Mantis is the least practical vehicle in the franchise.
It's all held together by a 6-inch-wide bolt of metal. If a single plasma shot hits it, the entire thing falls apart. And the bolt is completely exposed, too.

Just started a new character in Enderal and he's only like level 6 or 7, so yeah, I'm completely fucked.

The wings and tail are hard-baked into the overall structure. It can't do anything but thrust forward like a rocket or a desperate virgin boy.

I figued out how this junk is supposed to turn while hovering.2 of those tiny thrusters are turning forward while the other sides turns backward

I mean in theory it could turn with differential engine thrust, or it could have tiny "puffer" thrusters on the wingtips, nose, etc. like the Harrier and other real-life VTOL jets do. Still an horrific design without a shred of the original's coolness, though, I'm especially in awe of the stupidity of that tiny tank turret on top.

UNSC aesthetic used to be solid polygons, while Covenant had curves all over.
Now the UNSC just has random curves and it looks like shit.
Compare the old pelican cockpit windshields to the new ones. Goes from being multiple flat pans of glass to being a bubble like Homer Simpson designed it.

I read the art of halo once at a friends house .the book went into great detail about the artstyles of all the diffrent factions.343 threw all these design rules out of the window .they even gave us a rocket launcher so bland that it reminded me of the basic rocket launcher from destiny .

Adding to the part with different factions from watch bungie's whole last wish design video. They go into detail that while designing the raid they had to make new architecture to identify the faction clearly and not look like a copy/paste job. It's sad that their design philosophy is stuck in a shit game

I wish Destiny 2 would go entirely F2P already. It's a very pretty game with some good music and decent gunplay, but everything else is not worth paying for.
