Most of it was complete though allegedly and there are some roms of early versions floating around

Yeah, I knew about Glover 2 existing and the leaked prototype ROMs that came out years later. Haven’t given it a play. I’m guessing that the first game sold like garbage and they nixed the second game. Kind of stupid though if it was in a near complete state.

Yeah, it came alright. All over Blockbuster Video's gaming section's walls, Nickelodeon's ad breaks, etc. I swear for every dollar put into this game, they must have had ten put into advertising. A real trend setter.

Hasbro just overestimated how much it would sell so they made a shit ton of cartridges that stores wouldn't take
They also had financial problems so they decided to lay people off

That’s a bizarre twist of fate. I always considered Glover to be a lesser known platformer in ~2000 that didn’t do well. I didn’t really know. Nobody ever seemed to talk about it back then.

I remember playing and owning this game. Even as a kid, I grew bored of it within an hour.
