GL4 might not actually be a DPS increase over Fists of Fire.

The damage buff from GL stacks additively but damage buffs from multiple sources stack multiplicatively. So on a 100 potency attack:

GL4 does give you +5% haste, but because haste doesn't affect oGCDs, it's not a direct +5% damage increase. It comes down to whether +5% damage on weaponskills only works out to more than +3% damage on ALL attacks.

It was in the patch after the glamour dresser was added, I believe.

It's still not ideal because for one you still can't apply plates outside cities or housing areas, so if you switch jobs anywhere else the plate won't take effect. And second because if you assign a plate to a gearset, you chat log gets spammed with all the glamours being applied every time you switch to that set.

All they did was have Urianger offer some kind of plausible explanation. And you never should have taken it as absolute truth because NPCs in this game aren't treated as all-knowing. They fuck up the lore of their own setting all the time, intentionally. Urianger just thought it was more plausible that Bahamut fucked up the simulacrum than that Nael was actually pretending to be a man for over 15 years and never got found out.

Read tool tips. Keep your buffs up from doing your 3 combos. Use your 1 sen dot and build up to 3 seen to madara setsuna enemies for big damage. At higher levels you instead want to use the skull that consumes your sen to give you kenki, but that's going away soon so who cares. It's pretty easy after playing around with it for a little bit

SAM isn't tremendously complicated but you do have to switch gears a bit once you gain kenki on every attack and Shinten. Essentially:
>Keep Guren on cooldown
>Keep Higanbana active for as long as possible, refresh it when reaching 10 seconds or lower. Always use Hissatsu Kaiten with it, the potency boost DOES translate to each tick of the DoT
>Shifu skillchain, then Jinpu skillchain, then Yukikaze skillchain. Speed-up is more important than strength-up and slashing-resistance
>Keep Meikyo Shisui on cooldown, you can start a fight by immediately eating three sens with Hagakure to have 70 more kenki to play around with
>Use Hagakure whenever it's available, because:
>Shinten spam is a far higher priority than Midare Setsugekka, and for that you'll want as much kenki as possible and as many sens eaten with Hagakure as possible. Only use Midare when Hagakure is on cooldown and there's nothing else pressing to spend your sens on
>For the love of God use Third Eye when you're about to be hit with a raidwide or other party-hitting attack. Merciful Eyes is an enmity dump, and you generate enough aggro that Diversion won't help you forever. Hissatsu: Seigan is a 200 potency attack leading from a Third Eye proc, but unless you're trying to minmax your parse, you'd sooner spend the Third Eye proc on an aggro dump, and the kenki on another Shinten or Kaiten

You are correct, you need to be able to heal yourself, and black mages aren't great at that. Just queue up for Titan HM normally, you have to do it at least twice in the MSQ anyway so there are always people doing it

Yes. You have to do Titan HM twice, once before 2.4 because it won't let you continue until you do, and then once later in 3.4

Not anymore. Used to be a thing briefly when pvp roulette gave more exp. Then people figured you could just queue up and afk, because you got good exp regardless of whether you won or lost. Now the exp doesn't seem to be worth much.

It's "safe" but you're locked into using your Steam account to pay for it. Buy it from Square Enix directly and just set Steam to use their launcher if you want to play, the game goes on sale or for free almost constantly outside of Steam.

Wait if there's no sale going on, otherwise hunt around for sales, greenmangaming or G2A for keys. I snagged the base game and Stormblood for about $20 total when I started playing. If you buy a key, pay attention to the region the key is from because that will lock your XIV account to that region, and keys are not compatible with accounts from other regions.

As a BLU player; Pretty much this. Really I just want to be able to use it in some relevant content, even if it's just endgame shit. If you have PoTD then do that cuz that's like 3 levels pre 20. Otherwise hunt log till you can do leveling and current dungeons. You can do 1-20 in like 4 hours.

Them deciding not to do more limited jobs doesn't mean that the jobs they would have added as limited will get in as full jobs. It means those jobs will never get in period. The whole reason they've tagged certain jobs like Beastmaster as limited jobs is because they could never add it in any other capacity.

Do your quests and logs. It doesn't take that long, and once you have one class at high level it speeds up the rest.

MP already worked like that; they just changed the visible number. It was always a fractional calculation. The thing they did 'change' was piety, and even that wasn't a real change; they just took away the visible number effect and had it explicitly affect mp regen, which it did before.

go to cape west wind and one shot the lvl50 mobs as a lvl70 caster and swap. Keeep chain killing until lvl16. Should take maybe 20 minutes or less

There's plenty of people that run it for weeklies since it's an easy source of poetics and allied seals, for the time being that's BLU's endgame. I don't usually quantify how successful a job is by how many people I see loitering in towns with it active, otherwise RDM and SAM would be the best jobs ever

There was never a chance of getting BLU into the game as a raid-ready job because of its potential skills and ability to neck itself, which they've apparently been kicking around on and off since ARR if they should try to add it or not and didn't want to compromise on. On reveal they worded it as BLU would never be added to the game unless it was in the form of a limited job that can't muck with the WoW-like endgame, so we got BLU as side-content because there was enough demand for it and they've pitched Puppetmaster and Beastmaster as other no-hoper jobs that could be added as limited.

Removing it would be retarded for sure, but it needs a heavy dose of reworking.
An interesting way to do it while keeping the Limited part would be to have it match the current max level (we know the 50-70 spells are already done, if their '120 spells' claim is true), keep the roulette restrictions, and additionally, completely prevent it from getting into any content on the Raid Finder.
That way, they can't fuck up current endgame content, but can still do current zones.

You get a monster exp buff for a long time when you make a new toon there

SE wants to direct the flood of new players it, so if you join that serve while it's preferred you get the "road to 60" buff which means all jobs below 60 will get double EXP.

the main story quest is the meat of the game, and it syncs your level down a lot. you will miss nothing from being over leveled.

there's also several tutorial modes you can do if you want to 'git gud' at lower levels
