DEATH STRANDING

>Sam is made to be a blue collar guy, nothing really special about him other than being able to come back from void outs
>he is fragile, he will need to rest from time to time and probably eat, drink and sleep on the way to his objective
>you will need to balance the weight of the packages you will deliver. Wanna have a set of extending stairs or anchors? You will need to sacrifice some packages for that due to weight
>you will need to plan your route, should you take the path with no elevations that takes longer and leaves you open for attacks from bandits and BTs or traverse through the mountains with stairs/anchors but have the risk of falling with all your cargo?
>cooperation may be vital, maybe this "strand" Kojima talks about is basically each player doing their best to leave resting places (places other players will pass through) with one or two packages (containing food or water?) to make other Sam's journeys easier
>maybe supplies will be so scarce during the journey that help from other players will be VITAL
>if the hands catch you, they will drag you to the nearest BT
>if the BT catches you, it will trigger a void out, sending you to HADES
>in Hades, you lose all your equipment and have to get it back
>literally fighting and sneaking around hell version of a battle that has no end and happens across all human history
>mads is in there and he will hunt you down with his dead soldiers

Is this confirmed?

>mads is in there and he will hunt you down with his dead soldiers

Its heavily implied or theorized that the baby Mads is talking to at the end is Sam, so why would he need to hunt him?

The question would be why? Why bother doing a walking simulator that seems inherently annoying and dependent on co-op?

Is Kojima going to livestream his own suicide and say "YOU WANT GOOD WRITING? YOU CAN HAVE IT! I LEFT ALL THE RESOLUTIONS TO MY DROPPED PLOT POINTS IN ONE PIECE!"

>nothing really special about him
That’s where you fucked up

this game's gunna be a huge flop

Stop with the hades shit, the plave you go when you die is the fucking water environment. Forcing you to fight through an entire local upon every death would make the game unplayable

You got mads part wrong too. If he comes out in the BT, you would also be implying that Guillermo is dead when in fact he isn’t in that scene. The BT’s can controls machines so that’s a reason why the tanks are moving.

its literally gonna be metal gear survive 2 and all you nerds who hated survive are gonna cry your eyes out that its 2hard4u

Terminal 7 "The bad guys are the good guys and the good guys are the bad guys and Luigi has cancer and it's all a dream" logic.

And yet in these games you never really can just go with the true hero.

I mean one game did pull that off fine, Far Cry 4. Sort of. Once you escape from Pagan Min's Lunch you CAN'T go back with the soldiers who are trying to clear up the misunderstanding(they will shoot at you despite saying it's a misunderstanding), but if you stay at the lunch for 15 or so minutes you'll get an ending where Pagan Min thanks you for waiting and you get to bury your mom's ashes without fucking everything up over a misunderstanding

youtube.com/watch?v=JnCed-hb53E

That water environment is in the real world idiot. The game’s PS4 page literally states that you are sent to another world (most likely where the BT roam). Now tell me exactly where does that imply the real world

The Hads mechanic is fucking stupid if you wouldn't add that in it would have been more realistic that this is a leak. Kojima is someone who plays multiple times through his own games during development and i don't believe that he thinks that this mechanic is fun.

His name is literally Deadman

Intentional tediousness is the hat DS is wearing, and proudly. Let's see if there's a point to it

It shows you in the fucking trailer. It literally shows you in the fucking trailer

Not everything, I think that the Sam part is pretty much on point, Kojima wants to make a normal guy having to survive against things that are way to much for him.

Not really, Kojima himself described Sam as a blue collar guy, his only "power" is being able to come back.

Doubt it.

Maybe the "water world" is Hades, we only saw the environment under the water in the 3rd trailer.

>you got the Mads part wrong too
Come on, we are all speculating here, this could be fucking MGS 0 for all we know, also, death does not mean much in the world is what Kojima said, I think Guilhermo ended up being hit by a void out and was sent to Mads realm just like Sam

Attached: sam.jpg (1280x720, 163K)

The reference to hades is just an engrish translation meant to say that some people live a nightmarish existence. The game isn't even about hell, it's about modern overreliance on the internet leading us into personal isolation

It's MGS 0, and BBS 0, and the 0 to something else as well.

HUMAN LIFE. IT ALL COMES FROM WATER, DON'T YOU SEE? DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? ARE YOU NOT AN HONEST MAN?

I know but some people aren’t even referencing their game names

Do you see any good reason the Hades mechanic is true?

cringe

>walking simulator
>plenty of action and world interaction already shown in the game
How does it feel to be a fucking retarded moron, annon?

Wait a second. Ok yes his names deadman but if you’re implying that he has died in that scene then it wouldn’t make sense on having the BB’s since if we were to assume that to revive in the game the BB’s would be used up once inside your body but Deadman isn’t in that circumstance

But Sam trips and fighting is not his strong suit. It's a game about running the fuck away while assholes try to ruin your package.

So defensive over a game that hasn't even released yet holy shit

You are not supposed to keep on dying though, you need to plan yourself for that.

I don't know if Kojima would be that abstract about it. Heard some theories saying that the center of the Web in the BRIDGES logo represents a real location, and that the location actually points to the biggest military cemitary in the DC area.

Attached: military cemetery.png (868x213, 25K)

Let me guess, One Piece is actually the friends you made along the way to find it, but actually it's just aliens, right?

There are literally fish in the water and the whole environment looks exactly like earth’s. If it’s the other world it would be the BT’s and that big thing you see is just a BT roaming above water, also you see Sam’s lobe which is the same one that connects BT’s. Following on, the scene where it shows Sam looking at the crater and the five entities being present also shows traces of either water or the BT’s black stuff, although the black stuff only occurs when BT’s sense prey, therefore the logical assumption would be that it’s water (The same water Sam was in which you are talking about)

Could just be that Norman and the baby share memories when connected together.

>>he is fragile, he will need to rest from time to time and probably eat, drink and sleep on the way to his objective
Death Stranding is totally not Kojima's version of Metal Gear Survive, honest!
>in Hades, you lose all your equipment and have to get it back
Death Stranding's Hades is totally not Kojima's version of Metal Gear Survive's Dite, honest!

Right now I am only taking the latest trailer as reference. The japanese version shows Sam being eaten by the shark BT and an explosion happens. Then Sam appears in HADES.

Of course, Kojima could be fooling us into believing that is what happens.

Attached: those who cannot break the connection.png (1224x686, 1.07M)

The alternate BT world is a reverse: up is down, air is water, water is air, life is death, etc. So when you get taken to it you end up in an ocean environment and then fall into the sky. BT's when brought over have the same experience, which is why the bugs float into the sky after reedus throws them up

>implying survive wasn't stolen from him in the first place
You have your pachinkos konami, so go away.

That’s not the only thing. Use your ears and eyes. Sam literally says he can sense BT’s twice, and the second time that it was told one of the other characters stated that the bandits are wise to not interact with BT’s since the rain (timefall) is linked to them. The other special thing about Sam is that he can’t be affected by the timefall unlike other characters. The Death stranding wiki states this as well as the trailer hind this, although I might be wrong and he is affected since those bugs that pop out his mouth are used to deter the affects of timefall

>tfw Kojima talked about his ideas for a new IP (Death Stranding when) he was still with KONAMI and they used whatever they could in MGS SurVive

Attached: ohnonono.jpg (599x804, 44K)

Was Meta Gear Survive Konami's fuck you to Hideo?
He probably pitched them ideas for Death Stranding for years before leaving so after he left they figured they could half-ass some of them together like this and release it before his game is ready.

Nope “hell” or whatever it may be, is the where the BT’s inhabit, essentially meaning that they are undead that have risen. The connection part is true but it’s not about technology isolation and more to do with cooperating with others who are different to us.

HOW DO I COPE WITH NOT HAVING A PISSER 4?

Attached: 1531452241903.jpg (1345x750, 181K)

Nice fanfiction. It's gonna be a shitty walking sim with a cool mindfuck story

I'm fairly convinced that Metal Gear Survive and Death Stranding are both based on the same original project at Konami. There's too much overlap. Survive takes its central thematic influence from Dante's Divine Comedy. Virgil, Dite, and the other circles of hell. There's a focus on survival, mysterious grey fog, etc. Death Stranding is a slicker project. But when you step back it reeks of being based on the same foundation. It has the exact same obsession with the underworld/hades/hell that Survive did. Getting sucked into Hades/Dite (the 7th through 9th circles of hell) and losing your equipment? That can't be a coincidence.

I know that, but I believe that being able to sense BTs in that world is not really "special", I mean, Fragile is has "Extinction Factor" that lets her sense and SEE the beached things, and she is not even the main character.

That is why I said Sam is supposed to be normal, at least in that environment.

Attached: sue.jpg (461x460, 59K)

BT’s don’t fall from the sky they are connected to undead spirits. the lobes don’t come out the sky

Buy one, the standard is pretty cheap.

It is special if the baby’s can do it

Stop being so proud and buy one; buy pre-owned, never refurbished.

In one of the trailers he gets a drop of water on his bare hand and it ages his skin. I also don’t think he’s immune because he still wears a rain jacket, and time fall storms may be part of a possible dynamic weather system like we saw in mgsv.

Survive is literally a game about being STRANDED in a desolate future destroyed by nanomachines that never learned the meaning of DEATH. The nanomachines aren't evil. They just don't understand death. So you have to teach them the meaning of death in order to stop them. That's exactly the kind of plot twist I expect Death Stranding to have.

Also, the shared co-op stuff in Survive feels like a vague, vague prototype of the social connection stuff Death Stranding seems to be going for.

Then he must have take the bugs then

>trying to deliver a package
>had a good amount of cargo on me at the beginning
>some yellow guys scan me from afar and start throwing spears at me
>lose some packages but manage to make a escape since they turned their attention to them
>it starts raining
>i need to pee
>bt monster gets me and blows me up
>go to Hades and escape without retrieving all my packages because Mads fucked me up
>got to a resting point finally

Goddamn white women are ugly.

Since this game is going to have long bits of walking and is also going to be largely hud less I'm assuming Sam is going to be talking to himself/the player. Letting us know how thirsty he is or how much his feet hurt, or yelling at people as he sees or runs away from them. I like to imagine Sam has a big mouth and when he was hiding in the bushes the player didn't cover his mouth so Sam yelled some shit at the hazmat sith causing the player to run away.

Maybe he talks to an imaginary friend about classic movies during his travels.

I said fall into the sky you literal retard

I feel like the game is going to be covered in Cheesy one liners

Yes, but about the content of my post: any ideas?

OP here, while I am really excited for this game, I can't help wondering how Kojima will make it not boring after a while. I mean, even with the possible attacks and BTs showing up on the way, I don't know if it will be enough.

If I am not wrong he did say that there will be secondary objectives and such, maybe those could help with the player interest.

He is probably gonna have a music player like MGS V so you can listen to "Assylum for the Feelings" forever.

Attached: junji.jpg (1500x735, 559K)

The weird thing about OP is that given all the stuff OP is implied to be I wonder if it might be better for the Strawhats if the treasure was just the friends they made along the way.

Since it's not a shitton of gold like Luffy wants, it's something Buggy and Whitebeard would much rather stay away from, and it's supposed to turn the world upside down.

Seems like a trap of some sort to me. If it were a mere doomsday device that Gol D Roger wanted to activate he'd activate, but for one reason or another he needs a pirate to come along, one to brave all the suspicious increasingly hostile obstacles along the way.

I don't know. Seems like a trap

Yes.

I am not gonna play a game with Junji Ito monsters holy SHIT no

Man it really looks like it.

FUCK KONAMI

They're all going to have the lame made-of-black-goo aesthetic, aren't they?

>GOO SHARK
>GOO SHARK WITH TENTACLES
>THE TENTACLES HAVE HANDS
no!
>crystalline gold flowers activated by time rain
>blossom into hands
NO
WHAT DO THE HANDS MEAN

It means that while dreams to some people are metaphors, metaphors to dream people SUCK

Kojima ended up inviting Junji Ito to check out Death Stranding. I really wish that was not all and Junji actually has a hand on the design of the BTs.

Attached: ito and kojima.jpg (860x430, 101K)

The upside down world is most definitely hell. It wouldn’t make sense that everything would be upside down when dead but when you come back to the living it would turn back to normal. The word living would have to be replace with reality in order for everything being flipped to be true

Attached: B00CB8BD-577D-4A10-9744-5432A81D7361.jpg (985x1105, 119K)

We see on the action wheel a pee option. What does pee do? In MGSV horse poo caused cars to skid and crash so pee must do something.

why is the rain black and why is there so much fog, is this some sickdark shit?

jESUS FUCKING CHRIST IT'S THE SORROW FOR AN ENTIRE GAME

Yeah it;s way too sickdark for you bro

It means we see Norman Reedus pull out his cock and take a steaming hot piss. Kojima said we will see everything of him.

I wasn't paying close enough attention to know if you're memeing or not, but we've seen people kill themselves multiple times in the trailers, so: maybe we have a tazer and we piss onto it as a kind of Bite Down/L-pill?
Hope you have your tranq gun at the ready.

it makes you pee

There's been a lion boss and now a shark boss. What other bts you guys think we'll get.

Idiot. It was Kojima who worked on that project at Konami, Hideo was always focused more on the design side of things.

Do you think Reedus' model will have a FULLY MODELED PROSTATE?

PULSE POUNDING BRIEFCASE COMBAT.

Probably fake and gay, but awesome if true

Both there being a pee command in the ds action wheel (ladder scene i think) and the horse shitting mechanics in V are true.

Mantis.

Attached: 0g3Mtdd.png (897x555, 636K)

That’s most likely the supernatural environment brought upon by the BT’s (the black spirits/undead)

The translation is closer to after life.

You know what, the icon doesn't really look like Sam, it looks like BB. I don't know, it could be part of the survival mechanics or just something that BB needs to do from time to time.

Attached: mads1.jpg (720x960, 90K)

I seriously think they're all whales, even the giant humanoid colossus in the TGS trailer. Beached Things anyway, the lion thing that Higgs summoned seemed like his own deal.

Attached: Higgs & Boson.webm (1280x712, 2.6M)

Eagle would be cool. King of land, sea and sky.

So, we will never really see other Sams running around, we will only be able to help others by sharing routes, safe spots and items.

Attached: strands.jpg (640x722, 46K)

Maybe. It does have a gold mask that the whale lacks.

Why is Kojima making a sickdark game?

Will it be locked behind plus?

Man that 2017 trailer is still fuckin incredible.

Ghost Sams maybe, like in Demon's Souls.

Attached: SamWheat.jpg (461x455, 41K)

there are at least two different 'afterlife' dimensions, the 'hades' battlefield and the upside-down-underwater one. possibly they are the same (and there are possible hints at this) through some transformation mechanic, but I would expect this to be scripted rather than dynamic (eg. occurring after a certain point in the plot, or perhaps tied to a morality system?).

we have no idea what the 'dead' mode gameplay is like other than that it's first-person, and it is a confusing thing to consider, as it would seem to necessarily be some type of failure-free game mode, as described. This made some sense when we knew it as the upside-down-underwater dimension where you wander around collecting your gear, but not at all for Hades, where we have in fact seen third-person, combat gameplay, in the most recent trailer.

we still desperately need a proper gameplay trailer to make sense of this.

The trailer showed bright blue footprints. Probably footprints to follow instead of ghosts.

Was first person confirmed? Those parts in the lat trailer didn't look like gameplay.

The water is purgatory.

It was confirmed a while back in an interview Kojima did detailing parts of the game. He mentioned an underwater reef in first person where you can collect your equipment.

Which whale are you implying because all the beasts shown so far actually have remnants of the gold Higgs uses otherwise the physical caricature of those beasts wouldn’t exist. The gold holds them together well clumps the BT’s together to form the beasts

He's following his dreams.

Attached: 1559510571673.png (1252x650, 1.23M)

user are you okay

No those blue footprints are player while the organs shown on both the bandits and BT’s are enemy

I feel like there's different types of death maybe? Like if you die to some humans or falling off a cliff, remember the absolute mad lad Sam walking across a chasm on a ladder and he's coated head to toe in packages in that E3 trailer? I feel like for "safe" deaths you'll go underwater. If you get BT'd you go to hell.

He seems to have wanted to make one for a long time seeing Silent Hills, certain levels of MGSV, and MGSV's concept art which shows that MGSV was supposed to have an eerie and creepy tone.

Attached: 1554996390017.jpg (642x707, 141K)

Shut the fuck up retard I’m fine just have a better speculation than half the retards here.

Probably.

Yeah, Sam himself ended up having his path highlighed, maybe other play could see it.

>possibly they are the same
I also think that, I believe that right after the void out you appear in the pool of water that is shown in the 3rd trailer. You see everything in first person in order to make finding these items easier, but you can probably switch between them since the latest trailer showed Sam walking around outside of water in first person.

Attached: mads2.jpg (720x960, 76K)

Yeah. And that's what other players see.

Would you mind elaborating, then?
>all the beasts shown so far actually have remnants of the gold Higgs uses
I don't recall seeing gold on any of them.
>otherwise the physical caricature of those beasts wouldn’t exist.
"Caricature"? And this conjecture seems completely baseless.

That would make sense but how would that impact the multiplayer aspect. Does it tell other players that you are in the same area as they are or is it something like dark souls

Higgs summoned that thing out of the black stuff though, it seemed fundamentally different from the Beached Things which swarm you with the dead and then drag you to their real body.

>Which whale
The one you fight. Follow reply chains better.

The asynchronous multiplayer probably depicts other players (playing as Sam) as nameless couriers in the network.

Probably the dark souls part. You see other players went off a certain direction and can choose to act based on that.

>I don’t see gold
The four legged beast, the large Titan (his head has it) and the kraken from extra footage (that same kraken is probably the one you see in the underwater part). Regardless those physical entities can only be like that with the gold being used to summon them otherwise they would just be normal transparent BT’s

Would be something like showing other players the "safe" path through an area. While orange footsteps show its a difficult area to go through or some moron got chased following those blue marks.

The Dark Souls part to me is the safe houses, which will likely show some silhouettes while at doing shit in a safe house similar to seeing people near a bonfire

OH FUCK

>when Sam dies and goes to the water world in Trailer 3 there are Strands coming from him
>every set of Strands we see going up the sky on the game points to the location that player died

Attached: ....png (1313x538, 94K)

oda confirmed a while ago that one piece is a physical object, not some "the real treasure was inside you all along" cop-out

>kraken from extra footage
There's no gold on that.

Forget about the caricature word, thought it was another word for entity but i was wrong.

He used his gold mask to summon the beast. Rewatch the trailer again

>literally fighting and sneaking around hell version of a battle that has no end and happens across all human history

Good post. This sounds really cool especially. Man you guys really piece this shit together fast, I have been reading a lot of theories and they all sound damn good.

I never noticed the gold on that titan thing's head, interesting. It could be a distinction between natural BTs and ones summoned by Homo Demens.

On second look, I DO see it on the kraken. Tentacles.

Is not a shark, like some people are suggesting

Attached: shark-vs-dolphin-dorsal-fin.png (500x415, 51K)

I know, I'm just saying he pulled that out of thin air, compared ro the whale in the forest which appeared to be acting on its own.

People catch a lot. Like Heartman carries a defibulator on him. And from that people concluded he flatlines himself to temporarily visit the afterlife.

yeah it's darksouls interactions, kojima is just trying to give the it a name and convince us it's a new genre he's inventing like stealth for metal gear

It’s 6 in the morning I’m not fucked to follow the chains. Inb4 “but you have the strength type this long as posts” wel I don’t care.

Back to point, the kraken I stated in my post is the whale you were on about. Although I think it’s a kraken since whales don’t have fins on top of their body unless I’m wrong on this

I dont.

Most definitely also forgot to mention the gold stuff (well I think it’s similar) is shown on Cliff when he rises from the BT liquid

>that first teaser
Imagine if we get to go to the moon in this suit, and you get to be some fucking badass with powers. Call me a pleb but I hope this shit goes full anime.

Killer whale is what I hear most.

youtube.com/watch?v=eD1ywoL19g0
On its tentacles, and on its underside. It's actually really prominent, I don't know why I didn't notice this before.

Look closer and you would see specks of gold

It's confirmed you obtain and use Ludens gear. Maybe it's end-game kind of stuff.

Looks like BTs are fond of gold, they may be from some kind of jewish race.

Rape is back on the menu.

I can't imagine this is just going to be a stand alone game either. I'm hoping Kojima learned a lot from MGS, if he decides to make another saga. I love MGS but we all know there is plenty of flaws.

Seems like the "social stranding" modern isolation angle he's working is tied in to the concept of whales beaching themselves and dying.

Attached: Mass Stranding.jpg (818x481, 182K)

Isn't it more than just whales though? Also other fish too?

And whales stranding themselves is a good reason to not be connected to others.

Someone sure is a cranky pants.

god almighty Cliff lighting the cigarette with the embers in the air and tossing it into the pool of oil was such fucking KINO

Oh damn it's coated in gold flecks, I watched that so many times.

Sam: Covering the world in cables didn't bring an end to war and suffering...

What did he mean by this? At first I thought "Damn, are the cables connected to sea life men made?", but them I heard people saying it is a reference for the IT boom.

Attached: mads.jpg (1280x720, 74K)

Read The time wanderers you will see why the Ludens are such a big deal in the game. Also there’s a book I can’t remember but if anyone remembers that DelTaco fag he said that the plot was inspired by books. yes I know he was fake but some stuff he states is actually true, with one being die hard man as the commander for BRIDGES. The wiki states this but that leaked stated idris was playing die hard man instead of who we have now

It's easy to get disoriented with all of the imagery of the game but I interpret it as a very practical real-world statement: covering the world with (internet) cable and connecting everyone on the planet didn't stop war and conflict.

Id say they were more attracted to Higgs since he was being loud but I could be wrong since the new trailer states Higgs has a special relationship with the other side which is the undead world (japs trailer have different words used than the English)

Gigantic Falcon swooping down at you from the sky as you run along.

Attached: Cliff let me out I need my BB.jpg (640x772, 123K)

Well remember the logo for Bridges across america is the US covered in wires. And there's all those cables plugged into people's boywombs and whatnot. Literally he must means there's must have been some widespread reality warping tech people thought would change the world and ended up fucking it instead.
As for its figuratively it probably refers to the internet and social connections being opened up for the whole world to connect. And yet we're just as angry and violent as we always have been. Whole themes of this game are connection and reaching out to people in a tangible way. Kojima was there and thinking about this stuff when the internet went a tool you used to a major societal component of daily life. He's a brainlet in a lot of ways but his history with the internet in his narratives has always been neat.

That’s the death stranding. Tons of humans ending up dead but turning into BT’s have made them landlocked in the position they are in due to their dead bodies (this is a theory btw)

bASED AND BRIDGEPILLED

He commented on urban isolation, people secluding themselves from each other. With the title being Death Stranding and creatures called Beached Things, one or two of them shown to be whales already, it suggests the phenomenon of beaching that's only common among certain social toothed whales. He called the game Social Strand Game. But yeah there are all sorts of dead sea animals shown. He keeps ending his tweets with an assortment of crab and fish and whale emojis too.

Thanks user, yep, I still remember what he said in MGS 2 on how truth is subjective since we have divided ourselves in bubbles that only accept certain truths. No one is wrong, no one is right but each individual will get a tap on the back if he believes what the bubble he is in believes.

Right well at the risk of not reading everything as a metaphor, let's try and go with a "normal" reason as to why the fishies are washing up.

First would be pollution - and with all the goo this isn't that unreasonable.

But there's another way sea animals can wash up on the shore - and that's when the salt water of the ocean is converted to fresh water.

Most sea animals can't deal with fresh water. Kinda like how we would die if our atmosphere was too much oxygen and not enough nitrogen.

Why would this point matter? Well, Kojima says when you die you swim around underwater that seemed fairly clear.

What would this mean plot wise? I dunno.

He should go see what urban people look like in America and then we can start talking about "connecting."

It’s most likely the IT boom but a small reference. The big plot point would be that you would have to connect with other people through physical communication in order for the country to be reunited. It could also mean that the separatist group you are fighting against were actually part of the country but were marginalised resulting in some of them forming the terrorist groups, therefore you have to connect with those people for the country to be stabilised again

The Patriots said that, not Kojima.

And the internet has allowed a lot of information to be stored up on otherwise obscure subjects - like morel mushrooms.

I'm not terribly sure a giant chaotic clash of ideas would yield any particularly noble truths. It might just yield resilient ideas.

Did he say you swim after death

I just assumed since rain has time shenanigans bodies of water in general do too. I think the silent trailer alluded to a river being bad too with the protective suit instantly covering his face when he falls in the river.

Then there are the cords or strands connected to all the dead sea animals. That seems directly related to the ghosts with strands connecting them by their umbilical cords.

>The Patriots said that, not Kojima
Jesus Christ Kojima is the creator. When did Yea Forums get this fucking contrarian?

Looks like his suit deploys a flotation device.

>contrarian
It's not contrarianism, a character may be a byproduct of a creator's vision but they needn't be a 1:1 mouthpiece for them.

I think just as the player is critiqued for going through MGS2 blind by the Patriots, they can be critiqued for swallowing the filibuster of a bunch of digital bullies who have to resort to hostage taking to get Raiden to kill a guy he probably would have killed without their filibuster.

That's how scumbags always work. Say something true, perhaps even insightful, and inbetween the nuance slip in some bullshit

They point out that there's no one truth which will emerge so they'll create the context which allows for it - but digest that for one minute and you see they're just saying they'll determine what's right or wrong.

They identify a problem, and their solution is to just have them be in charge of everything, all while their poorly conceiled contempt for humanity oozes out of every insult

Definitely not the people you want in charge or even influencing your society

sauce

Ok. Looking at time fall though. The time effects on rain would be either from bodies of water or in the upper atmosphere. I speculate if it is bodies of water that would explain all sea life dying and washing ashore.

>tfw the violinist keeps screeching flat notes while the guitarist strums out the most boring chords possible during the new trailer
really big let down on the music, I hope that's not the in-game music because it's complete garbage

That's a good point, they may have just aged. Curiously it looks like the presence of BTs makes grass grow quickly, like an opposite of the timefall effect.

Grass growing is how grass ages.

Why is Yea Forums so hype for this? I thought this places hates grassy field simulators.

Because all the people who think it's going to be shit stopped coming to these threads.
Aside from me.

or maybe ea and kojima recreated perfectly the real place

BotW is loved because of muh zelda and lack of exclusives for the shitch. If it was a new IP it would merely be liked.
