What game has the best horses ever?

in my opinion, its skyrim. its so easy, you just hold the analog forward, and the horse trots satisfyingly along the paths.

in my opinion, its Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. its so easy, you just hold the horse button, and the horse trots satisfyingly along the paths.

Jesus fucking Christ I hate the horse controls in Witcher 3. I don't remember them being so bad when I played through the game the first time.

too bad they are kind of useless

horse controls in BotW are ass. cant even turn auto pathing off

The horses in skyrim were just too slow for me. Prefer rdr 1 horses where you can maintain a sprint without the horse getting tired like in rdr 2

m&b,they are more than a mean of travel, they affect the way you fight directly.

I hated this because you couldn't even turn your camera all the way around on horse back

RDR has the best horse mechanics in any game I have ever played.

mgs:v

holy shit this. rdr1 horses are the best of any game ever, no other game comes close

RDR2 objectively improved upon them in every way

Red Dead Redemption, the first, not the second.

I haven't played since I think December, but I do remember liking RDR 1 horses better.

I thought the horses in RDR 2 behaved like retards, and I think they tripped over pretty much everything.

skyrim horses felt like you're driving car

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Defying gravity was nice in Skyrim, but I doubt that was intentional, so it can't really be considered a point in favor.

Wtf i watched that video last night
Stop stalking me

>gets stuck fucking everywhere
>can't keep its calm in battle
>tries to wrest control from you when you let go of the stick for a nanosecond
>too afraid to gallop inside cities
Fuck that horse.

I increased their speed in the Creation Kit to 1.5 and increased stamina, and that was when they finally became satisfying.

Vanilla horses are ass. I swear any player with decent stamina and a weightless armor source (perk or stone) has a faster net speed than Skyrim's "winded in 10 seconds" pack mules. So basically from mid-game onward.

Unironically Red Dead Redemption 2.

trying to figure out if a mail or plated horse is worth using in M&B as usually with a sustained charge they'll get knocked down regardless and injured or killed
or if it's just better to use cheaper horses

Seconding this

there are many things about games that can be debated
horses are not one of them
can a brother a get a /thread please?

This

Also this

Aren't bananas too mushy

Its fake egg not banana

I only recall enjoying it a lot in SotC and RDR1.

Skyrim's part-mountain goat horses were pretty fun.

Don't know about gameplay, but from that video I've seen, the latest tomb raider has some good horse action
