Like your video shows, you have to be boosting the entire time. There should be flames coming out of your pipes your whole run. Also always make sure your boost is maxed out each time. Wait for the red bar to be as far left as possible just before it backfires. You get way more reserves this way. Most people, myself included liked to boost as soon as the bar turned red, but those boosts are useless! My times improved so much once I started timing for maximum boosts.
The shortcut just takes practice. You need to perfect the timing of your jump just right to get the most momentum. Seriously though, once you master some of these mechanics, you will become so much better in just a matter of days.

CTR doesn't make it tedious like snaking was in MKDS. You can get up to three boosts per powerslide in CTR versus just one in MKDS. Less need to constantly switch direction this way.

Beenox has apparently balanced the classes more, so the differences will likely be minimal for online play. Time Trials are a different story, and there will be specific characters that will be optimal for certain tracks no matter what.

You get USF every time you hit certain jumps (super turbo pads). Your kart just screams and the speedometer completely maxes out, this is the only time it does.

But you lose the speed when you boost upon landing. Any boosting in general, after hitting the super turbo pad, ends USF.

I'm running CTR on emulator and trying to devise a perfect control scheme to stop your fingers from hurting after long amounts of playtime.

It's definitely a must that the remake explore more control schemes. Just moving the jump/powerslide button to the right trigger is a godsend so far and I don't have to squeeze the bumper with my index finger for entire races (which was causing pain).

If anyone removed the Trophy Girls is Activision because I highly doubt Sony approached them to remove them from all versions of the game when they could have just Tawna'd them, and even if Sony went and asked them to do that is not like Activision are forced to comply so if they were removed to not trigger anyone then it is all Activision's doing.

That said, I have a feeling that the reason as to why we didn't see them yet on any podium scenes is because they're either going to be playable or they want to give focus to victory animations and stuff, either way I find it very weird to have those hands on the reveal trailer and then don't have them nowhere to be found, I think it would be easy to add them as playable characters either as Tawna skins or 4 separate characters using the same base model.

With the game being as faithful to crash as it currently is I cannot see, in any way, why Activision would have beenox remove the trophy girls. If they are removed, which I doubt, it must be from an outside source, and the most prevalent company currently censoring games is Sony, and the PlayStation is undoubtedly where Activision is expecting to get the bulk of it's sales, that's why PlayStation is getting exlusive content. Activision and other western publishers/companies also do care about the censorship in their games, so far the only place where Sony put their hands on when it comes to censoring stuff was on low-budget japanese games because the DMC5 censorship was lifted later on, I don't see Sony going through the problems of making Activision remove stuff from the game for the sake of censorship.

Im not against CTTR characters being in the game neither against Yaya Panda, I know most people dislike those games but I think at least Yaya Panda and Pasadena do help to balance the cast among male and female characters I don't think Pasadena is a bad design at all, she starred in a bad game but I think her design fits more in Crash universe than N. Trance for example or Zam and Zem.

I wouldn't also mind Von Clutch but having Von Clutch and Pasadena would mean Willie Wumpa too and god he's worse than N. Trance.

The tracks are alright, some of them can be boring or a bit too long, for example the first and second world (with the exception of Deep Sea Driving) are pretty bland. I like Thunderstruck, Electron Avenue, Clockwork Wumpa and Hyper Spaceway. Maybe none of them are Sewer Speedway level of greatness, but it's still fun. The music is also good. The real problem with Nitro Kart is everything else...
