Not really. The climbing is cool, but the world is so insanely boring that exploring starts to feel too predictable. There is just nothing interesting about BotW's Hyrule. The worldbuilding is absolutely pathetic.

Yeah it was pretty good.

Never played
Last Zelda game I played was Link to the past, which is unironically one of my favorite games of all time

Yes.

I want to be able to influence the world which I can't, other than push some rocks

oh and cut smaller trees and burn some grass

could be better, hope the sequel adds better dungeons

>climbing is cool
Confirmed for having never played the game

this is why i don't get when people say this game offers unparalleled freedom. it feels like there really isn't much to interact with. and anything you change, like cutting trees, they will just grow back anyway

what the fuck are you talking about

imagine if you could plant trees and literally grow a new forest or if you could start real fires that could burn down forests or if you could flood places, shit would be really cool

2nd best game in the last 20 years. best open world ever created. also best snoynegros seething mecanic ever created

Fourth worst Zelda game.

>2nd best game in the last 20 years
what's the 1st

>this game is the best
>let me in the same post show that I am a blatant nintendo fanboy
every single time

witcher
like fucking clockwork snoynigger, i said best OPEN WORLD

>like fucking clockwork snoynigger, i said best OPEN WORLD
I don't own a playstation and you lack self awareness, read again and contemplate until you understand what I wrote

game is just plain boring

sure

>Last Zelda game I played was Link to the past, which is unironically one of my favorite games of all time

So you played a game which became your favourite game ever and you never tried any of the others?

Eh?

Kek.

jesus christ, what a fucking drone lmao

> Empty open world.
Why even bother at that point?

when is this supposed to get funny? ive played 20 hours so far and im boored. The sanctuaries are monotonous as hell, the variety of enemies is so poor. I don't even know why im still playing it.

>it's been 21 years since dev last looked to Nintendo for quality and inspiration

damn

It really is about the journey. I wasn't disappointed when I got to Calamity Ganon and spammed bomb arrows to win. Great game. Weak final boss.

i just love to explore and glide off tall mountains to different areas. i just found this while mindlessly exploring. i think this is dlc stuff?

it is, DLC chests are marked with EX like in the pic

Well to be fair, Nintendo have been remaking the same game for 20 years

Currently playing Spider-Man on PS4.

Press control stick to light up all the activities and side quests around the city.

My heart sinks when I see the hundreds of icons I'm supposed to tackle.

I miss BotW. Where exploring was a joy and every activity was a discovery. A personal discovery.

Every fucking goon in Spider-Man is exactly the same. Exactly the same. BotW has a fuckton more variety.

>dude The Witcher 3's the best!!!
>CDPR- "We get our quality and work inspiration from Rockstar"
>FUCKING DRONE!!!!

It's a solid 7/10.

read your own post again user, but this time do it slowly...

>beat main story in a few hours
>that was kind of cool, guess I'll explore
>*literally nothing to explore*
>wtf

If you're not enjoying it in the first 20 hours, you won't enjoy it more later.

Only natural both games that played alike would continue doing so

Still seething over BotW.

You can never escape your own pain.

so is botw supposed to be comfy or something like that? it doesnt make me feel anything, but theres a lot more to discover. I don't have intentions to drop it so far

on the other hand, i just finished hollow knight 112% and it was so great; a big content of emotions. Cant even compare them

describe me what should this game make me feel? of course fun, but what is based that fun on?

Played it on PC years ago;.

7/10 game, Witcher 3 and Bloodborne are better

I really hope Great Rune isn't ass

>being this desperate

Its been more than two years dude.

Their production values team leaves A LOT to desired, couple that on with the fact they've never made a true open world game like R* or the rest. I'd be a little optimistic

Is there any open world game where overworld enemies are actually threatening and hunt you down? In every one I've played its too easy to just run in any direction for maybe a minute at most and they forget about you.

Congrats, you're not disproving his point. Modern devs worth a shit don't look to modem Nintendo for quality and inspiration. Here's Sakurai from Nintendo

Attached: nintendo's sakurai.png (796x781, 670K)

Don't listen to all the people saying it's for basedboys. It's a good game and kept me busy for hours on end

cool. it was a nice surprise to find this piece without checking out the clues in those journals you can find.

isn't the Souls twitter run by Bamco and not From

>Witcher
>The best open world
You took 2 steps forward then a massive backflip into a 5000 gallon vat of shit

I'm so confident in SM being rotten garbage that all this pic does is blow away any residual respect I still had for Sakurai. What a dumb cunt.

Being able to dick around without some annoying faggot telling you do anything post tutorial

He's made one of the 3 games keeping the switch relevant

The other 2 being Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart Deluxe

>Mario Odyssey
you mean Splatoon 2

>contrarian weeb
dilate harder faggot

No, I got it girth

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_Nintendo_Switch_video_games

right* fuck

>man i really like witcher 3 (2015)
>well CDPR said they liked RDR2 (2018), its better, checkmate
>im not a drone

user, everything about the TW3 and how it's open world implementation worked is inspired by fucking rockstar

it's alright. got boring fast though so I had to play it muted while listening to a podcast, it's really repetitive and doesn't offer a lot of varied content

the fact that you guys have these quotes ready to go in case of a flamewar is both impressive and pathetic

>Ubisoft, EA, Rockstar, etc. have been making open world games for a decade or even longer
>genre is stagnating
>Nintendo shows up
>having no background in AAA 3D open world development, they decide on a whim "Here, let me try that"
>right off the bat, Nintendo make the best open world game ever made on their very first attempt using a fucking toaster.

This will never not be hilarious.

Attached: 1538802026609.jpg (640x640, 126K)

pasta's getting a bit stale mate

samefag

did you end up beating it?

>having no background in AAA 3D open world development
That's not entirely accurate, Monolith Soft had most of their studio involved in BotW's development and they made Xenoblade Chronicles X just before that.

lol fucking what

got about 60 hours worth of playing so far and this is the first time ive seen it snow. pretty cool

It's been 20 years & still no game has ever come close to this flawless masterpiece. No other games opening theme song invokes the magical feeling like this, anyone who played it growing up can still hear the horse galloping in the background
youtube.com/watch?v=gP39ZRq__fA&t=2548s

It was fun the first time around and when you found new/interesting stuff in the world, not much replay value though. But I would say that applies to most of the 3D games really
