I wish the walkspeed was a bit faster, but aside from that I like it. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I'm gonna buy it regardless. I don't play Granblue, but I like alot of the designs, and I only play anime fighters.
>I wish the walkspeed was a bit faster Isn't this a problem with most ArcSys games? Arcana Heart, BlazBlue, even Guilty Gear to an extent have slow walking speeds.
Caleb Wood
It can take one correct guess on a super jump or roll to get in her face, and she doesn't even have strong AA angles like Nu or Vatista. Even a random trade with the whip's hurtbox that knocks her down can give you enough time to set up oki. You don't have to be in her face to apply pressure, either: screen space is limited, she's going to put her own back to the corner eventually. >and put the enemy away from her She needs SOME kind of defensive option. Her normals are slow, and even if she makes you block something her back is still to the corner. She doesn't have a mobility option to get out on block like act parser, but she needs a way to get some breathing room.
BB doesn't need better walkspeed because normals in that game are fuckhueg, and it's not nearly as grounded. GG is the same on the latter, but to a lesser extent, and it is detrimental to the game. However, having airdash approaches changes the game alot, and it's something this game doesn't have. Arcana Heart is a very different situation because the ground game isn't the same as any of the others, because air movement is highly emphasized in it.

>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? It needs so many improvements. Walk speed, push back, combo variety, making more buttons useful in neutral, instant block being shit, way too heavy one pressure etc. The game needs a complete overhaul, I guarantee you anyone praising it for being so easy and approachable will be bored of it in a day or completely sick of how offensive it is going to end up.
>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? No. It has gone from getting it even though I never touch my PS4 to lost most of my interest.
People are only pretending to like this game because they're all waiting for a new Guilty Gear right? Like the difference in the amount of depth in this game compared to a game they actually care about is insane.
Camden Young
Question: Do the autocombos have their own unique moves and animations? Or do they just re-use normals available in other buttons?
Played gran most. Hardest was a fellow gran who knew how to combo and use their ex moves. Gameplay is fun compared to other 2d fighters, asked for improved walk speed and narmaya I'll buy it for PC if they announce a PC version at most a few months after it come out for ps4. If not I'll just ps4.

I don't give a shit about Guilty Gear

>>Who did you play the most? Gran surprisingly enough. Feels like a good middle ground between characters like Sol and Ky while feeling distinct. I also love his supers and specials with how good they look. >>Who was your toughest matchup? There was this one Charlotte capable of insane pressure that was pretty scary. Otherwise most Kats felt like they were damn strong, and way more frightening to deal with than Ferry. >>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Honestly, more moves is the only thing I could suggest. I really enjoy the slower, but close as fuck pacing of the game. >>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? 100% sold. Game's a fucking blast even if it feels more on the simple side.
Ah that's interesting. Does it have unique properties or is the autocombo for any of the characters really interesting for some reason? Or just very basic newbie fodder and nothing more?
Camden Reed
I like granblue characters so it's fun to play as a variety as apposed to guilty gear where I only play a few.
Joshua Sullivan
Give me Lancelot tech
Grayson Anderson
pretty much this

Yep. This game is shallow as fuck. Not only will people get bored of playing it, but it won't even last a week as a spectator sport. I don't even think dumping money into huge prize pools like they do with SV will make people play this shallow game. Like how do you not have combo variety? The most basic fighting game requirement.
Alexander Russell
>Does it have unique properties or is the autocombo for any of the characters really interesting for some reason? It is pretty much just combo filler. It is just a 3 hit standing string that you can combo a light or ex off at the end.
It's fun, but idk I don't see where it can go from here beyond what we've already seen. Apparently the 5 characters are the most basic ones in the roster, so we're just going to have to trust their word on that.
Hell yeah I love Granblue, shit looks awesome. Had a blast with the three sessions too, despite the worries.
More interested now, not that big on grubble but the game itself looks fun as fuck and I do like the characters even if I'm not big on the mobage.

Announcement after beta calling it now
Isaac Powell
>Who did you play the most? Katalina >Who was your toughest matchup? Ferry >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Very high skill floor, but conversely it feels like the skill ceiling is a bit low too. I'm glad that people new to fighting games have the ability to feel good about doing cool things, but if you don't raise that ceiling I don't see how this game has staying power. Adding some mixup potential would be nice, autocombo isn't very satisfying. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I'll probably buy it. I like Granblue as a concept, even if gacha is cancer, so I want to support these awful mobile games putting on their big boy pants and making real games. Give me a GBF RPG, an FGO dungeon crawler, whatever you want, just stop making mobage.
Matthew Williams
>Who did you play the most? Katalina >Who was your toughest matchup? 50/50Lot >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? If not I'll pick it up if I have the money but I will buy it.
A big issue with the neutral game is how few choices you have to make as any character. 5B is your neutral button, some lucky characters have a good crouching button but for the most part it is 5B. Your far 5A is too small and your 5C is slow and doesn't give you a better combo anyway.
Even games with 3 buttons usually have a bit more going on than that. Your A will have a little more dist stance, your crouching buttons are often pretty good and you might even have a command normal. Here you have fuck all. unless you are Ferry. Her 5A has pretty decent distance, her 2B is amazing as well. Even her 5C is pretty nice. Why this character breaks all convetions I don't know, she has everything + more
I don't really get all the Ferry bitching. Once I get in her face she's fucked. Then again maybe I haven't fought any good ones. Potato and Kat are way more annoying to me
Lucas Gray
You can only fill in the survey if you've been given a code right?
Asher Adams
Ok admit it, how many of you did the easy inputs for specials. I know I did. I thought it was going to be a bigger deal than it ended up being. I didn't notice anyone using the block button which also isn't a huge deal because crossups are de-emphasized
Her normals are really good, only Kat and Gran have anything comparable. The Ferry's that kicked my ass were the ones that controlled their space so well that I couldn't dash in without paying for it, walk speed is slow so they could maintain distance, and just slowly bled me out with pokes. Get in her face in the corner and she's doomed, but the good ones usually manage to avoid that.
Xavier Russell
>Who did you play the most? Ferry and then Katalina
>Who was your toughest matchup? Charlotta
>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey?
Game is fine as is for the most part. Maybe make the super animations skippable by the player. Could increase distance covered by dashes, but make it harder to block after dashing. Please don't add any roman cancel like crap. ADD YUEL
>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Game is looking like a day 1 for me
>Who did you play the most? Ferry >Who was your toughest matchup? A strong Lancelot >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Movement is fine. Simple and short combos are fun and allows me to explore other characters if this game ends up having many characters. Pressure can possibly be toned down a bit by having more push blocking but maybe that's because the dodge mechanic isn't explored as much. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Will most likely buy.

>Pressure can possibly be toned down a bit by having more push blocking but maybe that's because the dodge mechanic isn't explored as much.
Once people get good I'm expecting them to start abusing the dodge to get out of block strings sort of like how you'd backdash in SFIV to get out of bullshit situations

>Who did you play the most? Ferry >Who was your toughest matchup? Lancelot >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? I really enjoyed the game. My one real complaint is that running feels really weird. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Definitely going to buy it.

I just wanted to go to the training mode and figure stuff out. Trying to learn the controls while getting killed wasn't optimal.

Asher Scott
That was my last match to. What a sour note to end on.
Oliver Rogers
That is unlikely as it loses to lose and throws. So not like an invincible backdash really
John Parker
i fought maybe 2 lances the whole beta. I bopped him super hard and got bopped super hard when I tried to play as him. I don't know what his gameplan is actually
>Who did you play the most? Gran/Lancelot >Who was your toughest matchup? I suck at fighting Ferry >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? I suck at fighting games, so my win:lose ratio was about 1:20 if I had to guess. I begged for Ilsa DLC since the game is probably nearing completion and the devs probably don't have time to add her in. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Day 1 buy, I've been playing the dumb mobile game since before the 3rd anniversary and I'm already whale deep
some anime player on twitter must have put the word out that ferry was ezmodo because I didn't see as many ferrys on friday as I did this morning
Alexander Stewart
It works against midrange normals since you're not in range for a throw and the game has no gatling to go into a low
Evan Fisher
What's the name of that girl with the pickaxe/hammer as a weapon? That girl gets my pick.
Noah Rogers
he's a heavy mixup based cahracter with a setplay snowflake move he wants to knock you down and then knock you down again and then keep doing that until he wins
Not having training mode, or friends that play the character to run long sets with, makes it really difficult to learn the matchup since 99% of the Ferry players online were total trash. People are letting Ferry get away with murder because they don't understand what she does or how to get in, I've seen a lot of people get hit by completely fake oki setups.
Just typical early zoner stuff, people will cry about the grapplers once they get in, too.
Tyler Wright
wasted pick

Who did you guys answer for character requests? What feedback did you guys gave them?
>Who did you play the most? Lancelot, with a bit of Gran >Who was your toughest matchup? Probably Kat as Lancelot, and patient players as Gran >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? Slightly faster movespeed would be nice, and having command normals could help diversify the cast a bit. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I'll end up getting it regardless, but some changes would really be nice. Add Siete.

>It works against midrange normals But that isn't where the pressure gets crazy

>Who was your toughest matchup? Gran, though mostly because I diddn't understand what he was doing
>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Honestly, even though some stuff I didn't like at first, the more I played the more it made sense why some stuff worked the way it did. I think it's a really well-made game, more than people are giving it credit for right now, and people will see it once we start having real tournaments.
>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Day 1 buy
I was torn between Forte and one of the homoknights. ended up picking Forte because having someone dual wield polearms is likely be cool, while the homonknights are a coinflip depending on which one you want.
Benjamin Martinez
>gran & potato >Ferry and Kat from who've I played then >Faster movement, more pushblock, maybe some characters having command normals >not on release, if anything I want to play an older SF or SC6 due to how the game works, but I'll think about it when it gets a enhanced rerelease or whatever, it's fun and simple, if flawed. Though I don't play FGs much so my opinion may not mean much I wish I met more lancelot players, the one I met when I entered to the US kicked my ass, but I never saw much of those guys in UK, only Potatos and kats/gran for the most part. I can't play him for shit but he looks fun. Initially with DPs but I then got better at them I need to use DPad more with these games instead of analog stick, it's a nightmare to do DP in these games, end up jumping and eating some other guy's DP. Always wondered if Forward + hadouken worked in this game >I didn't notice anyone using the block button Block + forward allows for side stepping, right? I started using that shit and I found it really useful against ferry players
Who would probably have the RWBY Yang function in this game?
Daniel Powell
>Who did you play the most? Ferry and Gran >Who was your toughest matchup? Charlotta >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? All I want is for it to be a little faster, some more flexible characters, and actually good netcode
Samuel Bailey
Sell me on them
Leo Anderson
>I'll think about it when it gets a enhanced rerelease or whatever Arcsys haven't done those in a while, they're just going to make bank off of DLC. Especially with a title like this with all the characters they can draw from
i think they should improve walk speeds and let you gatling outside of the outside of combos other wise it's pretty solid it's too bad about delay only netcode, though
A lot, I really dislike that system honestly. It doesn't force you to make smarter decisions. If i lack a real DP i just have to rely on wonky normals for aa. It means you avoid all ex moves in neutral which takes a lot out of parts of the game like zoning. In combos not using the ex doesn't mean you have to change up much about the combo. So it is basically do I want damage or do I want a complete character?
Henry Gomez
>ferry >toughest mu was charlotta someone doesnt know how to play ferry
Samuel Bennett
Ferry needs to lose her DP or at the least the invincible version.
Jack Ward
>outside of the outside of combos *outside of autocombos
Jace Kelly
Hey I recognize that name. Thanks for your continued based support lineup fren :)
I pretty much exclusively used the ex version of specials so that happened often
Wyatt Nguyen
being realistic here if they speed up movement and overall attacks, how could it affect the gameplay as whole with the current skills? I can't imagine big changes, but I didn't get 100% of the gameplay
How is she not in a game not out yet? I don't know user you tell me
Ayden Gomez
Gran I played pretty much exclusively, like to learn on these types of characters and let everyone else show me the other characters.
Charlotta I had the most trouble because her pressure is high and I'm an online scrub who wants to mash. Plus her jump ins made me think and I would always be wrong on which flip she used
Walkspeed could be faster, more characters with more reach on counter hit normals will help a lot. Frames on dash and evasion could be changed.
This game was already a buy me for when it was announced. It's the kind of fighting game I can get into having played and watched other games and disliking the feel of it
>Who did you play the most? I played all the characters, but Kati was probably my most played >Who was your toughest matchup? It was hard against any character played by a good player >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? I like it. It's a grounded game exactly like they said. I love the free EX mechanic (because cooldown are actually in the game for that reason), it's interesting because they are really important during a round, you can read your opponent and know what he can or cannot do during it, so your gameplan change depending of the current management of EX moves. I don't really understand why people are crying over the walk speed, I think it was alright and some characters could be way faster than the current 5, or way slower, it's not something we can judge right now. >What changes did you suggest in the survey? 1/ Skill Icons needs to be bigger and at the bottom of the screen 2/ Change the Super button to not launch random EX moves when you want to use your Super 3/ Auto Combo only on L 4/ Add more combo paths for variety >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I will buy it.
While it would be beneficial to everyone, Kat is the one who might become overwhelmingly good with it. Her 5B and 2B can bully and stuff fucking anything, and with faster walkspeed it would get even worse
Ryder Anderson
You need to learn to bait DPs bro. She is so easy to bop on even with that DP.
Henry Richardson
I voted for Naru >but she's 99% in yeah man, I know, but the other characters I like have only 1% to be in, like Socie, Ayer or Danua
>Who did you play the most? Charlotta all the way. >Who was your toughest matchup? Gran. Ferry was an easier opponent. >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? My only wish is that they up the walk speed and add push back. It will immensely help the game. Because as of now, Footsies are non-existent. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Wait for the movement changes. Also hoping for cross-play between PC and PS4.
tl;dr Fix movement, and the game will be one of the best FG out there when it comes out.
Adam Thompson
It's not exactly that I love something in particular, it's more than the "flaws" I saw weren't really flaws so much as misunderstanding the game. The walk speed, short normals, pushblock, etc. all started to make sense the more I played the game and figured out how you're supposed to play it.
Cameron Miller
Voted for sheep Was torn between her, monkey or sen but she feels like she has the best chances
>how could it affect the gameplay as whole with the current skills? You'd have an easier time of moving in and out of ranges. Which makes baiting normals much easier. Also means you'd rely on run less (which so slow on start up that you can punish it easily) and would likely discourage players from feeling the need to jump in they want to get in. Characters like Ferry would have a harder time keeping people out.
Isaiah Hall
Why do people just assume everyone actually cares a lot about guilty gear when it has been and seemingly forever will be a niche game? I like this game because I like the characters, the look and design from backgrounds to character designs are better than most other games and its fun so far even with a small amount of characters for the beta
Anthony Gomez
I only fought 1 that was really good
Gavin Robinson
Beatrix. Wish I had requested Vyrn Extreme instead though. Suggested that walkspeed be made faster, dashing be made more viable, maybe look into doing a bit more with the meter (like being able to use meter to reduce EX cooldowns), and the options for combos seem pretty inflexible, suggested maybe looking into command normals.
Chase King
zodiacs wont ever be in because muh chinese she has 0 chances you wasted a vote
Grayson Reyes
Her pressure completely shuts down Ferry if she gets in. It's not some herculean insurmountable task to get in on a good Ferry, it's an interesting matchup on both sides once you know it.
Carson Howard
who hurt you user?
Easton Green
How would Cog even play? She can't physically fight and her "puppet" is not humanoid.
Jeremiah Phillips
sen has the best chance out of those
Levi Gray
>all started to make sense the more I played the game and figured out how you're supposed to play it. But they are flaws when people can identify the game going in a bad way because of it. For example do you want the game to be heavy on pressure? That is going to be the consequences of little pushback on block, it is easy enough to stay positive and keep your turn for a while. I don't because the very simple but strong mixup game will make it pretty dull in the long run. Which is what people complaining noticed.
The problem isn't that these aspects didn't make sense, but that the consequences of them won't lead to an uninteresting game.
Jace Murphy
Zodiacs are plenty popular so a representative is not that unlikely Probably not in the base rooster though
Connor Garcia
I played the beta quite a bit, all three phases. By the end of the first phase I was fairly disappointed, but by the end of the second and third phases I didn't mind it so much. My only real complaints would be what keeps getting restated in so far as though I feel that the movement speed too slow and input delay netcode has no reason to exist at this point. We've figured out how to make fighting games work very well in an online environment and for whatever reason Japan is too headstrong to utilize technology made by filthy gaijin or whatever so they don't implement it. I do have a weird feeling about the game itself though, and that is it doesn't really inspire me to play it further. Normally at 12 hours playtime of a fighting game I feel as though I've only just dipped my toes and I'll have all sorts of thoughts about how I want to explore the game further, but in GBV that feeling just isn't there. If I never got the chance to play the game again i'd be perfectly okay with that despite the fact that I did get enjoyment out of it. Combined with the aforementioned netcode issue I think that I'll probably skip GBV unless something drastically changes from now to release because even though the game isn't bad per se, I would rather just play something like UNIST, Tekken or Killer Instinct. Charlotta was definitely my favorite character, merging Honda and Akuma together in a loli is a really funny concept to me.
Game was fun bros. It made me really nostalgic for SF4
William James
I'm just saying don't get your hopes up. It's not about popularity.
Kevin James
>Who did you play the most? Ferry, with Gran and Lancelot on the side >Who was your toughest matchup? Fought some pretty good Charlottas and Katalinas. >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? There's a lot of things I like about it, like the way cooldowns are implemented and the emphasis on footsie-based neutral, like the weighty feel at times too and can really see what they were going for. The supers are satisfyingly flashy too. That said my fear is that there might not a whole lot underneath the surface even after we get proper labbing time. My suggested changes were faster walkspeed, more viable dash, possibly looking into being able to use meter besides super, and potentially looking into command normals to help diversify the characters and their combo routes. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I was going to get it day 1, but now I'm not so sure tbqh. I'm going to wait to see how they handle the feedback to the beta and which characters get shown in the next few months.
If they end up adding Karin this is gonna be an instant buy from me
Elijah Peterson
Who's confirmed in?
Blake Kelly
Question to anyone else playing Ferry. Was anyone else able to get a combo after the pull in whip followup? I was only ever able to hit them afterwards once, but was unable to replicate in later matches.
>>Who did you play the most? Charlotta >>Who was your toughest matchup? Katarina and only because I bumped into my BB partner who knew what he was doing. Everyone else was a braindead masher who died in 5 secs >>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Solid footsie game. Lacking combo game. Suggested more combo options and more meter usage options outside of supers >>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Insta-buy when its on PC
>Who was your toughest matchup? Other Charlottas. The matchup feels so jank, she’s safe on absolutely everything and you have to take huge risks to punish yourself, plus she has a billion ways to get out of pressure and even her DP is somewhat safe on block. The entire match feels like more of a guessing game than usual.
>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? It was alright, I felt as if they could do a bit more with the game though. I suggested having a couple command normals, something to do with meter besides use super and better jumping arcs. You barely go anywhere when jumping forward.
>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I’m getting it. I end up buying a lot of fighters to play with others and I find the game enjoyable, I just think it could be better.

Was planning on buying it regardless but after playing it I'm excited to play again with the full roster and a practice mode to lab stuff out

Not a fan of autocombos. It's usually shit in weeb fighters but it looks to be decent to use which will allow people to convert so much easier. I didn't have much expectations but enjoyed my time with it.
Joshua Robinson
I agree that pressure is strong, but considering that the "fixes" people are proposing would make it even stronger leads me to believe most of them don't know what they're talking about. Whether the game is interesting is up to you. I personally don't think the pressure is THAT strong except Lancelot and Charlotta (and Ferry in the corner)
Oliver Reyes
i had a charlotta mirror where parried each other like 6 times in a row taking turns, matchup is janky as fuck but hilarious
Christopher Moore
The problem with feedback for a game like this is that it often looks like people are trying to shape the game towards another series they like playing.

>Who did you play the most? Kat >Who was your toughest matchup? Ferry >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? It was really fun. >but considering that the "fixes" people are proposing would make it even stronger leads me to believe most How would more pushback lead to stronger pressure? If AAA sent you half screen, instead of basically on top of you then the pressure is lessened. People make the mistake of thinking faster walk speed means easier to get in, but ignore that not only does it mean you can get away faster but can also weave in and out and bait something from them easier.
I told you guys Charlotta was G good. You fucks stayed too much on armpit girl.
Matthew Howard
It can be like that with the Lancelot mirror unless one of the players have a slightly average IQ
Owen Edwards
if they can make rise a fighter then anything is possible.
Dylan Butler
>You fucks stayed too much on armpit girl. No I stayed on Granchad, but I played enough of Charlotta to appreciate her. Potato's cute and is a fun charge character
Thomas Bailey
The lack of options feels really frustrating
Cooper Gutierrez
Ay. He's fun but not as unga as I was led to believe. Didn't understand his dash stuff (the teleport and passthrough follow-ups) till this last session.
Brayden Hall
Charlotta is hella unsafe bro. Half her shit you can just mash out of.
Dominic Long
>fun charge character She has like one charge move and her super isn't a charge input. Disappoint.
Chase Rodriguez
True.
I was talking in general, stuff like the people asking for gatling options or being able to combo out of low/universal overhead. Pushback of course won't make pressure stronger, but I'd say the game is currently balanced around that pushback, you can't just increase the pushback and leave the rest of the game as it is. People are already crying about Ferry keeping them out, how will that work once she pushes you further even more? How would Charlotta's mixup work with increased pushback?
Brandon Walker
Do blockstrings exist in this game or should I just poke with 2A
Xavier Bell
The buttless woman
Jayden Reed
she has 2, which is the max you can have unless you somehow get diagonal charges in there
Sebastian Martin
ANY BARA WITH A BIG FUCKING WEAPON
Hudson Rogers
I wanted Shirou but I went for Ilsa instead.
John Nelson
She has ways to bait out mashing though so it just becomes a game of chicken.
Jaxon Hill
Yeah, hes pretty good if you think out how you do shit and change up doing the ground pound, air attacks, and dash after warping above someone.
Jayden Nelson
she has a bunch of safe stuff and she can easily punish mashing
You can actually grab Charlotta out of her demon flip if she goes for the slide. You can jab the dive kick. The grab window for her heavy is kind of whack too.
Her best beta tech was M M qcb.L M then either doing the blanka ball or going back into another medium and flash kicking.
Chase Green
Some of the designs in this game are just perfect, hot damn
Ethan Campbell
Nothing she does is that unsafe, it's just that a decent amount of players just go full retard and mash like mad. Can't even punish her DP on block with anything more than a f.5L, shit's ridiculous.
Adam Jenkins
>Who did you play the most? Gran. >Who was your toughest matchup? Lancelot was who I lost to the most but I think that's because I fought Lancelot much more >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? It's okay. It's nothing special and I wasn't wowed. I want less auto combos, with a faster walk speed and a more zoomed out camera >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Wait. I'm leaning towards buying it but the combination of having to renew PS+ and the fact that I can't play online a lot anyways due to logistical errors means it'll have to be real good.
Thomas Young
You could airdash after the 22 teleport?
Joseph White
>She has like one charge move >didn't even see the movelist >used skill button like a shitter embarrassing
Lincoln Green
>no new trailer eh
Tyler Allen
MORE BARAS MORE WEAPONS
Julian Reed
E3 is probably the only time we'll see something until Sendai and EVO.
Andrew Bennett
>gatling options or being able to combo out of low/universal overhead But people aren't suggesting gattling to make the game less heavy on pressure, feels like you are just crafting a strawman here.
This would still be less though if the game had more pushback. You'd have a more creative offence that ends earlier. That wouldn't be a more offensive game as your offence is still stopped. The problem right now is for very little work you can stay right on top of them. Uncreative offence plus high pressure makes a boring game. I find it weird that you claimed people will see it once we start having real tournaments when this will just make them super boring.
>but I'd say the game is currently balanced around that pushback, you can't just increase the pushback and leave the rest of the game as it is This is just deflection. Yes, any suggestion would require some re-balancing of the game. Who is sitting here going yeah keep everything 100% the same just increase push back and then ship it. Even if none of the suggestions are listened to the game will go through a huge amounts of re-balncing before launch.
>PLAY THE MOBAGE BRO >Yea Forums had the most GBFV discussion >/afgg/ was second >/fgg/ was third >/gbfg/ literally didn't talk about GBFV past the first phase of the beta and didn't even mention the beta being over No thanks, not playing with those shitters who are legitimately only interested in their gambling simulator
You can combo off CH overhead which is good enough imo.
Zachary Lee
Yeah, its less of an airdash but you can D down behind or in front on someone, and instantly belt out a 2x into 214
Bentley Nelson
the grabs actually really good and ive seen it straight up beat moves it shouldnt have, you can make the dive kick safe depending on spacing and you can do some janky double cross ups with m demon flips, ex flip,'s speed is great used in block strings when youve conditioned them to block blanka ball or rapid slash
Brody Parker
Nice. I assume you can't do that out of the dash > teleport follow up?
Kayden Wilson
You went to the general with a bunch of fujos in it that are only going to play relink and be mad that the degenerates from NorCal and New York are suddenly talking mad shit when CyGames shills GBFV into being the new Street Fighter.
Adrian Jones
should I buy gear for the remaining twelve days of this free trial of PS+? It feels like a waste to only use it for a day or so
Camden Long
I never had to try that to be honest, but lancelot had a lot of depth I wish I could have explored more. His neutral attacks had super good aa on them, shit was redic.
Brandon Lopez
Reminder that the official notation for the unique action move is U. So 5U, 2U, j.U
Ryder Jenkins
>Who did you play the most? Box >Who was your toughest matchup? Ferry if they knew what they were doing, otherwise Lancelot >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? I liked it quite a bit. Mainly just make it a bit more faster. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I was gonna buy it to begin with. I need that Gold Bar.
But the point of an overhead is to beat people blocking low
Jaxson Collins
Post the other image of the fallen down with her legs up.
Zachary Sullivan
Does Granblue really take up almost all of your free time? There are some characters that look really appealing in it, and after Versus I kind of want to try it even more, but my boyfriend (who plays the game alot) always warns me not to play it whenever I bring it up.
I don't get why people are using ABC, when the game clearly labels them as Light, Medium and Heavy.
Dominic King
You can just play, join a crew, leech rewards/skills and play through the story and do the side stories that guarantee weapons and SR/SRR characters. Never have to interact with people unless you do HL stuff
Justin Phillips
Normally, but getting a CH off someone mashing lows/sweeps and getting a full combo is fine. It's not like meaty overhead combos, just off a CH.
Christopher Jenkins
I haven't played, but judging from videos uploaded it seems very similar to Street Fighter, which is okay for me.
I want to buy it for PC, but I don't like any of the current characters in particular. Give me Siete or(AND) Djeeta.
Asher Williams
Only if you minmax shit honestly. It's not FGO levels of bad.
If you want to make any real progress, it's very time consuming. Even if you just want to do the story, there are fights later that are legitimately quite tough if you haven't grinded out a weapon grid. It's an MMO at its core, so the grind is real.
Gabriel Campbell
>why are people that play anime fighters using anime notations That's like asking why the SF people are saying everything in SF notations.
Nicholas Miller
not really, but you kind of have to be consistent in what you do decide to grind, every day, to progress.
for example, most raids have a daily limit of 2 or 3. usually, you can just decide to do those daily (host them), doing any more (joining other hosts) is going to be boring and yield underwhelming returns.
Parker Miller
You can play as much or as little as you want. Doing enough to see all the story takes very minimal effort.
Dominic Carter
>It's not FGO levels of bad. Is it opposite day? FGO is casual as shit as far as mobile games go, you only really grind during events. GBF is a constant gear treadmill every single day.
Austin Russell
GG is braindead dash and mash garbage here they at least try to make things less retarded.
Jackson Evans
Not really, it takes up your freetime if you play it hardcore, it's easy to just enjoy it casually. If your interest is mostly the story, characters and playing at your pace, it's pretty fun. It'll take up your time if you're interested in the grinding threadmill which is honestly fucking useless as events are all doable at low level, the story only has a few roadblocks requiring you to get better gear, and the only purpose to go hardcore on the grinding is to access content that lets you grind more to get stronger to get access to content that lets you grind more to get stronger to grind more etc. Fucking pointless.
Dylan Lopez
Habit from other games since ABC is meant to be universal while LMH is like DBFZ, SF specific I think. Probably lore games that I haven't played Yeah but if you land an overhead that isn't counter hit just confirm it into an EX special or super which is what I was doing on Kat
Julian Powell
FGO is literally the lowest effort mobile game, Granblue takes up way more of my day.
Nolan Brown
If Djeeta gets in, should she have her own Lyria? Or would it make sense for her to be alone since Lyria is with Gran?
>implying Lyria is alive in punished Djeetas timeline
Grayson Bell
I did the same fucking thing dude. It annoys me since I want Shirou too, but I put my vote for Sarasa instead since I wanted her a little more and she's someone who could benefit from that kind of vote the most. Since she's not impossible, but she is a low chance.
They really should have had a top 3, since with the vast multitude of characters in granblue it's fucking near impossible to ask for only one and be satisfied with it.
Cameron Lee
Considering outside of the gacha game Djeeta is her own captain with her own ship and crew instead of the main character.
SF players don't play GG or DBFZ except for a handful, and those ones play everything. Obligation fighter is a lifestyle. It makes sense though to use SF notations here because CyGames said they're aiming on making a game like SF2 and for the most part, aside from the relaxed inputs, it's pretty much SF4 tier right now.
Julian Sanders
>anime notations The proper term is "Japanese notation". Japanese SF player say 236P, not qcf.P as they wouldn't know what the fuck "qcf" means.
To be honest Shirou and Robomi's popularity is steadily rising in Japan so there's a good chance one of them will get in. Combined with Zeta and they pretty much get all the /m/ and 80s references out of the way in two characters. Plus Robomi being part of Shirou's 30% super would be great.
Nathan Bennett
It can if you want it too. I went in to just play casually and then ended up playing at least 5 hours a day every day Luckily I got kicked from my crew recently so I'm back to playing very casually
Lucas Mitchell
>Okto >Lucio fag
William Bailey
Number one pick is Naru but she's fucking in unless Cygames goes full retard. I went with Yuel instead.
Aside from Katalina, almost all of the confirmed females are someone from CyGames pet favorite. I actually doubt the female character choices will ever factor in popularity or make sense.
Owen Hill
>Ferry >mostly ended up playing Ferry dittos or against guys switching around, met a lancelot who was kicking my ass for a while, I adapted and won a game before it ended on us >I like it, not much to complain about outside of roster size but thats obviously going to get better >Yeah best onee-san NHeles__
Tyler Rodriguez
So the common complaints are: >pushback >walk speed >restrictive autocombos/not enough combo variety >desire for command normals >shit net (works on my machine) Did I miss any?
>That's like asking why the SF people are saying everything in SF notations. When dbfz came out most of the sf players started immediately using the normal anime notations, when talking about dbfz.
Jayden Wilson
When did Katalina got a stand?
Zachary Evans
t. another retarded waifu faggot
Aaron Nelson
>restrictive autocombos/not enough combo variety This may be due to not having a training room cause this game does have SF style link combos.
Sebastian Jones
supers in this game suck. They're way too cinematic for something you get every round guaranteed, and the fact that even someone mediocre at fighting games like me can fire one off with basically no risk is also dumb.
Matthew Walker
The doujin where she NTRs her sister is so good.
Nolan Watson
Net was fine. Lobbies were ass because of desync. Combos are too early to tell because it's fraudulent beta and we don't actually know what cancels into what or what values are. Proximity shit is always bad though. I think people are mashing too much cause when you slowed down inputs just a bit you could see normals that were linking in real combos. Command normals are pretty much all being put on the unique button and I HATE IT but I also understand. Walk speed needs a fractional increase but it would also mess up how the spot dodging shit is clearly designed so that's weird. Push back is the only thing that absolutely needs to be increased no matter what. There should also be a cooldown reset on EX skills that uses meter. Like, the first EX is free, then if you want to use it again before cooldown is up use meter.
Cameron Long
Movement is a problem. This game is making Koihime look like a vastly better game because of this.
It's the same game (except of course for the assists) but better movement.
Jacob Moore
If you start right now you can play the most wholesome event in the game and become a Fastiva main. Just play for the story/sidestories/events. You need neither autism nor money.
In arc 3 which is still ongoing, the game actually spoiled it because they arent there yet They teased the stand 2 years ago but it look like the main story will finally get there next update
Chase Harris
Apparently this game is set some time after GBF present time story, so I guess she gets a stand in the future. I'm sure they'll make another fucking Grand version or something to nickel and dime their paypigs even more.
Gabriel Clark
It was shown off like two Christmases ago, and recently after getting her womb fucking destroyed in the main story she went "oh no, I'm useless without a stand ...", even though Katalina has been a jobber since day one anyways.
Jonathan Rodriguez
post full pic
Christopher Russell
All of the other main party Stands are uncaps of the original unit so I doubt it. The real problem is any buff they give to her SR version might very well make her Grand look even weaker.
Oliver Sanders
>cause this game does have SF style link combos. Not really. You can link a crouching normal to a standing. But a standing far normal only combos to s a special, and a standing close normal can only go into the auto combo. You can't just do LMH as you get the autocombo,
Brayden Mitchell
it will be 5* for her story SR just like the other story SRs got which means its completely wasted because nobody uses them even with the 5* buff, i wish they gave it to the limited version instead
Asher Scott
>womb fucking destroyed wew I've been skipping through the story for a while what the hell did I miss?
Nolan Hill
It's been said but you can link it with slightly delaying inputs and it'll be a true link that they can't mash through, but what works is still super narrow.
David Martinez
>It's been said but you can link it with slightly delaying inputs I haven't seen any evidence. The combos can be surprisingly tight so I really doubt it is the case.
Julian Cox
Yuel is almost guaranteed too. I can even bet that her trailer will be at evo since her VA is often fighting there.
Grayson Brooks
Not with Gran. That niggers super loses to everything and is easy to punish
Her stomach gets hit really hard by giant mecha because she tries to block the hit thinking she is strong enough Then she realizes how useless she is because every other party member is wrecking the mechas easily with no problems due to their new powers
Sad that kat isnt voiced during that scene because her VA was on maternity leave. its really great scene and hearing her crying voice as she realizes her uselesness would have made it even better
Carson White
vira will never be in this game
Carson Garcia
Eh what that's pretty cool. Is her VA good any good?
Luis Diaz
Lancelot super (At least the one with low health) sucks too.
James Lee
she didn't actually get her womb destroyed but at one point she's punched ridiculously hard in the stomach I'm glad they're doing SOMETHING with her character because she's been incredibly flanderized over the years
Because it's beta and just like every beta it's either the character with full screen attacks that gets played to shit and figured out fast, or the most unga to the bunga double down plantoonga goona that gets played to shit and figured out fast. Then when game time comes they'll be dropped.
Noah Bell
>Broski fuck off /fgg/
Jackson Evans
his s2 isnt awful, its just not as good as charlottas s2
Justin Richardson
Granblue Versus is garbage. It's impressive how much people like it because it's shallow as a puddle. They're the same type of people who play smash or make smelly memes when they're no better.
Nathaniel Walker
unless she gets nerfed I can see the game getting old real fucking quick considering shes the only character with setplay so far
Aaron Bailey
>cant enjoy a simple game to take a break from complex games ok then nigger who doesnt play any fighting games
That's just a Dhalsim player getting to play Dhalsim while everyone else is figuring out what the fuck they're doing.
Connor Thompson
Nah his SS super is a better tool at whiff punishing from far away because the initial hitbox has a lot more forward movement. And that longer range option is looking good for matchups like Katalina and Ferry. His regular super is good for close up whiff punish
Dylan Foster
On the one hand I'd like everyone to have more going on, but the other I don't want it to be super focused on set play and offence. Hopefully the mechanics let you deal with it better so characters can be more advanced
Lowain's trailer says the game is coming in 2019 so they must be announcing more shit soon right?
Lincoln Edwards
I thought throws were supposed to beat those dodges
Juan Thomas
Big announcements in 62 days
Nathan Adams
massive character reveal for e3
Liam Brooks
Other way around I think. Low attacks beat cross over, throws beat spot dodge
Matthew Diaz
>Who did you play the most? Charlotta or Gran, probably Charlotta >Who was your toughest matchup? Ferry >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Needs more combo variety and less forced auto combos. Interesting choice to make it more like SF but some characters have better pressure than others in the neutral making it a fight for patience for characters like Kat to get in. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Waiting to see how big the base roster is. If it's 12 characters, that'd be a great start and I'd check it out on launch as I enjoyed the character variety in playstyles, even among shotos.
Nathan Scott
You're going to the game after a week, cause for some reason it just isn't holding your attention any more despite hyping it up for months.
Logan King
I don't like fighting games and unless the character I like is in I'm skipping it. Gave the beta a go just to see it.
Henry Mitchell
>tfw voted for pic related even though she'll be in anyways Burger King bros ww@?
>Who was your toughest matchup? I didn't have trouble with any particular character, I won most of the time.
>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? The combo routes were my biggest issue which what I wrote in the survey, I also had an issue with the input leniency and I would often get the wrong move when I was trying to do a super because of it. I also disliked all your moves being put on cooldown after you do a super, as well as having no use for the super meter outside of the supers themselves.
>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? I don't think I'll buy it. I did like it, but I already have other fighting games to play, I'll probably get SamSho before this comes out too and I expect a new Guilty Gear to be announced a couple of months after GBFV releases and between all that, I really don't see myself playing this for more than a month. I still do think it's good though, just not so good that I'm willing to pay full price for it considering what competition it has.
Bentley Perry
pftthahahaha
Daniel Hall
Cygames must be aware of this, I wonder if they have a story/lite rpg mode for non-fg players as well. And if all else fails just add a gold bar code.
Adrian Kelly
They non fg players have relink, they can go eat a dick
Landon Rogers
CyGames has only gotten such an influence on the anime industry that they do because they bribe people with gold bars. Since they're doing Versus for the influence, I seriously doubt gold bars won't be bundled with the game or at least a pre order bonus.
Jack Flores
Vaseraga Narmaya Siete Katalina (for Smash)
Brandon White
I would really like a decent story mode for this game. Something like GGXrd but with matches. Hell if it just lifted most of Revelator's modes I'd be happy single player wise.
Levi Robinson
There was something off about proximity normals and the autocombos. There were a few times it felt like I should get them but didn't, which wouldn't be an issue if your other normals could get more of a combo than just doing a special. You are so limited when you don't get the proximity normal.
Sebastian Barnes
The only reason I don't want Katalina got smash is to not have to deal with more of the smashed discourse against sword characters. They don't deserve her
Ayden Scott
They'll reveal Vaseraga and Zeta together
Charles Taylor
>Japanese copies only
Blake Taylor
>Smash character reveal coming on Monday
Bros... I'm thinking she's in
Sebastian Jones
You're supposed to do BBB at ranges where AAA won't activate. If your A autocombo isn't going off it's the game punishing you for using the wrong normal.
Landon Brooks
>Potato >Ferry that knew what she was doing >Losing skills after Super is annoying >Wait for a sale
Dude smashfags would get mad at anything even if sword characters weren't dominant and something else took their place. Hell even with roster picks like k.rool and Ridley the fags still aren't satisfied
Juan Carter
Why would they reveal a character monday when E3 is next week?
Blake Clark
I don't know. It's a way to make jabs less dominant. Look at SF4 which turned into jab into combo central. It might be a good thing that they don't link if you're too far away.
Owen Cook
Kek
Isaiah Sanders
I can beleive it, I'm sure there could be frame data there for slow inputs vs fast inputs especially online. But the gameplay guide does say spot dodging beats throws and that cross over beats everything except low attacks, on the premise of correct inputs
Feels good to redeem my code but never actually play it
Camden Lopez
Why would literally anyone want Katalina in Smash? It'll make these threads even worse and it's not like she'd actually bring anything interesting gameplay wise.
Logan Davis
she'd be Ice Marth
Bentley Lopez
Nah she needs air fireballs (that you can jump back with)
Not even SFV has an akuma
Brayden Mitchell
No with smash the problem is fire emblem characters because all of them except for Ike are echoes of each other. The sword isn't the problem. Nintendo can do more with a sword character but they don't because they are lazy and can just input another Marth/Roy clone
Nolan Gray
Chevira would unironically be a fantastic addition It's just a shame that they gave her the shitty Chev axe instead of the aesthetic Chev Sword because Cygames was afraid of giving Light more sword characters for the longest time
>all of them except for Ike are echoes of each other. Please look again
Jaxon Taylor
I don't know who this Ferry person is, or what she does. I've only played her for a day, but if anything happened to her, I would kill everyone in the lobby and then myself
They could also use more distinct weapon types. There's still not a spear.
Funnily enough, Granblue (especially during late 2017/early to mid 2018) also had a sword problem where you literally needed to have a sword or you were shit
Brody Hall
>not liking the bhuj
Brandon Nelson
>7 characters revealed and still only 2 fuckable girls They better reveal something at E3...
Samuel Turner
>Smash Character reveal coming on Monday >He doesn't know
The game don't ask you to grind for the actual content, you can go trough the story mode, side stories and the current events without grinding like a mad men (you will grind a little for the story mode, but it's like any other RPG). The whole grindfest start when you want to have big damage numbers to take down the HL bosses to get even stronger and stronger, but you won't get anything other in term of stories to read than a casual player.
I'm a turbocasual who can't even input the Skybound Art inputs consistently, that's why I like this game, all specials are pretty much just "press direction + R1" which is fucking great except when I met someone who didn't use them and pushed my shit hard by using the techical commands but if they used the simplified ones then I always had a good time going toe to toe with other casuals. Go ahead and screencap this and say this is the kind of shitty player that comes from mobile Granblue and that ArcSys is dead but I'm still buying this when it comes out. And I never played mobile Granblue anyway, so there, ha!
I was super excited when I saw we were getting full range of button strenghts + simplified BB drives, but the actual gameplay was really boring. It felt like launch SFV but worse.
Juan Young
aren't they all remixes anyways I don't think I heard any new music and I'm pretty sure one theme was a remix of the default Granblue battle music you never hear.
John Cruz
>>Who did you play the most? Ferry for day 1 and Katalina day 2
>>Who was your toughest matchup? Lancelot, those fuckers try hard.
>>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Its simple and I see potential in it depending on how many characters are in the final game. This could be either very interesting or get boring quick depending on how many characters are in. Also faster walkspeed and more combo options.
>>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Of course, I love anime fighters.
>Who did you play the most? I played Charlotta, Lancelot and Ferry in equal measures, as in I literally timed them so I would play one hour of gameplay of each. Didn't like Gran or Katalina. >Who was your toughest matchup? Charlotta and Lancelot >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Faster walk speed >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Definitely not going to buy if we don't get faster walk speed. The rest feels just right to me but that speed completely throws off the balance of the matches.
Luke Hernandez
At least you admit you're a casual. That's the first step.
>Who did you play the most? I wasn't able to get into the game at all. >Who was your toughest matchup? The little lock on the launcher. >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? I should would like to try it someday. >What changes did you suggest in the survey? Let people play the fucking game. >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? It's a fighting game so yes, but I'm sure as shit going to wait for a price drop.

>Who did you play the most? Gran >Who was your toughest matchup? Match ups were pretty easy, best player was probably a katalina >What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey? Games fun and I don't even like granblue, felt jumps were super easy to react to, maybe fix that a bit >Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes? Never pre order
As someone who plays fighting games a lot i feel like it was incredibly difficult to get opened up and rewarded defensive play significantly. The tech windows on throws felt like 30 frames and the only real mixup was to use the overhead button that seems reactable as well. Maybe if we got more advanced characters it would open up more.
Frankly, I'm not sure how scrubs even play anime fighters, most of them take inputs that are completely out of the realm of possibility for the average player. Do they just wail at each other with H and spam random supers? I don't think it's surprising people give up quickly on them, that must be miserable.
I think only Gran's theme and the mirror match theme are remixes of Granblue battle themes, the other ones are either original or I just can't recognize them. Exception is Ferry's theme which is a remix of her image song, Sora no Michishirube youtube.com/watch?v=L3tOKQPgiNw
I expected them to use a The Dragon Knights remix for Lancelot's theme but they could be saving that for Percival in the likely case that he's in.
Brandon Mitchell
very fast lancelot ungabungaing at incredibly hihg speeds
I have to mostly agree. I felt like I had fairly limited options in fucking up turtlers, most of my damage came from better spacing with pokes and punishing whatever unsafe moves I could bait out. The overhead move is basically just a poke unless its on counter as well, I felt like my combo potential for that outside of CH to be small in scope. I'm hoping this is just beta learning and it's not a kiddie pool in depth throughout.
Brayden Wood
>The tech windows on throws felt like 30 frames explain further
Michael Thompson
Charlotta, mirror match and Ferry's were all really really good
Lucas Morales
That user believes you have half a second to respond to a throw with a throw of your own to break it.
Caleb Fisher
The fact that Vee calls Vee Tokage is the funniest shit.
What this user said To be more specific about other fighting games usually they are unreactable like the modern SFV where you have to guess if they are going to throw or you have something like mortal kombat/soul calibur where the front/back throw is a guess on what direction they are throwing but this game barrows from BBTAG/Blazblue where you can react to throws fairly easily but extends the time even more.
Jonathan Garcia
Give me Dark 5* Vira. I wanna see Chev Bits flying around and Imai doing her crazy laugh.

Game is slow as fuck idk how the planet isn't complaining Bout that. And no it's not even remotely close to gg, dbfz, bb. It's closer to street fighter. Almost no mix Short combos
Tyler Kelly
>And no it's not even remotely close to gg, dbfz, bb. It's closer to street fighter. They've been saying that since it's inception, tho.
Aaron Adams
The only female draphs with a legitimate chance are Narmaya, Aliza and Hallesena
Zachary Anderson
Chip damage gets pretty brutal and we got a grappler on the way
John Diaz
>Oh nooooo, its not like my anime fighters! >It's closer to street fighter. Let me guess, SF2? The game they mentioned during the announcement?
Elijah Gonzalez
Everytime I got a counter hit overhead I thought to myself "this is actually just Koihime"
Owen Gray
>idk how the planet isn't complaining Bout that >t. hasn't been in the past five threads, where they talked about faster walking and shorter supers
David Gray
i've been watching people playing this game and i noticed the UI will sometimes say JUST every now and again
what the hell is that supposed to be
Nathaniel Myers
>Hallesena >that much cleavage in
Sebastian Reyes
Maybe it only works if you hit them from at least a certain range so that Ferry recovers while they're still flying at you.
Angel Miller
Another exposed footsielet

Metera is in so lewd designs aren't gate keeping anyone obviously
Justin Sanders
why give me one button dps if they can just block while airborne
A better question is why are you throwing out unsafe anti-airs on empty jumps in a game with airblocks?
Carson Ramirez
That must have been it. I think I did it off of 236M whip, started picking up OTG with 5A. I haven't been able to find any matches of other Ferry players doing it though. I'm really hoping that is a legit combo option for her and not a chance thing leading nowhere.
>Who did you play the most? Katalina, strangely. I tried her out after using Lancelot and she felt so glued to the ground by comparison. But I came back to her for her simplicity since I kept getting my shit pushed in when I was using Lance.
>Who was your toughest matchup? Charlotta. Every time I thought she was done mashing, I was almost always wrong. And the times I wasn't wrong, that fucking counter ate all of my pokes.
Ferry was a close 2nd. Felt like she was allowed to do whatever the fuck she wanted. NONE of the things I knew to be true about ranged characters and their full-screen attacks seemed to apply to her. NONE.
>What are your current thoughts on the gameplay? What changes did you suggest in the survey?
This is more of a "me" issue probably, but my beef with the gameplay is the same as my beef with BBTag's— Defense feels like 10% of the game while rushdown feels like 90% of the game, and, coming from a SF and Tekken bg that's outside of my comfort zone. Even despite being more or less comfortable with GG and BB. So since I feel like the odd man out, I'm not gonna bother recommending any changes. I just have to adapt, I'll accept that.
>Are you gonna buy the game after this beta or wait to see for possible changes?
Honestly, I'm sold on the game from just the presentation (stages character designs) alone. As a designer/artist/art appreciator, it's already in the bag for me. Especially since I dig Lancelot and Katarina (I'm 99% new to GBF).
As for who gets my vote (dunno why this question isn't in the OP) for inclusion... Lady—fuckin'—Grey! I'm already pleased with Metera basically being a shoe-in so anyone else I fancy will be a bonus.
I can't believe how many people suck at this game because got almost 150 matches and just lost 3 of them. Charlotta main and played exclusively a neutral game
You vastly underestimate CyGames ability to shill.
Jacob Russell
my bet is on Ayer or Aliza
Aiden Adams
not when every pro will be playing it for the pot bonus. CyGames and ArcSys shilling combine might even make it the second most watched and entered game at EVO 2020.
Shilling won't work with fighting games if it isn't Street Fighter. If they can get gacha-playing retards to actually dedicate themselves to FGs through Daigo exhibition matches I'll be super impressed.
Nathan Adams
Camera shy smooch.
Robert Howard
>gacha playing They're not the focus of the shills. The prize pot will make anyone who wants money and is already at EVO participate.
Anthony Wright
ferry on her honeymoon with me
Isaac Cooper
Almost all the Japanese FGC plays either Granblue or FGO, and CyGames has enough money to spend 5 million on Shadowverse pot bonuses with 1 million grand prize.
