I don't agree because it depends on the context. The 'specific reason' is typically the specific reason why we're being told about it and why it's an important part of their character. If it comes up in-lore or as a character's backstory, great, that's fine. If it's something tacked on, that's when people start to complain.

I think you misunderstand where a lot of opponents of these movements come from. My opinion has little to do with gay people themselves - I'm not the person you replied to, so I can't speak for them, but for me it has more to do with the exploitative nature of homosexual culture and media.

It creates a new protected class immune to criticism which has genuinely destructive aspects that aren't discussed and are glossed over - for example, you are no longer allowed to say that homosexuality is a phase.

As somebody who grew up bisexual, I can tell you it was a phase driven almost entirely by peer pressure. You can acclimate yourself to anything, and in a society where the value of the family unit is constantly being undermined and made unfashionable it's distressing to see an elevation of lifestyles that denigrate those ideas.

A lot of people who spew "hate" would prefer gays to live productive, happy lives, and don't see that being nearly as possible under the current political climate where gays are used as a cudgel against traditionalists to make one political body in particular appear to be righteous.

There's actually nothing to argue against. Besides, you're a dumb faggot who doesn't care about discussion anyway. You just want this place to be an echochamber.

probably because under developed countries will usually despise gays and barely tolerate them on a government level at best, this essentially forces gays in those areas to only bring it up with close friends and not talk about it much since it will risk them turning against them while in the west your celebrated for being gay which leads to gays exposing themselves since it gets attention
