Well, I certainly hope that's the case. I'm just saying, they already have Derryberry on board, so getting her to voice a role she already has in the past even if just once doesn't seem too out of the question, especially considering they got Corey Burton who did two lines of dialogue for N. Gin and Tropy in Wrath of Cortex to be the main voice actor for the characters in N. Sane and Nitro Fueled. Who knows, maybe that was just because of budget limitations, but I can't imagine Michael Ensign or Quinton Flynn (CNK/Twinsanity VA for N. Gin) being that expensive. I certainly hope Gross comes back though, so I hope you're right.

This is a known mistake in the original CTR. The time required to unlock the Tropy ghost on Cortex Castle is actually way faster than Tropy’s actual time. You have to reach near Oxide speed to do it.

Seeing crash now is like seeing a friend get out of an abusive relationship. He isn't that dead eyed soul sucked guy who's miserable, you're finally back to the good old days, hanging out and drinking beer and doing stuff. Crash is saved bros

I'm probably one of the select few individual's that like all the Crash Bandicoot games, even the weaker ones. I grew up with Crash so it's hard for me to hate it. Sure, most of the later games weren't as good as the older ones, but they weren't outright terrible. I'm not the biggest fan of the Titans designs but the gameplay itself isn't HORRIBLE, it's just really not Crash. At least those games had some fun character interactions sometimes. I certainly wouldn't wipe those games from existence, as those games had fun moments. Especially Twinsanity.

I think most of them do a pretty good job. I still really like Lex Lang as Cortex. I would prefer if Corey Burton was replaced though. Bring Michael Ensign back as Tropy and Nolan North as N. Gin and I'll be a happy man.

Makes me excited for the future because I'd love to see what VV has up their sleeves for a fresh Crash game especially since post naughty dog stuff isnt just being tossed away.

To be honest I think the only Crash game I actively dislike is WoC but even then I find some aspects I like about it. Crash has never had a perfect run (especially the original 3) but I'm glad he's still kicking.

From what I've heard, Debi Derryberry really brought her A-game to CTR, probably my favorite recent performance next to Tatasciore as Komodo Joe and Dingodile, and I love all her new lines.

Jess Harnell could stand to channel Pacino a bit more though as Pinstripe and stop slurring so much as Crash, but otherwise he's 'okay'.

Corey Burton as N. Gin though... Not bringing the same finesse he did in N. Sane at all. He sounds too upbeat and not monotone enough.

I probably dislike Crash Purple the most. Wrath of Cortex is probably my least favorite too but just because of the large amount of vehicle stages and how lazy it was ripping off Warped, and it was kinda floaty. I enjoyed it last time I played it, but I really don't see myself coming back to it as much as I do Twinsanity. Hell, I watch the cutscenes for Titans and Mind over Mutant more than I watch anything related to WoC. I'm glad the Bandicoot is still kicking too. It was rough for me having nearly a decade without him. I used to get his games all the time for Christmas presents, and then after Mind over Mutant it just stopped.

Lex Lang is probably the best voice Cortex has ever had. I love Clancy but... he can do menacing and goofy, and he's just great. Harnell is a great Crash if he keeps the babbling down, although his WOAH! was a little weak. Surprised they didn't have another take of that to use.

Everyone calls CoTT and MoM soulless but honestly it seemed like they had fun doing the cutscenes at least. Plus the concept art is actually rather decent they just messed up along the way with the execution.

Lex Lang has better range if you ask me. Clancy while great I could never hear his voice and think Scientist fuck up plus his humor was more subtle which is something I dont think of when I think of cortex.

I think Crash should speak, yes. I don't know whether I'd define it as articulate or dimwit though. Maybe as a goofball? I like how he talks in the first game, like when he says "YIPPIE!" or "Uh oh...". I feel like talking one word or two at a time is fine, but I don't want him to speak full on sentences. I feel like Crash shouldn't engage in speech, only react to things with speech if he has to. I feel like he should react more with expression and action.

I would have crash talking in rare instances and stay brief on what he’s talking about.

Just like he says "uh oh" and "whoa" in the original games, he should be able to say "yeah" and "okay". He's proven in the PS1 games that he's capable of basic English exclamations.

I prefer he doesn't have to be forced to speak in general, but those are my two cents.

Crunch seems to be more durable than Koala and Tiny though but that could be because the games got more slapsticky as the time went on. I mean it look like he died twice in WoC but managed to survive that mess.

Only reason I think Koala Kong is stronger is because Crunch relied on the Elementals in the only game where he was a boss, and I don't recall much use of his strength after that game.

Crash and coco can seemingly survive terminal velocity falls, deathpits notwithstanding, can kick 500 pound rocks around incapacitate average humans in a single hit. Well, wasn't Tiny originally a minion of N. Brio in the second game? N. Gin and Cortex are the only two bosses not sent by Brio. Tiny was also supposed to appear in the original game, and in the N. Sane Trilogy of Crash 1 he is in one of the cages. I don't think he's really an upgraded Kong, as the two were created at around the same time. But that is true, he did break free from the pillars. I just think Kong looks a bit physically stronger than Tiny.

Did some shitty math, if the pillars are made of marble which most Greek pillars where and if I eyeballed it right and estimated the pillars to be about 2 feet in diameter then tiny would have to pull with at least 20 tons of force to shatter them like that. As a reference, an elephant can pull up to 9 tons, or 1.8 times it's body weight

Cortex mentions Brio as the "mastermind" sending minions to thwart Crash collecting crystals, but that might just be Cortex laying bullshit, as he also claims in same cutscene that Brio forced him to help him in world domination.

Brio does seem rather unhinged in his own cutscene, so it would not be too much of a strech that he is sending his mutants to stop Crash.

I see, I didn't knew english back when my PS2 worked, so I thought Brio wanted to safeguard the crystals somewhere or something from your post. But yeah, it definitively smells like bullshit from Neo, he is the final boss after all.

I believe he’s telling the truth about Brio sending in minions to stop Crash from collecting the crystals. It’d make no sense for Cortex to bring in Crash to collect crystals if he wanted to kill him and not actually have him collect crystals, a power source Cortex actually needed. Plus, Cortex tells Crash to deliver the crystals to N. Gin. He doesn’t do that with any of the other bosses.

Brio does ask for the gems, but Brio also doesn’t trust Crash. Crash is an enemy to both Brio and Cortex. Perhaps the same could be said for Cortex, but he says in the opening cutscene when he’s alone with just N. Gin that he has no more troops on the planet. I don’t see why he would lie to N. Gin about that.

Good point, but Brio would only need to keep a few crystals away from Cortex in order to cuck him from powering his machine. Now, this raises a question, did Tiny felt betrayed for this pointless mission and defected to Cortex? Or does he thinks the two doctors are friends and simply obeyed Cortex without thinking much about it?

Well, Cortex and Brio are both Tiny’s creators. Cortex has been working for Uka Uka the whole time, but I don’t think Brio even knew Uka Uka existed until much later on. He just wanted to destroy Cortex’s Weapon as revenge and move on, probably not giving a shit where the mutants he controlled went, figuring it was all over with. He probably didn’t even know Warped happened. I’m sure Cortex and Tropy somehow got Tiny on board since he had nothing better to do, and Tiny isn’t the brightest anyway.

In what way will ctr be shown at E3? Will it make an appearance at the main stage? With sony not attending i cant be so sure

then you encounter n.gin, and only after you beat n.gin you start encountering cortex's lab assistants/obj_motherfuckers in the piston levels/jetpack levels, suggesting cortex has stopped believing you're on his side after all

Now that I watched the cutscenes, I can see that, I'll check for 3's to see what happened there, so Uka was that thing he was trying to "prevent" from fucking up the world in 2.

I don’t know if they will be actually. The CNK tracks might just be extras for arcade and online modes from what we’ve seen. I was hoping after beating Oxide that we would be warped to Velo’s Coliseum and have access to its hubs and tracks, but I don’t think that will happen.

Going to have to strong disagree, respectfully. Clancys original voice gave actual menace and weight to cortex, which did two critical things. One, it established real stakes, he felt like a genuine threat when he got serious. Second, this demeanor gave a much stronger contrast when he actually fucked up, making it a lot funnier.

Cortez in voice and character is now a cheap caricature, a corny klutz that might be entertaining to a kid but no one else. The softening of cortexs character is one of the most regrettable things about post naughty dog Crash, I'd kill to have Clancy back

I wonder this too. I always assumed it just increased your acceleration and not top speed but I honestly have no clue. It might only affect the items you get.

Neither. They haven't been shown in the victory scenes from adventure mode on Snoy's Censorstation 4.

I'd like to see at least one new game done in the classic style before they start experimenting. NST was really enjoyable but it's just the first 3 games again, and the last main game to be in that style was 18 years ago (and it was shit). Future Tense was so good and the 2 gba games were great, so I'm confident they can make a worthy Crash 4. I just hope it's more like 1 and 2 rather than Warped.

This is proof at least that they were considered and modeled at one point. I think they won't be there for the usual podium scenes, but might make an appearance at the end of game. A celebration cut scene of some kind at the stadium. Chick and Stew could make an appearance there too.

Relic Races could be a selection under Time Trials mode in the arcade. Same for CTR token races. Completing them can earn you Wumpa Coins or something.

I'm excited to use CNK bosses that I love like Big Norm and Nash online knowing it will make purists seethe.
