1. better performance (not going to happen)
2. more sound effects for actions (steps, hits, swings, especially some bosses in the demo had multiple attacks that felt like they lacked sounds)
3. better movement (it's okay as is but could clearly improve, mostly by smoothing out directions and not locking to cardinal directions)
4. more clothing (so much character customisation but so few clothing sets)

I'm still probably gonna be buying it at release though.

Draconic Stake seemed pretty good when co-oping just to do massive damage when nothing is on you WHEN THE ONLINE FUCKING WORKED. Paired dark gifts with the Lost Zweihander and GHX-Assault veil for decent results.

Sliders honest don't help that much for recreating characters, most things like accessory placements don't have hard numbers to replicate and the rest is just choosing the correct color and hair/face type.
also due to accessory limitations, that Seras looks dumb from almost all angles but the one in the picture since getting that hair behind her head was a pain in the ass

I'm hoping that it will be easy to bypass accessory limitations on PC. I'm also willing to bet that you could find the exact coordinates of accessories using something like cheat engine or some similar, so I think sharing characters on PC will probably be pretty easy. Hell, they might just have saved character presets in a text file somewhere in the game directory that could make sharing really easy, we'll have to see though.

It's pretty much a demo. It allowed anons to experience the game and take a decision about it.

I wonder how hard it would be to add nail polish using various accessories on your fingers would be, assuming you didn't have a limit on accessories to use. But if there would be any "mods" for it, it would probably just be a global texture replacement and it would probably change everyone in the worlds nails to that color, unless all of the npc but the player character have unique textures in the files but I doubt that.

On any fast boss parrying does almost nothing because you don't get the animation and the damage, and most of the time you're lucky to get a single hit in before being locked into an action that gets you smacked.

After you clear the story, it allows you to enter the depths. You clear it by finding the 3 keys and using it on the door near the mistle.

I'm retarded. I don't get how stats, armor, and classes work. I see no reason to not use a heavy weapon as that staggers the most. Since a used a heavy weapon I used Prometheus Code and then I used Dark/Night/Something Claw armor so I didn't fat roll. I just kept pumping levels as I got more HP but no clue what else leveling did. Never beat the ice and fire chick. I'd get her to the fire phase and then run out of heals and die. I mean, I only attempted her 5 times and could have grinded out more levels and materials for weapon upgrades but I didn't wanna. Game is OK so far despite the charging ahead without learning anything.

I didn't want to read. But like, how does leveling work? Does your character level up or are you leveling up your Blood Code? What determines how your dark and light stats go up, and what do they even do? Like, my Light stat was always higher than my Dark stat. Don't know why tho.

Different weapons, Blood Codes, and Blood Veils give you different stat scalings. There's STR/DEX for melee weapons, MIND/WIL for light/dark gifts respectively, and weapons and Blood Veils have different weights which affect your mobility and dodging capabilities.

Leveling your character's level really only gives you increases in HP and stamina and smaller gains to attack/spell power. Upgrading your Blood Veil and weapons is where most of your offensive improvements come from.

It's flawed but I've played plenty of flawed games in my time.
It's a day1 buy for me unless something changes or it's over $60.
The waifus are great and combat is pretty good. Bayonets need a buff and the magic system is pretty unique and allows for tonnes of build combos.
Also the blood scorpion drain is sex.

It's interesting because it seems like the more melee-oriented Blood Codes have light gift buffs and spells to complement them. So it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have stuff with MIND scaling as well, if you don't mind buffing every now and then.

It's faster that BB honestly. It's slightly stiffer however because your angles are limited after you've pressed your action button whereas DaS and BB allow you to angle for a number of frames after pressing a light attack and after shooting but in CV if you attack and facing 90° then your Dodge won't change your orientation, just your X and Y position so dodging left right front back will keep you facing forward.
It's jarring for souls players because they're used to pressing a Dodge or swing then having 3-7 frames to slightly correct the angle.
Bayonet swings are faster than most same sized weapons in BB and Quicksteps are faster and have more travel distance (and seemingly more i-frames).
I think that people are playing it too much like a From game and suffering because of it.
Same as a DaS2 player going into BB you were punished for the first 3 bosses because they were designed to break you down and build your play style into the BB style.
I say all of this as a DeS and DaS player who went into bloodborne and got filtered by Gascoigne and BloodStarved beast until I gotgud and now love the game.

Anime Bloodborne would've been awesome, but it really is much closer to Dark Souls 1.

We got 2 areas and 1 was a high difficulty chalice dungeon. The "connected areas" thing was very meh because we only have 1 story area to explore for now.

Pretty much how it was for me at first, thanks to the aesthetic and whole blood thing my brain went immediately Bloodborne, only after I got my shit kicked in by the bosses in the depths did I stopped trying to play it as Bloodborne and played it as it's own thing, which made it much more fun for me.

I'm kind of amused that by far the best way to pull monsters is the assault's charge attack. And that's assuming they survive the initial gank to begin with.

It's great. There are so many ways to replenish your Ichor (the stuff you use to cast spells) that you can spam spells as much as you want

I see a lot of people saying that but i didn't have any problems with performance the entire test on ps4 pro.

The ichor system is nice at least, it's kind of like quicksilver bullets but more forgiving and flexible in exchange for having way more things to spend them on.

I feel like the game is being held back by the inherent structure of souls combat though, like they should have copied themselves with how God Eater 3 increased the overall combat pace to help it feel less like a blatant derivative of a better game. Ironically, doing what bloodborne did and removing weight classes entirely would probably have been a step in the right direction.

I thought it ran quite well on the X, no noticeable drops, not really anything to complain about. I still hope to see some graphical options on the enhanced consoles when it releases.

Why the long face

Monsters don't have enough health for how much damage you can put out, and since breaking a part will down them you can rapidly stunlock them to death. There's also a lot of really busted burst arts like lunar orbit and dividing edge that have way too much output for how spammable they are, and totally outclass every other art you could use in their slot. The game's just really easy unless you deliberately hold yourself back.

That said, the combat itself still manages to be more fun than 2RB's singular blood art slot or Resurrection's hilarious melee neglect, where a melee weapon with 0 damage and a bunch of gun related skills was considered a top tier option.

No breast slider or height unfortunately, it was all bundled into the physique slider

Still some really good options, though the accessory limit (or rather "prices" of some accessories) could be adjusted

I think there's probably two aspects to it, firstly they wanted feedback from the network test (but didn't give a form for user feedback...) to see how much work it really needs, and then they probably want a fairly short run-up period from announcement to release since then they don't have to try to keep any hype alive for too long.

One of the main reasons I'm confident that a huge part of the delay was restructuring the story was the build I played at PAX a couple of years ago was the same area as the network test but had different characters (Mia as your partner), a different boss (the knight guy from the later area in the test) and no midmission cutscenes. All of the promotional material from the time was similar. It feels like they changed their mind from "copy Dark Souls' (lack of) storytelling" to what they have now. Io was always important but the way they're telling the story has definitely changed significantly and I'm willing to bet Mia lost some of her place with it.

It'll probably be fine, this game isn't going for that 'lonely' atmosphere and the GE devs have never really attempted anything like that.

I saw Mido at some ruins at the Cathedral of Sacred Blood yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and get in the way of him experimenting on orphans or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his blood veil shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my Ichor farming, and I heard him monologue as I walked off. When I came to loot some corpses up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen crying orphans in his hands without beating the boss.
The Successor of the Rib Cage at the arena was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to beat the boss first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the boss fight.

When she took one of the children and started stabbing it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to stab them each individually “to elevate mankind to the next step in evolution,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s scientifically viable. After she stabbed each orphan and put them in a bag and started phase two, he kept interrupting her by monologuing really loudly.

Io even makes comments about being a poor fighter when you ask her about the bandages, and Karen was a field medic.

Samefaces don't happen for main characters, especially not in 3D and not when the character creator shows that they have enough parts to work with if they wanted two distinctively different faces.

Her face and hair are practically the same. Same eye shape, same eyelashes, same nose choice, mouth has same visible underlip shadow but is more puckered / less smiley. Io's hair is longer, which would fit a timeline where Karen has been missing for a while before picking up the player character.
