What would a physical Atelier Ryza Collector's Edition need to earn a purchase?

where?

A Ryza onahole with squishy ass/thighs

Okay, eventually.

delicious thighs.

thighzuri doujins when.

>thighzuri
is that a thing? do you have examples?

cute footwear

>guy I know is getting butthurt because people actually care about Atelier for once but it's only because of Ryza's thighs
Atelier has been ass for the past like five games and I expect this one to be just as mediocre but it's still funny to see

Attached: 1501649409011.png (340x388, 129K)

>character model has no indentation
You had your chance.

Anything for my wife!

Only if they put the time limit back in

Wasn't an Atelier game just released? Is this a spinoff?

So if I'm looking to play an atelier, which is the last good one?

>Pre-ordering games in the digital age
Actual fucking retards.

You niggers can't think this is actually attractive right? Those legs look swollen and bloated, and her legs look like they should have no bloodflow going to them.

I'm all for thicc thighs but nothing about those look appealing.

Ayesha.

It's another entry in the main series, A21. Lulua came out in Japan in March. Ryza will come out late autumn/winter this year in Japan.

no, it's a main game

there's a new one every year so there's nothing to be surprised about here, for main games this is the #21 I believe?

Not him but I've definitely seen some. Guy sticks his dong between the thighs, grabs her ass and cums all over the wall.

There's people that don't like Ryza. :(

What the other guy said. Rorona through Ayesha are all great, everything after Ayesha has been mediocre at best.

I see hot women all the time. You do this by doing a little thing I call not going to McDonalds and eating there for every meal of the day.

>digital blackface

>jerking off instead of having sex with the girl

self cuckoldry is possible?

get a load of this fag

>liking normal women

>He's only good for one shot
You do what that guy is doing first, then before you cum, plaster her thighs in semen. Then bend her over and fuck her raw pumping as much inside her as humanly possible.

Sex would then give pleasure to the women and takes longer. There is no benefit to it over jerking off.

Will this one have no time limit as well? Hope so.

How old is Ryza?

Based and chadpilled.

Nah, how about you kill yourself

Old enough

Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed.

Is she an actual adult? I don't want to get arrested if I ever go to australia or something

>those
>cute
Cute shoes though

Old enough to be an adult anywhere that matters. Australia sucks, so it's not like it makes a difference.

Well Missy , Tell me about your game. Whats it all about? You're cute , but there are a lot of anime games with cute girls in them. What sets you apart? (honestly I hear about these atelier games a lot I would like to know more about what they are)

In-depth item crafting system, turn-based battles, lots of character events. Story is more focused on personal developments than world-saving heroics.

Cute navel

Some people are gay, which is extremely sinful.

Will blondie be thicc?

Attached: 1559111969824.jpg (640x501, 105K)

>Story is more focused on personal developments than world-saving heroics.
At first, really. Then there's some Ancient Evil (often a dragon) that conveniently awakens just in time for the heroine to blow up with a homemade bomb.

>Thos fat fucking thighs

Last Atelier I made the mistake of buying at launch was Shallie and it was awful. E&L was the last one with any soul and even that was spread thin.

>buying at launch
Full price, $60? No Atelier game is worth that.

Only Sophie and Meruru suffer from that.

Is Sterk's voice back to normal in Lulua? In Nelke he sounded like a completely different person despite having the same seiyuu.

Ryza's is

It happens twice in Totori, though at least the first time (the whatevertraut) is foreshadowed.

He sounds appropriately older but it's still him.

>$60 is a lot of money

underage/poorfags

>Evil Face comes out of nowhere
Oh, so you're just retarded then.

I will get a ps4 copy

How does it have any more setup than, say, the Airshatter? You only find out anything about the village, the tower and the sacrifices once you get there.

>$60 is a lot of money
For the content received, yes. Assume what you like, though.

>For the content received
It's a 60 hour game and this one seems to be of far higher quality.

Because Evil Face is actually relevant to Totori's quest and has plenty of lead up to it after they introduce it when you reach the village before you fight it, as opposed to Earthshatter just being a random dragon that shows up and you kill ten minutes later with no relevance to anything.

There are no more or less steps between finding out about Evil Face and defeating it than there are with Earthshatter. For the former, you just have to go to and from the village a couple times and bring Pamela along the second time to open the tower, for Earthshatter you have to do a few things to craft the special bomb ice. It being more personally relevant to Totori doesn't mean it isn't suddenly introduced and defeated, which was the point.

>Its like these artists have never seen an actual woman
Jesus christ the fucking irony in this post

So wait, is this going to be a continuation of the last game, or is this a whole new entry for a trilogy?

>white women
>calling others ugly
Kazakhs are very beautiful.

It's pretty much SOL moe, with focus on character interactions. You gather and craft items. The combat is your standard turn based JRPG. I don't know how nep or tales are that far from each other when it comes to weebness. Do you mean fan service or something? Why are people using weeb as a replacement for fan service? It has a bit of it, but not as much as neptunia. If you gotta hide your power level, this is certainly not the series to play.

It's no more weeb than Tales.

More than Tales but far less than Nep

I finished Below with the true ending and didn't get this either.

stinky feets!

How stinky are we talking?

She's wearing sandals with weird... single toe socks. They wouldn't smell at all, and that's a good thing.

Every Atelier trilogy is its own universe. You're missing nothing because Ryza will be a new trilogy start.

Bless this man

You most certainly will not. This is the start of a new trilogy, like the user said before me. So, you won't be missing anything. Look at video of the gameplay when it comes out of course, to make sure it's something you'll like. It not a complicated game, and it should give your a relatively accurate picture of how the game is.

Have fun

Why does it not surprise me Tumblr fags have no idea how cloths work.

Her shorts and stockings wouldn't need to be nearly that tight to make a skindentation like they do. Meanwhile she has a thigh gap because of how she's standing - dove toed - which is a proper display of feminity in Japanese culture (and about as awkward and uncomfortable as it looks but so is wearing heels and tight shorts so)

Getting the same feeling I had with Sophie where I just want it to be over. Never had this with the older Arland games

I've been feeling this lately too in Firis then I realize that all Atelier games kind of feel like this. Feels bad man. Maybe this is what people meant by they need to change it up. Like what I am even playing for?

Because I'm still on the Sophie's post-game and I've yet to start Firis.

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.com.jpg (1280x786, 151K)

Have fun, it takes forever and a half, I left for Firis after I got stuck on the last boss.

Yeah and I'm like, do I really want two more games in the Ryza series? Getting kind of sick of them as a whole, they really need to take a year off, they've ruined it since the end of Dusk.

I hope they don't repeat the same mistakes with Firis and make it so fucking empty and lifeless. Especially with backtracking and having to wait until essentially postgame for any sort of fast travel.

I just wanna get caught in the middle of them thighs around my neck, head resting on her tummy, with her patting my head

Attached: 1559114524638.jpg (1150x1500, 235K)

Firis only felt empty and lifeless once you explored it, before that the sky was the limit. That first experience was the best taste and for a game made in what probably amounts to a year and half. That's really good. Fast travel made it feel even more empty and lifeless since you don't even look at anything anymore, sometimes I just walk to enjoy the chimes and see the sights. Although monsters are typically in the best of sights. It is a shame that a lot of times, it was just bad loot in the area like caves. Caves felt like epic dungeons with no maps, but then they all mostly turned out to be the same with ore which you could get somewhere else and better.

Nah but I'll buy it on steam when it comes out

I'm glad that the game series is getting a lot of attention even if it's because the MC is cute. The games in the series always start off slow but suddenly you're crafting insane shit and the game really picks up so stick with it.

>sophie starts showing off her tummy and thighs
>everyone hates it
>ryza is showing off her tummy and thighs right from the get-go
>everyone loves it

Because Sophie is pure.

What kind of games are these? I though she was a merchant?

I liked Sophie's second outfit. I was surprised when I saw she has Plachta's fucked up lewd outfit in Lydie & Suelle

Technically alchemists are merchants too. It's a crafting game basically except you also have to get the materials yourself because alchemists are broke. Like there's not a single rich alchemist aside from a few that you play.

Alchemist, the main characters are weak but able to craft powerful healing and damaging items. There are quests for killing monsters or creating goods.

I wonder why no one ever talks about Lydie and Suelle. About to start in a day or two. Hopefully it's a good conclusion to the Mysterious series.

power dynamics are always weird in atelier games, gathering materials is difficult because the world is full of dangerous monsters, so even princes and princesses have to go out and gather sticks and stones if they need them but at the same time a fat dude with a shovel seems to do just fine

>I wonder why no one ever talks about Lydie and Suelle.
Because it's the third game in a trilogy where most people disliked the first two games

Sophie was my first and got me really into the games. I can't imagine why people don't like it other than the lack of time management but that's perfect for new comers to the series and a comfortable way to ease into it all. She's also the cutest Atelier girl.

Attached: 1556053090312.png (378x434, 279K)

Is this the beginning of a new era? If it is, then the future's shining so bright it could blind me.

Attached: cube.gif (480x480, 2.14M)

Not that guy, and honestly don't know what he's talking about. From what I've seen Japan only really bitched about Firis. They weren't really hated any more than the usual atelier games. Maybe he's just talking about the western fans?

he's a notorious shitposter, don't pay attention to what he says

Pretty much every Atelier after Ayesha has been mediocre at best and the ones without time limits are outright garbage.

The problem is that saying it's just "lack of time management" makes it seem like a really small thing, but in reality the entire game is built around this time limit, so when you remove and don't change the rest of the game, the game doesn't work.
For example, in Atelier you don't get a gameover when you die, you're sent back to town and lose the items you collected and lose time. It's a big enough lost that some people will load the previous save instead of taking the lost. When you die in Sophie, the same thing happens; you lose the items you collected and time passes... but there's no time limit, so the "lost time" doesn't fucking matter at all. And then, sure you lost your items, but again, THERE'S NO TIME, so you can just go back to the field and collect them again and you didn't actually lose anything. In fact, it's pretty astonishing that Sophie doesn't have a time limit yet puts a bigger focus on time passing with actual night and day time and the characters and shops having a schedule. If they actually made a game with no time limit, it could be fine, but Sophie isn't a game with no time limit; it's a game built around a time limit but you have infinite time. It's fucking stupid.

>finally finish up Oskar's storyline in Firis
>unexpectedly gets me choked up
>actually really like that ending because Firis has a even more smug personality
>check steam achievements
>one of the least gained achievements along with based Revy
I sometimes think about if people just play the game for the crafting and not the story. It was quite the difference from Sophie. Really got to me. Especially with Firis trying to figure out what she wants to do and you actually being able to pick it. Although on that note, I don't really understand the Everything one. It seemed like she just went with Liane, Sopie and Placta which is only a combination of two endings. In any case, I don't see how it would really work considering what some of the other endings are, but I liked that it was choice.

Guess so, talk about can't see the forest for the tree. They've been pretty steady quality wise, and I'd say the biggest problem is that they play too close to each other. All the other shit is minor and really is missing the big picture, and the actual problem.

That was Blue Reflection.

it's an optional side story and it's fucking oskar, come on, I only cared about finishing Cornelia's and Drossel's story too

Post an example

I sure hope all the newfags who will buy this game due to Ryza's thighs turn out to enjoy the series and stick around.

Is Lulua worth getting or should I just wait til next year for Thighza?

I sure hope they don't

Why not?

which atelier game do i play first

If you like Arland and want another Atelier in the meantime, then sure.

People didn't like it because it wasn't their first you baby.

Why do oldies always hate new things?

too fat, I want Totori's thin level

Is Totori the smallest one?

Smallest and youngest

Puniyo.

I hope Ryza is successful enough to get more than a handful of good doujins.

Depends, what do you like?

Is it just me or is the crafting insane shit part supposed to be more exciting, but all the materials you horde at that point and trying to save for the very best and therefore not using them very stressful? It's like saving potions and never using them until the time except I have that feeling with all thousands of items in Atelier.

It's about knowing when to spend your materials on something.
Many times you just want a trait, and extract that trait into a neutralizer or some other common material that you can put into a self-producing loop.

I've played Atelier games long enough that this has become an instinct.

When you make a really good item it's really satisfying. Today in Firis I made a gunade ring with every stat maxed. Gave it to the cool as fuck mercenary guy and made him my tanky beast.

"excitement" is not the right word, it's more of "satisfaction" that you created an item with every stat maxed with all the planning and crafting of intermediate items.

Are these games any good apart from the music?

Some of them are

no

Atelier is probably one of the first games in which I don't feel like I'm being cheated out in combat. It finally made me understand what tactics means since I have to use this certain buff and this item to do these debuffs and such to survive otherwise you just get wiped out in a couple turns. The game never gives you enough defense and health to tank things overwhelmingly, but just enough to let you survive and use that item. It's satisfying when you get close to beating a boss then realize you could win if you just fixed up a thing here or there. Maybe recreate a new item with more traits to be stronger or for that one specific monster. Maybe you use your items in a different order. Sometimes it's just luck that a character survives an attack with the rest of your party wiped after trying their best and you get in that last attack. Extremely satisfying.

youtube.com/watch?v=TtYcVa0MvPI

I'll consider playing one of them. Give me the name of your favorite so I don't start off on a bad note to the franchise.

Ayesha

Looks ass

>Looks ass
I got the joke.

That part is simple. It's more of the ambiguity of the game and what traits do or don't. If it's similar to a past game or if it's different here. Like what traits should I pair up together for best damage for this character and which traits on which piece of equipment. It's juggling so many things in my head that I just get exhausted and have items with traits that I may potentially need because I don't know if I'll find it again like that. Even though I know you can, but sometimes just thinking about working is tiring which is funny for being a game.

You're right, it is. I love maxing out those stats and unlocking to see what's behind the question marks.

Until you create bombs with the OHKO trait and you start wiping out normal mobs left and right so hard, your level flies and everything because easy as fuck.
I got Critical++ on a Plant by pure luck roughly halfway through Sophie and it ruined battle for me. Put it into a Craft (via synthesizing Zettel with Critical+ and Critical) and I was invincible.

Alright, bought it.

Have fun!

Should I wait for Dusk DX or import the PS3 versions?

>Atelier Ryza: The Queen of Eternal Darkness and Secret Hideout
Is this the first time they changed the title convention of "alchemist of x"?

Always wanted to try this series.
Figured I'd start with Arland, but those thighs make me wonder if I should wait and start with this one...

Attached: fuck me.jpg (661x590, 74K)

Not really.
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana
Atelier Iris 2: Azoth of Destiny
Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm

I wish Gust would try making Atelier games with grandiose storylines again. I know they're just playing safe by catering to their loyal customers, but I miss the good old days of Ar Tonelico.

>Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana
Guess not. Then there's Nelke which also has two names.
Arland and Dusk did it too much so it seemed like they always did it, but actually Firis mixes it up too, it's funny. Sometimes she'll be known as The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey and at other times The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey.

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana
Atelier Iris 2: The Azoth of Destiny
Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm
Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland
Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland
Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland

Attached: 1539322062423.png (322x395, 201K)

>"achemist of x"
>tfw just realized the title is "queen of x"
Wait, does this mean Ryza is the Queen of Eternal Darkness and Secret Hideout?

PS3 Ayesha doesn't have japanese dub.
PS3 Shallie is severly lacking in story content.

Finally we get to play a dark alchemist. Unlimited power and they don't use it? Come on.

>alchemist of thighs

it would be interesting but it's gust we're talking about so that's most certainly the antagonist

>The Queen of Eternal Darkness
Sounds big and scary

>and Secret Hideout
Sounds like my little brother having fun in the backyard

I wonder if they actually mean "Hideout" or if the JP writer who doesn't speak English looked for a word that meant something more like "Hidden Lair" or something

>Follow Ryza on her merry journey to become the very best
>At the end of the game she kills her friends and says "thanks for helping me, teehee"
>Turns evil and dons a dark color scheme
My dick

>Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland
>Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland
>Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland
These are only the western titles. In Japan they're all "The Alchemist of Arland 2/3/4". There's a nod to it in the English version of Meruru with one NPC saying something like "Once Arls merges with Arland, you'll become an Alchemist of Arland too".

the japanese title is 秘密の隠れ家 so literally "secret hiding place", it's a pretty childish way of putting it, like playing hide and seek and not nearly as ominous as "queen of eternal darkness"

>Ryza is a chuuni who believes she's the Queen of Eternal Darkness
Okay this explains a lot.

Maybe the Queen of Eternal Darkness is actually Ryza's self-given title because she's a chuuni

chuunimind

That actually sounds cute as fuck but I imagine it would make a lot of casuals angry ("wtf I expected to fight god himself but it's just Ryza playing pretend")

>theme of the game is "the summer memories you make with your friends"
>the Queen of Eternal Darkness is just a character Ryza plays in a test of courage she does with her friends

She glows all pure and light in this image but you can tell by the way she's dressing, she's not pure. She's trying to seduce you and corrupt you. It all makes sense that she's the Queen of Eternal Darkness. That face is just a facade.

>evil Ryza
Please, I can only get so hard

Eternal Darkness refers to what happens to you when she chokes you out between her thighs

As in no dual audio? What's with that? Botched international support?

First game localized by Koei Tecmo I think
They added dual audio in the vita version

Everything but especially the writing.

She's a succubus who dissapears young virgin men

How young are we talking here?

disappear me ryza

Those thighs look stupid.

Attached: 1559012158592m.jpg (1024x910, 113K)

>the thighs that saved the Atelier series

I hope the the thighs jiggle when she runs.

Attached: 1559244960284m.jpg (768x1024, 89K)

I like thighs but hers don't look good. They stick out too much at one point when it should be more subtle and thick all around. But her model doesn't reflect it anyway.

I bet we'll get scenes where she's worried about getting fatter from all the sweets she eats

Yes pls

Firis was empty and lifeless from about four hours in when I realised that all the forests looked exactly the same and the caves were straight up copy paste.

user, think about what you're saying. It'll be Sophie all over again.

Old hag.

This, but you didn't even mention Sophie's God awful pacing with the stupid recipe idea system.

It will be Sophie all over again (And that's a good thing)

>Sophie is about to be dethroned by an actual Queen
It was fun ride while it lasted boys.

>It'll be Sophie all over again
Sophie didnt have nearly as much interest and fan art as Ryza is having
Even though she's both the cutest and sexiest Atlier

Attached: 20190530232844_1.jpg (1920x1080, 271K)

>levels mattering at all
95% of your stats come from equipment and your level hits a soft cap around 50 in most games.

The "alchemist of x" naming was only a western thing.

How big is your Ryza folder?

I really hope they do open world well with Ryza. A whole interconnected world would work really well with an Ateiler game. Different biomes and different items being available at different times of day.

Attached: 1559344805868m.jpg (716x1024, 84K)

Sophie looks stupid and has no personality.

I don't trust their budget and length of dev cycle enough to want open world

Attached: 20190530233913_1.jpg (1920x1080, 287K)

You're basically describing what Firis is at its very base. It turned out to just be more of a mess than what it would seem to be.

What? The Japanese titles use their equivalent construction even more frequently, going all the way back to Mana Khemia.

When this game gets released Koei Tecmo will immediately announce another one and Yea Forums will be shilled hourly by threads for that, guarantee it
KT is using Yea Forums as their free personal advertising platform and people refuse to call them out on it

Yeah man Tecmo is totally shilling Atelier to the 100 posters in this thread instead of on their 70,000 followers on twitter

This. How the fuck does Atelier sell 180k when there's only like 100 posters at a time on Yea Forums?

>KT
>advertising atelier at all

I haven't played a Gust game since Ar Tonelico 2, but I'm getting this one for sure

Attached: 412344.jpg (1920x1080, 1.29M)

Seriously. We all gladly do it out of the kindness of our hearts.

>new game comes out
>people on the video games board talk about it

Attached: 1549276307494.png (640x480, 148K)

90% of atelier sales come from asia, if you look at steam reviews they're almost all chinese too

The game looks so good right here. Shame about the mountains in the back still looking the same as they do with their textures. Why can't they just pull a MHW with their views? In Firis, there's like a couple areas where you can look out to the sea and it's very clearly made to be like that, except there was nothing to look at because the mountains looked terrible and the water was too.

Technical-wise they've stepped their game up a lot in Lulua.
Ryza might actually be good.

Attached: Honeyview_Atelier_Lulua 2019-06-02 13-06-05.jpg (2560x1440, 1.26M)

fug, is Lulua good?

>That water
Jesus, i've only played the mysterious trilogy, but that seems like a leap

And this is on a switch too? This looks amazing.

user...

Lovely colors

The Atelier fanboys will claim the games are incredibly popular which is why they make money but you are right, outside of Asia these games sell poorly which is why these threads always appear none stop on Yea Forums. KT is losing money badly in the West after a stream of failed releases and controversies and they know it but they are simply in denial.

The saturation is through the roof here. Might because it's at dusk. There's also a blur filter put over too. Maybe from atmosphere and all the water.

nice water

Attached: waterboy.png (107x102, 6K)

>1440p on switch

>This amount of detail
>On a Switch

To be fair, that's reshade doing its magic.
Pic related is vanilla.
>The saturation is through the roof here.
I guess I increased it too much.

Attached: Honeyview_Atelier_Lulua 2019-06-02 13-14-09.jpg (2560x1440, 1005K)

I doubt anyone claims that they're "incredibly popular", they're known in asia and among some weebs but that's about it

Too bad that part of Arland was irrelevant for most of the game, and I only visited it twice and used the menu teleporter for the other times.

See now the saturation looks more balanced there.

Not even atelier fanboys claim it's popular user. The Gust thread on /jp/, the slowest fucking board here, died because there were not enough posters. Ryza is the first time in years where an atelier thread reached bump limit.

How big is the hub town?

I believe KT USA has permanent translators on staff. Since KT doesn't have a lot of games, it's still profitable to make them translate Atelier games over just not having the translators have anything to work on.

Attached: yes7.png (932x1126, 635K)

No one is in denial about the games doing poorly in the west, I hate KT for their shit localisations, shit ports, and complete lack of marketing of the series. It was legitimately better off with NISA.

The Gust thread on /jp/ died because of endless Mysterious shitfling.

KT doesn't translate them though, every Gust game has been outsourced to acttil.

>tfw you’ll never work for Gust and help optimize their games to the max so they can be the more they deserve to be
We could be the best looking game on Switch.

/jp/ might as well be renamed to /celebs/ because that's all they talk about nowadays

Koei Tecmo selling Gust to virtually any other company would be the best thing for everyone but I don't see it happening. Koei Tecmo seems to intend to drag Gust down with them rather than free their slave

>The Gust thread on /jp/ died because of endless
talking about the most recent trilogy

Imagine if Square Enix bought Gust instead. We might have gotten more of Iris-style plots and Surge Concerto instead of "girl becomes the best alchemist and then nothing happens btw please buy the DLCs".
Longtime Gust shiteater by the way. I bought the limited edition boxes of Nights of Azure. Terrible games, but I platted them all anyway.

>Imagine if Square Enix bought Gust instead
You have some really strange perception of modern SE practices.

KT doesn’t control Gust like that though. Gust is just always doing its own thing with writing. They can give Gust more work, but Gust has proven to make it work.

>Durante reached out to work on the pc ports both with mysterious and arland and KT ignored him

christ

Look, Yea Forums might give them a lot of shit over final fantasy and all, but they're a competent company for the most part.

>games.ph3.at/
It's been a while since I last visited this website and I still don't see much progress from last time. Is the guy still around these days?

hope you get a car accident

>KT doesn’t control Gust like that though. Gust is just always doing its own thing with writing.
Explain why as soon as the buyout happened atelier's writing staff completely changed then. Yuya Jin suddenly took over scenario work despite no prior history with them.
>Gust has proven to make it work.
Except the games have been mediocre for years and Blue Reflection desperately needed more development time to polish it and add more content.

No they're not, they're incredibly incompetent and dragon quest is keeping them alive. Well, their Japanese arcade stuff is pretty good too, but we don't get that.

How do I be like Durante except I’ll try harder to get KT to notice me?

Nonsense. I vote Atlus or Sega.

Pros:
> Sophie is cute
> BGM is still great

Neutral:
> World design is less interesting than Dusk but it was still good
> The lewd artstyle is a somewhat a downgrade from Kishida and Hidari

Cons:
> Very bad voice acting
> Bland side characters
> Graphics are back to PS2 era

As some said in the thread, This is the first Atelier which I got bored at the endgame wishing it would end soon. And I have platinum for the 6 previous Atelier games

I ain't really talking about ff related stuff.
They founded a subsidiary company to make old-fashioned games and none of them were really impressive.
They hired Baba to make a high-fantasy game and then he left company and project was cancelled.
I don't quite understand where the hopes of improvement for Atelier specifically comes. Why even SE specifically?

Resolution aside, the Switch version looks really good too, yeah. Not quite like that obviously.

Sophie was great. To this day I still dream about impregnating Monika.

Attached: Atelier Sophie - Monika.png (625x773, 366K)

most FUN atelier game on steam? or what is a good place to start?

Bullshit, KT controls Gust with an iron fist. Gust is abused by KT to pay debts and bills KT itself, not Gust, accumulated.
Because of KT financial and market incompetence they actually require Gust to release a game every couple months to stay in the Black as if Gust is allowed to instead focus on a single game and give it a full dev cycle like any other company Koei Tecmo would enter the Red within a couple months

A good example of this is Dynasty Warriors 9, KT wanted that game to be its best DW release to date and threw everything they had into it and it failed spectacularly, immediately after it did what happened? Koei Tecmo announced they were out of the blue porting over old Atelier games which they sold at full price

Monika is the perfect wife of all the Atelier friends.

Rorona

Fuck yea!

Nelke is the most fun because it has like twenty characters. A good place to start thought is Rorona.

What makes sophie so popular? How did she beat totori and rorona on character poll?

>Mfw I bought Sophie at launch and my PC crashed because I didnt notice the game was using 100% CPU for some reason and the temperature went over 100

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Sword Art Online - Alicization - 20 [720p].mkv_snapshot_13.36_[2019.03.20_18.12.47].p (1280x720, 1.06M)

>I don't quite understand where the hopes of improvement for Atelier specifically comes.
If Gust had the financial freedom (i.e. given enough budget and dev time) atelier games can easily become much more polished.
It is reasonable to assume that KT is the one who is dictating the finances and dev time.

She’s drawn by Noco.

Look at the other characters on the poll. The people who played Sophie's same only voted for Sophie and none of the side characters. And going by sales Sophie had a lot of first buyers who didn't come back for the sequels.

Especially since every Atelier prior to the acquisition was improving a lot, and then E&L was a huge downgrade with a low budget anime accompanying it.

thanks friends

>Gust now pandering to the ironic weeb pedophile incel crowd that only plays games to get their pp hard
Final nail in this series' coffin. Good riddance.

you guys have been saying that gust is gonna die any time now for years and they still put out multiple games every ear

i guarantee nobody who speaks english would love the atelier series more than trans girls on Yea Forums

Breaking news: Yea Forums doesn't know shit.

That started with Sophie and the promo art featuring Platchta's vulva.

SEA sales saved them. Which in itself is also horrible.

Ryza's party member reminds me of Monika, and the guy has Drossel's shoulderpads

Cringe.

Firis is my favourite design desu

Looks much better without the oversaturation.

Firis came out at a time where open world games were overhyped so Gust decided to try making an open world game too.

It's really sad that Ryza's announcement basically cannibalized Lulua. Notice how everyone is talking about a game that hasn't even come out yet, vs a game that's already released.

I blame it on Lulua's art looking pretty bad.

Yeah, it sucks because I'm really enjoying it.

Let them do other series with grandiose stories then, as that's not supposed to be what Atelier is about.

Rikka's design is way better. Ryza is a typical over-design without aesthetic coherence.

t. crab

Are any of the Atelier games linked with each other or can I start at Ayesha without feeling left out any key plot points?

But does it run like shit? I'm all for graphics improvement (even if my rig is mediocre), but Japan can't into optimization.

Firis is an incredibly boring protagonist.

You can play them in any order. There is zero plot in these games.

Any JAVs like this?

So, why do some of the church statues look like Pamela? Or, vice versa.

>But does it run like shit?

>4690k
>rx 580
Average 30-40 fps at 1440p, so I'd say it performs good.

Pamela, together with Hagel, are the Atelier series in-series joke. She's always a ghost and Hagel is always upset when someone says his first name.

Yes, plenty.

Barrel, barrel~

Code?
