According to steam achievments only 27.9 % of players beat Resident Evil 4

>According to steam achievments only 27.9 % of players beat Resident Evil 4
>22.5 % beat GTA 5
>19.9 % beat MGS 5
>12.2 % beat Psychonauts

This kills the singleplayer games, in the future there will be nothing, but online shooters with lootboxes and paid DLC updates, it is all your fault

MGS V is shit

agreed

A good portion of the industry is fake niggas, The amount of real niggas never changed, it just got flooded with casuals in the 7th gen

I love blins

I’m like 4/5ths into RE 4 give ppl a chance to complete the game

I love kots

20-30% is the average completion time of all games, OP. That's actually really good. Be glad it's not like 3%.

If anything I'd say a huge portion of that is people rebuying games they either already own on consoles, or have already pirated and played ad nauseum and bought it during a sale, loaded up and got bored.

Maybe it's because the game is shit

Some people want to play offline, or pirate, or the achievements don't register.

>22.5 % beat GTA 5
I beat singleplayer on PS3.
I only got GTAV on PC so I can fuck around with my friends.

How does steam actually calculate the percentages? Clearly it's not a flat measurement of "if you own the game, it counts", otherwise the first achievement will always be 100%. Does that also mean every achievement in general are actually more common than presented, from a few to a dozen percent.

Just throwing out arbitrary numbers. For example, if only 80% started the game at all, doesn't that imply the rarer 40% achievement would actually be 50-60% because you're comparing the initial 80% that qualified?

Fuck off and die redditfrog.

>he actually thinks pc gamers MASTER RACE buy singleplayer games
Kek

I have no achievements for several games I finished too. It's not indicative of anything.
Also I have several games I've never launched on steam but finished.

GTA Online has a shitton of free content you can get by playing.

>inb4 someone brings up Dark Souls 1 when it only had steam achievements added years later
t. guy with 150 hours and no achievements in it

Steam achievments start tracking only if you launch the game once, just owning it doesn't count

>if the game is single player, I will pirate it
>oh god, why there is more and more games reliant of multi-player?
Gee I wonder why.

I own 314 games on steam
Ive completed probably 50
I havent even launched or installed a large portion of them and even some of the games I have played I lost interest within the first hour
Old humble bundles and steam sales pile up

If i see that dman pancake cat one more time....

Stop buying games?

Attached: 7c6.png (500x500, 30K)

What are you trying to say, here?

What utter shit this thread is! Most people buy games during the sales and never get around to playing them! If anything this actually helps developers because people are giving money to them for a service they'll never use. If only gamers who will get around to completing a game bought them, you'd see a lot more devs going out of business, and the video game industry would suffer.

plural is blini

>>According to steam achievments only 27.9 % of players beat Resident Evil 4
i'm waiting for re4hd

Steam achievments begin tracking only if you have played the game, just buying it is not enough

I never beat psychonauts for PC because there was a platforming level at the end that really couldn't be finished without a controller, and I couldn't get my ps2 controller working. I already finished it for ps2 and I still have the disk so it's whatever

I have for the most part
A large portion of my steam stuff is older stuff I own physically or consoles that I could give to my younger siblings or otherwise clear out
I tend to buy maybe 3 "new" games a year for the last couple generations

So that means EVEN more people have bought the game that is letting on. This means so many based plebs are subsidizing the rest of us playing games (assuming you're not a pirate fag)

the cult of Yea Forums

I played Psychonauts and got lost in the hub world. AMA

>people re-buying for nostalgia, playing first level and quitting
understandable
>30 hours of "comedy" amidst an otherwise uninteresting story when you could just shoot the shit
understandable
>second act is a terrible slog, story falls apart and you're stuck replaying missions up until the end
understandable
>nostalgia buys, see re4
understandable

I am actually very impressed with MGS V data, 35.1 % beat Act 1 and 19.9 % beat Act 2, that game was so boring, long and tedious, but many players still had the patience to beat it

>Be poor as shit higher school when game released
>Pirate that shit because I had a computer
>Now not poor so buy game when it was on sale. Because maybe I'll play again.

atta boy

This makes zero sense. Developers care how much their game sold and not how many completed it.
Appologize.

then how is this possible?

Attached: t.png (928x76, 14K)

All of those games came out on console, they might have beat it there and rebought on PC but didn't complete. Thats the case for me with re4

13.7 % started the tutorial first, found it too hard to beat and never bothered playing the main story mode

Why waste any money and time working on 10 hours long story mode if only 25 % of players will ever beat it?

I have 1200 games...I would say that I haven't even started up 700+ games.

Kot blini is best

>22.5 % beat GTA 5
Most people play gta for the multiplayer so it makes sense that they skipped the story mode, especially if they beat it on ps360

I'm just surprised 12% actually bothered to finish Psychonauts, you're supposed to get to the milkman level so you can talk about how ebin quirky it is and then go back to playing good games

He thicc

I'll punch that cat in the face.

>steam achievements
>buying games

did you keep track of how many people actually PLAYED the game tho?

47.4% completed basic training in psychonauts
this means 25.7% of people who played the game beat it

>m-muh cutscenes
faggot

How can anyone beat MGSV? It has no ending.

I want to kick that cat

Never ever ever ever fucking put a comma between nothing and but

>I believe in nothing, but I want to believe in something

i mean 60% of games owned on steam are not even played ONCE. It’s because of the sales.

Brainlets can't even see that what matters is not the number of people beating the game but the number of people buying the game.

You listed 4 games that all released on other platforms first. A lot of people rebuy games on PC and then just don't play them as much as they did the first time.

So your opinion.

>According to steam achievments only 27.9 % of players beat Resident Evil 4
I'm one of those. I played it God knows how many times on the PS2, but i haven't got around to replaying it on PC.

>20% of gamers aren't ADHD riddled zoomers
It's over, we've lost.
