thats the best metroidvania ever made

ironically it's on the switch now

>Easily the best game of 2017
ftfy

Blew away every single game that year, INCLUDING Nintendo's exclusives.

Best indie game maybe

>but la mulana
>but metroid
>but simphny of the night

Fuck metroidvanias

>if you didn’t own a Switch.
woah this timeline fucks me up, wth
Hollow Knight in Febuary, BotW in March, Mario in October, Splatoon in July?
Yet I'm pretty sure I played Hollow Knight hella late, like in May or June.
Either way 2017 was godlike looking back on it

>odyssey
>good
unironically kys yourself

Also iirc Sonic Mania and Cuphead

>metroidvania

yes, metroidvania

I'd consider trying it, but the constant shills spamming how great and Amagansett it is make it dishonest. So fuck this game, probably spent more on publicly and sogs thanthe. Game w itself

how do you deal with that influenciable life?

>I wont play a game because a lot of people praise it
I dont even like SK but you're retarded

Imagine being this easy to influence

It is actually pretty good, give it a try. Much better than Samus Returns.

I am sick and tired of these fucking retard youtube kids coming here and posting these fucking images like they think they're being fucking funny

Who are they, where the fuck did they come from

Hey, I gave Breath of the Wild a try despite thousands of shills spamming metacritic scores 24/7. Don't let the obnoxious fans stop you from liking the game, unless they're overwhelming. I understand that.

this, theres no pi¿oint in arguing

Oh boy here we go again. Just shit out Silksong already, this is going to be a long wait.

>Faggot throat slasher
Coming from someone naming himself a faggot it's a very risky statement.

This is probably gonna sound like shilling but fuck it.

I was really surprised at how much the Seal the Deal shit in a A Hat in Time reminded me of the Godmaster DLC in Hollow Knight. Anyone looking for a similar feeling I found it in that.

Any other games give that same kind of feeling? I've already beaten Radiant Absolute Radiance.

No user, this was the best game of 2017. Hollow Knight was a close second though

Hollow Knight
>established a studio

Nex Machina
>tanked a studio

Hollow Knight, Cuphead and A Hat in Time are the best video games of 2017

holy shit how is this game THAT overrated.

>hat in time

It's just falseflagging at this point mate.

It's really well made, a lot of attention to detail and the mechanics are very tight. Movement is good, dashing around and double jumping just feels good, the combat has a nice weight to it and it feels satisfying to kill enemies. 10/10 imo. Great fucking game.

>can't beat Trial of the Fool
>can't upgrade to the Pure nail because the game fucked up and deleted one of my pale ores
>can't cheat to get it back because I'm playing on switch

Attached: 1536683964139.png (546x770, 303K)

I figured you were playing on PC at first because early on there was a bug that caused the second trial to not drop the pale ore and it fucked you out of 100%.

Dang, that sucks. I feel for ya man.

>guys you have to try this Yea Forums website its like reddit but anonymous guys anonymous means nobody knows who you are!!

>wojack

Maybe if Hollow Knight wasn't an example of 6/10 plainness it would be the best of 2017.

Trash game

Yeah seriously. It's pretty but gets boring fast unless you're an autistic retard.

This. Indie games don't supersede AAA games, but I can't find a better indie game from 2017.

Rain World desu.

>Indie games don't supersede AAA games

Why can't they? If they're more enjoyable to play that's what should matter

>Why can't they?
Small budgets and amateur dev teams.

>If they're more enjoyable to play
They never are.

Reddit, where else?

You haven't actually said how games made by smaller teams are automatically worse in terms of quality of design, and the fact that you think AAA games are entirely made by highly skilled and experienced devs is goddamn laughable

Small budgets = less content and less innovation
Amateur dev teams = less quality

Considering AAA games are always better, someone on AAA teams must have better judgment than people on indie dev teams, which requires either higher skill or more experience.

>AAA games are always better
