People play that because the only other populated fighters are SFV, DBFZ and MK11.

Don't know how MK11 is but SFV and DBFZ are even more shit than Tekken 7. Tekken would be fun if you don't have to spend months learning strings and moves and their frame data and how to counter with ducks and sidesteps for over 40 characters.

T7 was blowing SF5 out of the water till Capcom paniced and announced that entering SF5 in EVO would get you a free Capcom shirt, which then the sign ups went way up since it's not like it costs the player anything to just sign up.

There's an international, all female league for T7. Males aren't allowed to enter due to that being an unfair advantage. The girls that do compete in regular tournaments don't make it out of qualifiers in most cases.

How do I counter this fool? I've just had to deal with an orange rank Leo with 2000 wins, and it was one of the most unga bunga series of matches I have ever played. The guy simply had no fucking concept of neutral. Non fucking stop would this guy close the distance with his zillion strings and evasive moves that made it hard for me to intercept. I can't reliably pressure him with jabs because most of his moves high crush, sidestep doesn't work because he can throw out strings out of the wazoo, and being forced to defend is a nightmare because of his ridiculous amount of mix-up strings, where one mistake gets me launched and carried all the way to the wall, on top of having ridiculous oki options to make waking up a nightmare.

The most I could do was play a keepout game by KBDCing away like mad and intercepting him as he tries to approach, but in a stage with walls the extent to which I could do this was limited, so if he got in I basically had to count my prayers as there was no way I could reliably predict when to low parry his strings.
