I don't think I've seen a single person in my entire life say they didn't like the Tony Hawk games. Even for me, they weren't really my thing but I didn't NOT like them.

Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Donkey Kong 64, Underground, Mass Effect, Lego Racers 2 & Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 were my absolute favorite games growing up

THUG2's story is dumb, but I still had fun with it. It honestly has a better set of levels than THUG1, probably the best since Pro Skater 3, and mechanically it hits the sweet spot before going overboard with dumb shit like American Wasteland (although Natas Spin is kind of useless, but it's harmless). Basically, of the PS2 era THPS games, it feels the best to play.

By the way, please play THUG Pro.

I need an arcade mode first and foremost in my Tony Hawk and THUG just doesn't have that.

My friends and I tried to skate. Tried. Couldn't really get to the point where we could do an ollie so we gave up on the skatepark dreams

This isn't some gay creepy pasta. As an adult I rationally know that the gamecube fucked up badly (I can only speculated that it overheated), but when you're 12 and just enjoying your videya and this kind of shit happens, it's traumatizing. No other game has ever done this on my gamecube. It's only ever done it that one time. I've never seen a single person have this issue and I feel like every time I tell my bros this story, they think I'm full of shit, but I swear on my life it happened, scared the shit out of me, and ruined THUG 2 for me forever.

Ye, point. THUG2 is stacked full of levels for the classic mode, AW on the otherhand has a mere 5 with only one of those unique to the game itself.

Yeah, THAW's is kind of tacked on, and I think only The Ruins is truly unique to it. Some of the other levels like Santa Monica even came from THUG2 Remix on PSP.

I only had THUG2 as a kid. Liked it but never paid attention to the story and only played the levels after using a cheat code to unlock them in free play.

I've played THPS2, 3 and THUG in the last few years and of the three THUG is by far the least enjoyable. I just prefer the more arcadey setup I guess. I can get 100,000 point combos without any effort in THUG but it just doesn't feel the same.

Because I was a bmx fag, skating was for shitters. Dave Mirra and Matt hoffmen all the way.

Shame, 2003 was a godlike year for many other nostagic vidya releases.

At the risk of sounding old, the early to mid 2000's were a pretty damn good time for video games. Last gen kind of sucked, but current gen is pretty fun. It would be nice if there were more high-quality extreme sports games though. Steep is kind of lousy to me.

Eric Sparrow is the greatest video game villain of all time.

It was a great game, full of tons of content and modes. Graphics were pretty good for its time too. I always grouped it in with my other favorite PS2 sports game, SSX Tricky.

THUG 1 and 2 were amazing. It all went wrong with American wasteland because that tried to put some faggy story in it. 1 had a perfect story mode because it was just you, skating, and that faggot eric sparrow. 2 was bonkers and didn't take itself too seriously which is what made it great. American Wasteland tried to go serious mode and, by that point, people were bored with it.

SKATE came out and took a dump on Tony Hawk with realism. TH should have taken a break but Activision, ran by that jew kike faggot shitlord who wants to churn money like scrambled eggs, said "NO LETS MAKE MORE TONY HAWK LOL"

Fl1ppy's THUG2 download is just a file dump of an install of THUG2PC, and apparently it has caused issues with a lot of people trying to get it to work with THUG Pro. the devs recommend to use the proper THUG2 installer.

American Wasteland was more my shit. I liked the punk vibe and whitout the morons from Jackass. It also, had the classic mode.

Just replayed it like a week ago. Played the shit out of the THPS games but this was the first I'd actually owned. IIRC I was crazy enough to beat the game on Sick(o) mode. That final mission was a massive fucking pain in the ass. Got all the gaps too. Allowing you to get off your board repeatedly made getting hundred-thousand point combos super easy but I feel made the series better. THUG 2 was fun as well. Last one I played was Project 8 but I ragequit after my Xbox crashed and I lost a ton of data.

Fav maps are probably Canadia and Airport.

Didn't notice any problems. Definitely use a controller tho.
