances of people seeing it and giving it a chance are always going to be based around a certain amount of luck.

The only thing I've made that's garnered any attention at all was a weird text-based RPG Maker game for a niche fetish. Life's weird like that.

It's very easy to get into. You can download a model simple enough to cut out with scissors and do it with no great difficulty given you take your time and follow instructions. Just cut, fold the tabs, and lines, then glue.

If you really want to get into, get a small applicator so you can precisely squeeze out elmer's glue. Use an x-acto knife to cut. Get some tweezers, use heavier paper (I use 120 gsm for just about everything).

I can tell you have dota or LOL up on that and it pisses me off.

Not bad advice. I think part of my issue is that I went into it starting too big, and got burnt out chipping away at a massive story from the get-go. And haven't really thought about how to distribute smaller projects beyond that in a way that anyone would care to see.

Your ability to recognize it pisses ME off.

i've played guitar for a long time
made music with computers since FL Studio was still called "fruity loops" and adobe audition was called "cool edit"
i have a couple good cameras and take some sweet pictures but i wouldn't call myself a photographer
i can't really draw well but some of my friends think i draw cool shit, but it's not really that good.
my dad got me into tabletop gaming and that's pretty neat with friends IRL in person

i tell people i'm into hiking/kayaking/mountain-biking but i honestly barely do that except a hike with my gf every couple months (we used to do it more though).

i sort of want to collect battletech minis, but not enough to dedicate space in the house to it.

I draw a bit when i can be assed to.

>FL Studio was still called "fruity loops"
When the fuck did it get changed? And why? Lawsuit from Kellog's?

The "pla" in Gunpla stands for "plastic model." It's not a figure, you have to build and paint them.

Garage Kits separate the men from the boys. It is definitely a hobby when you're expected to paint and make your own stand for your models.

Buying figures is just blatant consumerism though. The greatest trick that jews played on western civilization is making them think consuming media is an actual hobby.

I haven't enjoyed or gotten into any of my hobbies in years.

Lifting 4 times a week, taking care of my garden and beekeeping.

True enough. Just need to find the time and build up the habit to work on something a little bit every day.

Depression, alcoholism and stealing my parent's money.

I really like reading and drawing.

CIA

What the fuck? Yes it absolutely is you dumb fucking retard.

I knew a guy who wanted to get into writing so badly he took any writing gig, almost all of his work is dry manuals on how to put together furniture and the legalese that nobody reads in those manuals. It's soul rendering work.

I'm a huge nerd for both film and music. Both artsy stuff and mass-produced. I like to write analyses for most stuff I watch, play, read, or listen to.
Disregarding media consumption, I collect figurines, toys, and playing cards, with Transformers and Yu-Gi-Oh! taking up most of my collection.
I'm also very interested in history and would have majored in it if I weren't so good at computers instead, which equals higher pay. Might become a history teacher in my late 50s when tech companies decide they don't want me anymore.

I have a lot to do.

I have a passion for music. I make music and collect records and like to travel to attend shows and festivals. I also like programming, but working as a programmer kinda killed that as a hobby.

Other than that I like reading.

I don't have hobbies, I don't even play games anymore. I just go to work and get high afterwards. Also zero social life.

Tabletop gaming, programming (tho that's less of a hobby and more resume building at this point), and I crochet sometimes too.

Nothing else that doesn't consume media.

I just take my dogs out for walks cant even watch movies anymore because my ex aint paid for her netflix in like two months

riding my boyfriend's fat cock

I watch anime, but that doesnt really count as a hobby.
I like to drawfag but I'm not particularly good at it and I often dont know what I should be drawing. Still, I enjoy it and try to do it regularly.

This and guitar

I've been learning to play guitar for the past few years, its a lot easier than I thought and can play pretty much anything I hear now. Also there's a top notch skate park about 10 minutes from my apartment, I shred it up on the weekends with my boys.

I like reading but I really like cooking. I'm middle management in a kitchen, it's just a high end burger joint type deal but that means I get to cook fun stuff at home and not feel like "why the fuck am I doing this, this is what I do 60 hours a week."

also craft beer if that could be considered a hobby

Beer, cars, guns. Mostly gmt400 chevys and AK rifles. Think i have 8 or 9 rifles, Currently working on a 2 door Tahoe and my fun vehicle. Daily a Suburban.

I make Doom levels in my free time but I've yet to upload them to the public

Software development (C++/C)
Alcohol (Vodka/Vodka/More Vodka)
Amphetamines (Mostly Vyvanse)
Server management (GNU/Linux)
Sex (I've been in a serious relationship for 2 years)

unless you're the one actually crafting the beer that doesn't count

I play guitar and read a fair amount. Started up a blog recently, it's fun to write random shit and pretend like you know what you're writing about. Apart from that I just work and waste my day away on the Internet. My life is very boring and unfulfilled

i dont really enjoy any of my hobbies anymore
used to enjoy making music but i cant make more than 20 seconds of a song before getting stuck and closing it
still cant fucking draw
cant sing
dont have a job anymore
just play runescape twelve hours a day and sleep the other twelve

"Hold on, yeah, yeah... Okay ill tell him."
Hey /ic/ just called, he said he's coming to kick your ass

Cycling and Graffiti

None.
I'm an actual, bondafide autist and it's difficult for me to give enough of a shit about anything to actually put any real effort into it or to care enough beyond "hey that sounds neat",daydreaming about it and then never doing anything. Vidya just happens to be the one thing my sperg brain latched onto.
I've always wanted to get into cooking more though, seems like a valuable skill to learn. That and music. Not really interested in starting a band or anything but I've always liked the piano.
Just don't have anywhere to put one I guess.

I just picked up the piano like two months ago and I'm 24. It's just a hobby, if you discover that you have an actual talent or you work very, very hard for a very long time then yeah you can make something of it, but the point is that it should make you happy above everything else.

Don't worry about it being "too late" you dumb little bitch, do what the fuck ever.

eating boogers and collecting nail clippings

I'm the same age and managed to learn how to play the guitar a few months ago.

It's never too late, user. It just takes a lot of practice.

I want to get into it for real but I don't really have the space for a dedicated airbrush set up

Pic related is what I made few years old,
haven't got time to build another one since then.

the best time was ten years ago
the next best time is now

i've been having the same issue with time and money, but i've been using what free time i get to clean around the house and do my drum rudiments at work and renting a practice space to drum when i can. so far it has been both cheap and manageable and makes me feel good
and honestly having some time off to rest is never a bad thing after work, so don't feel bad for it

I don't even think video games are a hobby for me, considering how little I actually play them.
All my other hobbies just faded out one by one late last year and I haven't recovered yet.

I do Muay thai twice a week and lift. Trying to get into programming but being a brainlet makes it difficult to even start sometimes.

I read manga and brainstorm a lot about potential novel ideas. Can't find the motivation I had years ago to put pen to paper but hopefully I'll find it some day after I fix my health issues.

how do i enjoy my hobbies again lads

All kinds of table top from board games to RPGs, forestry, cycling, couple of instruments(guitar(bass, accordion, saz and tin whistle) and I also research history in my spare time because I don't currently have a job in my field (history and archeology). Would like to start drawing also but if I'll have the time for it and I'm incredibly bad at it.
