The game was simple yet beyond complicated, there were so many little tricks and glitches you could use to make various shapes and to transform the voxels into literally anything. I'd go around and save every image I could of peoples buildings to try and archive all those ideas and designs.

No game has really had all the same aspects that made Minecraft so lasting. Minecraft is known for being a creative sandbox and for moddability. Every "-esque" game has either had a different gameplay direction or has had a lack of mod support and/or being light on content. Hytale seems to be the first game (that isn't Roblox) to attempt to implement all the aspects Minecraft ticked.

I put so many hours into Landmark, the most fun building in a game to date. It's a shame you could tell that the MMO wasn't doing well and they started shifting the dev focus on Landmark. Instead of fleshing out the game they decided to add in progression, pvp, and other bullshit.
